Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomLocation has its positives and negatives. If you are after a secluded maldivian experience probably not the right island. But if you stay in a sunrise villa or sunset villa, the views are lovely
The management of the property is outstanding, the manager is capable and has a huge positive mindset.

United KingdomThere was nothing we disliked!
We got back from Como Cocoa Island a week ago and we had the most wonderful relaxing stay (even with a 7 month old baby). We turned up at the resort and from the word go we were made to feel very special. We landed at Male airport and were met by the Como Cocoa representative at arrivals where it was a short walk across a road to the boat. Here we got ice cold towels and a bottle of cold water which was just what was needed after a 9.5 hour flight. After 40 minutes we arrived at the resort where Wisam and his team greeted us on the jetty with coconut water and a tour around the island to get to our room. The island is small but absolute perfection. All the staff provide 12 out of 10 customer service, they really do care about the guest experience - a big thank you inparticular to Fanny, Sulthan, Anura, Nattey and of couse Wisam who ensured we had everything we needed 24/7. Our accommodation was out of this world, clean, modern yet with Maldivian touches. We based ourselves on our private terrace most days to enjoy the view whilst our baby boy could nap in the shade or in his baby travel cot which was provided by Como Cocoa Island. The food every single day was incredible- delicious and beautifully presented but not forgetting to mention the weaning menu they also provided for our little boy who was well and truly spoiled and looked after. We would also highly recommend enjoying the dishes on the themed night dinners too. Even though we didn't snorkel much just seeing the fish, sharks, rays and turtles from the jetty was incredible. We also enjoyed a massage at the spa each which we both said was one of the best massages we have had and the inside pool area is also beautiful. Overall, it was an unforgettable first family holiday with our baby boy and we hope to be back very soon! Thank you to the team at Como Cocoa Island!

EgyptA boutique heaven 40 mins away from Male by speedboat. Everything was perfect! This is not an over the top resort. If you like private and discreet luxury, then this hotel is for you. The island is small with a bustling marine life perfect for snorkeling. The food is delicious and is a well curated menu catering to all. This was our 5th trip to the Maldives and first time at COMO Cocoa Island. We will definitely be back!

Czech RepublicNothing I can remember.
First worth to mention, is reef, hotel is surrounded by the reef and has enormous amount of fish, paradasi for snorkeling. Every day we saw reef sharks like 10 times per day. Second, this hotel is a combination of style and nature, pure beauty. Service is another thing to mention, very personalised. You feel like everything is for you. And beavo to the Chef, kitchen is delisious! It's our third time on Maldives and I can definitely say, it's the best experience.

United KingdomThe bar prices are very high - expect a nightly bill in excess of £250 without overdoing it and despite transfers being advertised as included - these cost an extra £650 which was disappointing in view of the base cost.
Fantastic location with an excellent house reef. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. A very quiet, intimate and private resort - almost a desert island experience if you wanted to be on your own. The food was superb, the usual concerns about 'meal plan' simply didn't exist - it was a high class a la carte offering with very good theme nights. The room was spacious, comfortable and well designed. Every room in the resort is an over water unit with direct sea/reef access. Overall a fantastic experience and we will be back

The staff were amazing - without exception - the key members all knew our names and made us feel very welcome. The quality of the food was exceptional - great choice with new dishes every night. The island is stunningly beautiful and reserved only for guests. Great gym and spa treatments. Can’t wait to visit again.

United KingdomThis is difficult - I think the key for us would be to say it’s an island in the Maldives you are going for rest, views of the sea and sea sports. there is only one restaurant and bar but the menu offers some changes almost daily and special additional cost special dinners.
Amazing boutique island, small but not overcrowded with clean white sands, multi blue coloured seas,, three local house reefs for snorkelling, excellent spa facilities, good food and friendly welcoming staff. The island whilst small has enough space for guests to disappear in their overwater villas, excursions, gym or yoga, spa, hydrotherapy, around the small pool, or on the beach. it never felt crowded, always felt special and all the staff went out their way to say hello and ask about our day, even the manager was a regular at dinner talking to guests. it is often rare to find a resort that actually looks like it’s pictures but Como Cocoa Island delivered. An excellent rest and recuperation break in the Maldives.

AustraliaWe had a wonderful stay at COMO Cocoa Island and very much endorse all the 10/10 recommendations. While the experience was luxurious in every aspect, above all the resort excels with exceptional standards of service, at all times welcoming, warm and personal, with consistently high standards of professionalism. The villas, location, food, activities will not disappoint! A perfect resort for couples.

United KingdomHonestly, nothing. Everything was great.
Incredible hotel. Everything was absolutely perfect: food, service, amenities. The island is very special for Maldives - very small, private and secluded, you feel like you are the only guests here most of the time. The food is top notch, the quality of ever meal was exceptional, some of the tastiest dishes we tried in our life. Staff is super friendly, helpful and nice. Highly recommend this place!
