Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaFrom the pickup at the airport to the drop off at the airport the Standard staff were friendly and available at all times to answer any questions. Zainu, my host, was always reachable and gave me daily updates with the activities available. My over the lagoon bungalow was spacious, with sun on the private deck/pool. It was nice to be able to get into the lagoon directly from my deck. I took 3 Zumba classes with Mikey (2 on land and 1 in the pool). This was my favourite of all the activities I did. Mikey is a great instructor; his class was not only the best workout I had in months but also the most fun (I typically workout 4-5 times a week, so that is saying something!). I left each class feeling good and in a better mood than when I walked into the class. I enjoyed the snorkelling excursions, the night snorkelling was an especially neat experience.

PakistanIf there’s one place that captures the essence of paradise with luxury and that too on a reasonable budget, it’s The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives. From the moment we soared over endless turquoise waters on a seaplane, we knew we were about to experience something truly special. Touching down at the resort felt like stepping straight into a postcard—pristine white sands, lush palm trees, and that signature Maldivian blue stretching as far as the eye can see. Exceptional Hospitality – A Special Thank You A huge shoutout to Paola, our incredible host, whose warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made our trip seamless and unforgettable. From personalized recommendations to surprise touches that made every moment special, he truly went above and beyond. The Resort – Where Island Luxury Meets Playful Vibes The Standard Maldives offers a fresh take on Maldivian luxury, blending relaxation with a vibrant social atmosphere. The resort features: ✅ Overwater & Beach Villas with private plunge pools, outdoor decks, and direct access to the ocean or beach. ✅ Six dining & bar options, including BBQ Shak for grilled seafood, Guduguda for authentic Maldivian cuisine, and Beru Bar, an overwater lounge with a glass-bottom dance floor! ✅ The Standard Spa, featuring a Hammam, aroma steam room, and a selection of massages & treatments. ✅ A 24-hour infinity pool, ideal for late-night swims and sunset lounging. ✅ A dive & water sports center, offering snorkeling, diving, jet skiing, paddleboarding, and dolphin cruises. ✅ A wellness & fitness program, including sunrise yoga, meditation, and Zumba by the beach. ✅ Community engagement activities, from dance classes to open-air movie nights. ✅ An ultra-Instagrammable sandbank experience for private dining or just soaking in the endless ocean views. Our Stay – A Perfect Mix of Relaxation & Adventure Our ocean-facing overwater villa was nothing short of spectacular.

Saudi ArabiaFirst of all, the sea was incredibly beautiful, with crystal-clear water that was perfect for snorkeling. Our villa provided more privacy, and the pool was just perfect (we stayed in the lagoon-side beach villa, which offers more privacy compared to the ocean-side villas that have less privacy but are closer to the sea and more ideal for snorkeling). The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was wonderfully spacious. The food was delicious and offered a great variety. The hotel is also child-friendly. We really enjoyed the activities, especially the sunset fishing, which was a lot of fun, and we caught plenty of fish. The staff was exceptionally helpful, making our stay worry-free! We appreciated how well-organized our departure from the hotel was, with assistance all the way to check-in at the airport. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

United KingdomThe gym equipment was quite limited.
Beautiful island and super friendly staff. We loved the food, the amazing beach, the water sports and the evening entertainment (with two very good movies to watch under the stars and a great DJ on a couple of occasions too). The tennis court is pretty good too, although best to bring your own racquets as the ones available onsite were very basic. We all enjoyed the bikes to move around the resort.

I have been coming back to the Maldives every year for the past 10 years. Of all the places, this one had everything I missed elsewhere. Excellent reef, very good location, no breakwater in the water in front of you, and the value for money was surprisingly good. We stayed in an overwater bungalow with its own jacuzzi, which was a special experience. Usually other resorts with similar conditions cost twice as much. What I also really liked was that the separation from the neighboring bungalows was better than elsewhere, because the partition extends over the water, so it is completely private, your own little house, no one can see you. The overwater villas are very well designed, because they lean inward, which also contributes to the feeling of privacy. The room is large, the bathroom is very large. You don't need to bring diving equipment, there is one in each room that you can use. The food is delicious and varied, the staff is very kind and caring. Our personal assistant was also always at our disposal for everything, special thanks to Poula for that! I would like to point out that if you don't like walking, you can use free bikes or order a golf cart to any point on the island. The island is not that big, you can walk around it in 20-30 minutes, it is nice and clean and well maintained.

United Arab EmiratesNo Complaints but perhaps some of the coral around the resort was harder to get to.
Overall the resort was amazing and exactly like a picture postcard with clear clean white sand and crystal clear lagoon. The service was impeccable, especially from our host, Powla who was at hand at anytime we need some help or advice. The resort offers amazing food buffet and facilities and all you could want for an amazing stay. I had a 6 month old and they went out of their way to help us settle in and make it easier for us during our stay. Only regret is that we didn't go All inclusive and went for half board but perhaps next time. Would highly recommend The Standard to anyone who wishes to experience a taste of paradise!

LithuaniaThe Villas can look better from the outside.
We had a great experience at this resort—it offers excellent value. We stayed at The Standard for 3+1 days, then spent two days at Heritance Aarah (all-inclusive) before returning to The Standard for our final night. While Heritance Aarah was nice, it lacked the value that The Standard provided. The Standard was twice as affordable, with a better buffet for both breakfast and dinner. They also arranged our transportation to and from Aarah Island, making the transition seamless. Overall, we had a very positive and friendly experience and would highly recommend The Standard for its value and service. The staff was excellent, and the kids' club was so enjoyable that the children wanted to stay longer.
