Nothing could have been better.

Everything was wonderful. From the moment we arrived we were very well looked after by Ravi and Rita. We felt at home and what a wonderful paradise to call home - everything has been thought of from incense sticks and handwashing equipment to the breakfast and a water machine. The rooms and whole property are well and beautifully designed using lots of natural materials. Whether you want to use this place as your base and just spend the mornings and evenings there or whether you want to stay there during the day too to have a chill or read by the pool in the garden - we couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

We spent 6 days in this oasis of peace and greenery. The host Ravi was very friendly and helpful, while not being intrusive. Everything is made with attention to every detail and has an unique character. The breakfast was very good and in sufficient quantity. I recommend both for relaxation and as a base for sightseeing. Thank you Ravi for this wonderful experience, we felt like we were in a family home!

We loved the whole experience & would not change a thing !

We loved the quiet privacy of our villa. The pool was fabulous & the breakfast was different every day & freshly cooked for us with both traditional eggs, bread, cereal & coffee along with delightful Mauritian pastries.. Ravi the owner was so kind & helpful with dinner /restaurant recommendations. We would definitely recommend & return. The property is a 5 minute walk from the beach ⛱️ & an oasis of natural plants & animals & that in itself was an experience at night. Our villa was very comfortable with kettle/tea/coffee in thr room & fresh clean towels to use in our outside shower. Honestly we didn't want to leave !

Bahmanhut is a perfect getaway in Mauritius. Located in nice neighborhood close to beautiful beaches. Its garden is full of exotic plants that attract a lot of birds. The cottage is perfectly done, as the complex as whole. The host and his family have been more then helpful for all that we could have needed during our stay. This place is more an experience then just a place to stay.

The access road to the house is not ideal. But that's really a detail...

Basically everything. It's hard to find a flow. I've searched for the whole northern area for something I could enjoy and nothing compared to Brahmanhut. Ravi is a fantastic person and, in addition to the place itself, he would be the reason why you can't miss staying there.

Outstanding stay! Exceeded my expectations. The ambience, the location, the nature, the huts, the pool, the breakfast, the room, the calmness, but most importantly the hosts Rawi and Liza were super attentive, positive, kind and generous! This is a hidden gem. Dont miss out. Close to the bust stop, the beach is only 10 minutes walk, close to scuba dive centers, and supermarket. There is an amazing spa next door too. The nature surrounding the bungalows is amazing! The birds signing and the green is blooming. Breakfast was served beautifully in the terrace, super complete, healthy and satisfying. There are a few amazing cats and rabbits that are super nice.

There are no negatives about staying at Brahmanhut

We loved our stay at Brahmanhut. There are three modern Eco Huts in a lovely green garden, with a wonderful pool. The garden is so lush and green you won’t even notice you have neighbors. It’s located just off the main beach road. Ravi and his daughter Liza were super helpful and provided a lovely breakfast every morning. I would definitely stay again when visiting Mauritius.

The only thing I can think of is that the swimming pool could've been a bit more refreshing (it was quite warm).

It was a really nice, small place with private bungalows. The outside bathroom, facilities and common area are all great, as well as the swimming pool and breakfast. Not to forget that the owners are super friendly!

Sandrine and Ravi make this place to a unique and very beautiful location. The rooms are very cosy enclosed in a lovely garden. We enjoyed the diverse breakfast together with other guests. The hosts supported us and provided many helpful recommendations throughout our stay such as organizing a taxi for arrival and departure. The accommodation is in a very quiet, slightly remote location in a dead-end street. For excursions on the island or to the beach we used a rental car.

Brahmanhut is a super place to stay - it is clean, comfortable and in beautiful surroundings. The swimming pool is fabulous and there is plenty of space both in the garden, by the pool, on the terrace and in the hut itself. I travelled with my daughter (early 20’s) and we had a very peaceful and relaxing stay. More important that of all of this though, it is the kindness and helpfulness of the hosts, Ravi and Sandrine, who went out of their way to assist us with organizing car hire, taxis and a wonderful catamaran trip to the nearby islands. It was great being able to stay in what felt like your own private villa, away from the hustle and bustle of the coast but near enough to be accessible to some good beaches and restaurants. We particularly liked the Banana Beach restaurant in Grand Baie which plays live music nightly and was great fun particularly on the Saturday night we were there. We also loved watching the sun setting from the beach at Bain Boeuf. Thank you Sandrine and Ravi - we will be back!

For a solo female traveler without a car the location is not ideal as a 25 minute walk on poorly (un)lit streets to cafes/bars/restaurants. Not a problem during the day.
