Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. SwitzerlandThe bathroom is too dark and too hot because no window opens. The person (Oabab?) who looked after our overwater villa never cleaned the floors with water and cleaning products during the 13 days of our stay. The tiled shower walls are soaked with old shower products/soap, the bathtub was never cleaned. For the price of the stay, a complete renovation or disinfection of the bathroom would not be a luxury.
13 magnificent days for our 10th wedding anniversary. Beautiful overwater villa with direct access to the transparent water to swim with the many turtles and see sharks, rays and all kinds of fish. White sand. Varied and succulent food buffet style with a theme each day. Very friendly and smiling waiters and cooks, always ready to help. A big thank you to Mikhaela, Kaira, Aakash, Bashir, Shirfa, Mahbub and all the other persons whose names we can't remember...

ItalyThis was the most beautiful trip of my life. The place is fabulous between the nature reserve, the white sand and the crystal clear sea ensures a unique dream emotion. The kindness of the staff and their professionalism made me feel really at home, I would like to thank the whole team with all my heart. You are special people. The whole island is perfectly in order, the food is good, the rooms are cleaned twice a day, they are happy to fulfill your every wish, you can't ask for more! I was moved when I left because a piece of my heart remained there!

PolandHaving to leave.
Perfect location - a resort on its own island and you can walk everywhere in bare feet. The snorkelling was good and we could swim and snorkel straight from our beach villa. After swimming and snorkelling, we could cool off in our very own plunge pool. We loved the bathroom. The shower and toilet were outside in their very own courtyard and under a thatch roof - perfect. The bed was large and very comfortable. The beach villa was kept very clean and anything we required, it was just a matter of asking Aminul who was very quick. Breakfast and dinner were in the Cowrie Restaurant which provided a buffet service. The food was very good and sometimes it was very difficult to make a choice from the delicious offerings on the buffet. The Cowrie Restaurant is recommend if you are on full board or breakfast/dinner deal. The Beach Bar is great for watching sunsets and you are served by very attentive staff. In fact, all the staff were very attentive and it was a pleasure to receive their service. Some people we want to mention are Nalinda who looked after us superbly when we dined in the Cowrie Restaurant. When arriving at the Cowrie, you are greeted by a very friendly Soumya who directs you to a table and makes sure everything is to your satisfaction. Finally, Aminul who looked after our beach villa and made sure that we had everything we required with a very friendly smile and service. Finally and if you are very lucky, you may catch a turtle nest hatching and baby turtles rushing to the sea. We did and it was a once in a lifetime chance. You do have to obey the directions from the marine biologists who look after the turtles. You can leave the hustle and bustle of city life behind you, slow down and relax on this beautiful resort island. RECOMMENDED.

ThailandNothing! Although if you’re not confident on the sea, the whole sea plane to a floating platform and then onto a boat could be unnerving!
This was a bucket list, 50th birthday treat and was everything I hoped for and more! The staff were fantastic-from arrival in Male, to seaplane, to boat arrival at coco palm, and every day until we left! Service was exceptional and everyone greeted you with a smile and how are you. It felt very genuine too and not forced. Highlights were our amazing lagoon villa which was maintained daily by Kashim (he added extras for my birthday too!) and the lovely Saeed at the restaurant who noticed small things like how I liked my tea! The turtle sanctuary was informative and the volunteers were just lovely and even the gift shop owner was great to talk to. And I swam with a reef shark and a stingray who were just hanging out in the lagoon! Wow!

Yes, there is something bad about this place: eventually, you will have to leave and go home! Absolutely awesome experience, from the crew to the food, our stay was pure joy. The place is fabulous, the features and lagoon piloti villas are perfect, the attention of the crew is just enough. Special thank you to Oahab for his professionalism and for setting up a perfect room everyday, to Zaaid for his energy and experience during the tours and to Didi for being the best waiter and an absolute gentleman. We will be back as soon as we loose the weight we gained from the delicious buffet. The island is a wonderful quiet paradise, they will provide you with snorkel kits and you will see turtles, manta, sharks and a million other colourful fishes. Don’t hesitate and book already!

ItalyNothing really relevant comes to my mind... Go check yourself.
Let me start from someone else complaints: do you really want a TV set when staying in Maldives? Please just go outside your room and enjoy the beauty of the nature, during night time enjoy stars and Milky Way... your TV set is waiting at your home when you'll come back... and I can promise you, you will miss the peace and beauty of Maldives. That said, I've been several times to Maldives so far in different atolls and resorts: all were somehow good or great, but what I can say about Coco Palm Dhuni is that is most eco-friendly and maldivian-style place to stay. You may look for larger resorts, with pools (pool in Maldives? Seriously?) and more amenities, but you won't feel the real pleasure of staying in a natural place which respects the environment and its roots. Second highlight: you have there the Olive Ridley marine turtle center which is really, really nice. They take care of unlucky turtles with passion and love! Third: swim in the lagoon and 99% you'll meet a turtle there! I'm posting a picture done with my camera because no kidding here and no fake review. Unfortunately corals are not much alive around, so if you're looking for diving or snorkeling you may need to have a daily trip in other better places, but I can assure there are enough nice fishes to see, including some clownfish (remember Finding Nemo...). The room was clean, cleaned twice a day (almost during breakfast, lunch or dinner to not disturb). In my room I had a Nespresso coffee machine with free refill and also water. Overwater villas may look silly in the pictures, but I can tell they are very nice and the wood makes you feel more close to nature. Who wants all the concrete in a natural paradise?!? All the staff is friendly, smiling and helpful. Food is good enough and with different options every day, if you stay 2 weeks it may look repetitive but after all you're not there just to eat, right?

GreeceNothing.
The resort is an ecofriendly example. The nature is so well reserved which is difficult to find nowadays at Maldives. It feels like nothing is manmade. The facilities and the rooms are super comfortable and without hilarious overluxury. The place is not packed with tourists. There is always some space to feel the nature and on your own. The breakfast and the food was so nice and tasty with a lot of choices. The excursions are well organized and the guys very helpful and dedicated. The staff was always there to assist and they seem to be happy to work there. We hope we come back the soonest.

PortugalAh, the Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu has a rather peculiar "issue": time there insists on flying by! Just when you start settling into that paradisiacal setting, it seems the days decide to speed up, as if conspiring to make you wish to stay longer and longer. It must be some kind of Maldivian magic that makes hours feel like minutes! 😉
The Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu is truly a slice of paradise in the Maldives. From the moment you arrive, the excellence of service is undeniable. The staff is always attentive, welcoming, and highly professional, ensuring that all guest needs are met impeccably. Cleanliness is another standout, with every space maintained in pristine condition. In terms of space, the resort exudes a sense of expansiveness and serenity, perfectly integrated with the surrounding natural beauty. But what truly sets Coco Palm apart is the genuine care for details and for its guests, providing an unforgettable experience for all who have the privilege of visiting. It's undoubtedly a gem among luxury resorts! **A Special Acknowledgment to Three Stars of Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu: Jegan, with his impeccable welcoming and meticulous attention to every detail; Arif, who upkeeps the villa with an elegance and care rarely seen, always watchful of everything; and Sandhya, whose warm embrace upon our reunion reflects her unwavering tenderness, care, and dedication. They embody the soul and heart of this exceptional resort.

United Arab EmiratesWe travelled at July third week and sea was not really clean, not too calm and windy. They mention that the best time will be between Decembers to April to feel the best experience of India Ocean.
Excellent resorts, excellent service. I recommend for families, couples or who loves the nature. We stayed at the Lagoon Villa for four nights with all inclusive, service was amazing, as a complementary they gave sunset cruise tour, diving and massage. Housekeeping cleaning is fabulous, they will clean your room two time per day. They provide both European and Asian cuisine at the main dinning cowrie restaurant with many live station and food are really delicious. All the staffs are polite, friendly and very helpful, especially hostess (Nepal lady from cowrie restaurant), Abul (Bangladesh waiter from sunset bar) and also all the waiters. Our stay was pleasant, for sure in the future we will return again.

SwitzerlandHonestly, nothing to really say here. I have travelled a lot of the world and this place was a highlight and at this price point - it should be on your bucket list as well.
The resort is stunning, yes its old - but its been very well maintained. If you love nature and want something authentic, this is the place for you. The resort is in the midst of a mini jungle, the service is amazing and the food is great. My wife and I are both vegetarians (no fish or eggs either) and the kitchen staff did everything to fully accommodate us for every meal. Our room was incredible, we had a beautiful water villa – it was spacious, super clean and had everything we needed for our 5 day stay.
