Switzerland1 week of wind not permitting us to use the beach. The south is know for being windy, but if you are going for activities it doen't matter.
Location amazingly quiet and resort landscaping is beautiful. The resort, rooms escpecially need some maintenacne but i believe they are short of funds., especially after Covid. But the staff made up for it being exceptionally friendly and helpful. Food variety was good, quality medium, Their open air restaurant lovely set up by pool overlooking the beach. The beach is nice but always very windy. What is great from the Sofitel you are very close to great activities such as The Vanille Nature Park , La vallee des 23 couleurs Park, Gris gris beach, which i highly recommend

Staff were super friendly and very attentive. Krishna and Raj in particular were wonderful and made us feel at home. Housekeeping was great and the room we booked had an amazing view of the beach. The plunge pool was the perfect temperature.

Lovely location with a Robinson Crusoe feel. Amazing pool Welcoming and attentive staff especially Élodie and Raf who offered to keep the room after checkout time.

RomaniaThe facility is about 13 years old and definitely needs refurbishment. Being a big property you need a golf cart to move around and get to the parking. Nevertheless there are only 2 carts serving 92 rooms and waiting time is quite big sometimes

Creatively designed property at a scenic location. Staff generally helpful. As we alighted from the car, we were warmly greeted by Pradeep. During our entire stay, Raj was always there to take care of our every need. The Quality Manager was also very warm very patiently listened to our feedback about the stay.

Didnt mind the 'expensive' beer and wine, but water should be incuded.......and in general would put food at 3-4 star, could seriously be much improved. Did feel a little like being taken for money, first and last action involved payment, dont have any issue paying for anything (kinda miffed paying for water), but seemed to drive most situations, should be more discreet......
Lovely room, very good dining area. Wife enjoyed Spa. The people there were so lovely! Nothing too much! Oh, the beds, fabulous comfy, comfy, comfy......bliss! The addition of a light projector in room at first disoriented us, but was a delightfully nice touch, a little unusual in a nice way! "To provide extra ambiance on yoir last night".

MalaysiaThere was no wifi in the rooms (only in the lobby and restaurant) which was a little tricky for us. Mainly the disappointment though was the kids club which is really very very poor and not comparable to other hotels in any way. The ladies that work there are sweet and very kind but its a tiny, dim lit room, the toys are broken, the paint is chipping, its is far far from the expectations of a resort kids club. The timetable is vague and the activities are not properly run or planned for. We went for the scheduled treasure hunt and the lady then made the kids close their eyes while she hid old wooden baby bricks around the garden for them to find in less than 5 minutes (compared to other hotels where there is full planning and a proper activity experience.) With a relatively small budget it can be upgraded and I think it should be done urgently because its a real shame. To be honest its a very depressing space, it looks like a rundown pre school. Again the staff are kind (but are often on their cell phones) and the space they are working in is far from ideal and therefore the kids are all a bit bored and left to their own devices meaning hardly any children stayed in the space more than 30 minutes or so without getting bored and wanting to leave.
The hotel staff are an absolute pleasure and I would like to particularly mention the manager Raj who went above and beyond to check in on us every day and ensure we had a great stay, Rajiv in the restaurant who was both caring and flexible with kids food and ensuring my little girl had a great variety. He was generous and wonderful with families. Finally, Mehnaaz in the shop who was so unbelievably kind and interested in my daughter. She became our holiday "best friend" (according to my 6 year old!) and truly gave us a magical experience with her interest and engagement. The food was good (not great but fine) and the breakfast buffet was ok - nothing from a food or drinks POV went above expectations but neither was anything disappointing. It was all absolutely fine. Beyond the staff, the rooms are lovely (if a little worn down) and the beds very comfortable. The whole hotel is a little on the old side so it could do with some TLC but for the price I think its great value and we slept very well.
