We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandI had an excellent stay and rate it 9/10. However, there are a few areas where the resort and staff could improve to create a true 10/10 experience. 1) Some waiters at Kaani Restaurant could be more attentive and kind to guests. There were a few instances where two of the waiters were either passive-aggressive, for no particular reason, towards us (two very harmless ladies). One night, the elderly waiter refused to let us sit at an unreserved table. Again, on another night, he completely ignored taking our order and took a long time to attend to us. We remained kind and respectful to everyone throughout our stay, despite the unfair treatment we experienced on a few occasions. The elderly waiter later apologized for his behaviour on our last day at the resort and made us necklaces from palm tree leaves. All we ask is that all paying guests be treated with the same level of respect and dignity as others at the resort in the future. This could be resolved with awareness and more training regarding unconscious biases. 2) More frequent ferry rides between the island and ocean villas would also help, as we sometimes felt rushed trying to balance activities and meal times. 3) It would be beneficial to have a first aid kit and an eye-wash station at reception. On our departure day, my friend had an eye irritation from the infinity pool’s chlorinated water. She was told she'd need to ferry to the island, wait for a doctor (available only at set times), and pay US$50 for an appointment. Something a simple eye-wash station could have easily resolved. 4) Watersports activities were nearly double the price compared to other local islands, which was disappointing learn. 4) Lastly, I was almost double-charged for my seaplane return ticket and green tax (US$571), both of which had been prepaid on arrival but were mistakenly added to our final bill.
The welcome we received, from Velana Airport to the break in the business lounge and all the way to the resort, was warmly appreciated. Our ocean villa was superb and flawless. There are four restaurants in the resort; one within the ocean villa premises and three inland. Azzuro and Kaani Restaurants were the ones we frequented during our three-night stay. Azzuro was amazing, thanks to their friendly staff, particularly Suraj, and Kaani Restaurant impressed us with its buffet-style meals with the lovely beach views. All daily meals were fresh and thoroughly enjoyed.

Saudi ArabiaReview from All inclusive guest" -Poor snacks. -Laundry ruined my clothes "colour changed" -Activities is so expensive. Even for all inclusive guests -The staff need to smile when talking to guests. -More food on menu for all inclusive guests. -More flexible in taking food to room "all inclusive guests" so they can enjoy the day by doing activities and eat at room whenever they are back. -All inclusive guests" should have 50% discount and more features as non alcoholic/muslim guests other than sneakers and pipsy 1 a day. to feel i paid for the service i deserve. -network was so slow. This list can be longer. That is what i remember so far.
-Staff "laila" and"Fiona". -Liked the view -Liked the houskeeping they can come and clean anytime during the day multiple times. -Liked the privacy tgere. -Staff is helpful.

United StatesMake sure to go over the documents they send you in detail! Your all-inclusive package does not include all the restaurants on the main island! They state it in the documents they send you, but if you are not paying attention, you won't know, and when you realize that it is too late and you will have to pay for pricy meals. There are also small things that can improve the experience. For example, they should just put snorkeling gear in all the rooms. At the moment, you have to grab them at the main island and return them the day before your departure! Finding marine life is very luck based; you might see something in the water that you want to jump in and take a closer look at the morning before you leave the hotel, but you won't have your gear. You can also bring your own gear with you to the hotel!
It was our first time traveling to Maldives, so cannot compare this hotel to others, but the whole experience was terrific! If you stay in one of the In-Ocean rooms, you are basically staying in the middle of an enormous exotic aquarium. Any time you desire, you just jump into the water and see all kinds of marine life, including turtles, stingrays, baby sharks, octopuses, and all kinds of fish! We even watched a group of dolphins swim around the reef. The room we stayed in was huge, which made us feel like we could stay in the room our entire trip without feeling the need to go out. The staff was great, but we stayed here during Ramadan, which was extra tough on them, having to fast. Also, there is a baseline difference between hospitality in the US and Maldives; having said that I think they did a decent job. The food options were good, but not particularly memorable.

Singaporeservice and staff were generally good, but was quite inconsistent. would expect better from a place like this. could do better with the quality of the events planned in the resort and have better whiskey based options in the all inclusive drinks list
amazing setting and the water villas were perfect. I have been to other resorts in Maldives as well and the water villas here are right there with the best. the corals in the house reef are one of the best among Maldives resorts and you can see anything from sharks to stingrays from your villa alone.

SingaporeEstablishment should undergo renovation the soonest. Certain portions of the overwater villa already aged and experienced structural damaged. Need to be repaired the soonest.
Excellent hospitality and friendly stafts. Were very well taken care from the very moment got picked up fron the airport. Having the house reef directly on doorstep! Encountered so many aquatic wildlife throughout. Exotic reef fishes, sharks, stingray, seaturtle, and the list go on!

United KingdomFrom the moment we were collected at the arrivals in the airport, we were well taken care of. We were met by a member of staff who promptly dealt with our seaplane flight that was booked through the hotel prior to arriving in the Maldives. We were escorted to the lounge whilst waiting for the flight, something we did not expect. Once we arrived, we had realised that we had made a good decision to stay here. We were welcomed with some snacks and a drink and were shown the facilities available in the water villa location. We were added to a WhatsApp group where all meals and activities were shared with us throughout the stay. The availability of activities was great and we were never left bored at any point during the day. Our villa was big and we thoroughly enjoyed the use of the private pool. The facilities were clean and well taken care of. The food was tasty and we were never left hungry.

United KingdomI think the only thing that could be improved on was the snacks in your room, with two of the restaurants having certain meal times you are only able to go to the kuredi bar. The snacks that are provided in your room only consist of a mini tube of sour cream and onion Pringles and a mini Snickers bar.
Lots of choice for breakfast and the themed nights at Kaani restaurant were very good. Food at the Kuredi bar and Azurro restaurant were also very good. Lots of space in the In Ocean Villas. Also loved the land villas where you could walk straight into the ocean on a very quiet beach. That being said, we would highly recommend using the package that allows half of your stay on the beach and the other half in the In Ocean Villas.

United KingdomWow what can I see angsana velavaru was incredible and excelled all of our expectations. The island is naturally beautiful but the staff and resort were the main attraction and reason for this review. Once we arrived the lovely staff did so much for us and took care of us, from airport check in to being in our villa. The in Ocean villas are also gorgeous and a must do on your trip! There are so many activities to do on the island, and the all inclusive feels luxury with the Al la carte at the restaurants. As mentioned the staff are the highlight of the journey. Ageel at the diving centre was incredible with me as I was anxious about snorkelling for the first time, and was so kind and patient. He did go above and beyond multiple times. The restaurants and reception all had amazing staff and some I don't know their names but I know Suraj at the bar and Laila at the restaurant at the villa side were incredible and went above and beyond in terms of service, always smiling and there to help. Honestly was a perfect honeymoons and so glad we picked angsana - deffo recommend the spa also was an experience unlike any other would 100% return!

United KingdomThe fact that all inclusive isn't really all inclusive unless you upgrade to one of the more expensive plans like Style or Max package. Beach villa had a few ants on my side of the bed and floor for Ocean Villa was not hoovered but instead the cleaner was using a broom to sweep the whole place so dirt and sand remained on the floor.
My wife and I had the most amazing time and we couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon. The resort and the villas especially the Ocean Villas are beautiful. We would like to say a special thank you to Ana who is a star and her team Mafaaz, Aman, Ayaaz and the rest. We would also like to say a very special thank you to the staff at the Inland restaurants who are ever so attentive, warm and welcoming and always know how to bring a smile and laughter to our faces not just knowing how to cook fantastic meals and making some of the best drinks I've had, so thank you Sunil, Littu, Zahraan, Sharman, Sajwan, Fazeed, Zayid, Sebastian, Alsan, Ali Shah, Yara, Hathrin and the rest of the team we thank you all ever so much for everything and looking after us from start to finish. We honestly didn't want to leave and I honesty feel that its the staff who make this place even more beautiful to visit. Thank you once again
