Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesStaff is great except this one yoga instructor. She was very rude, and ruined my night. She needs to understand that some of the people who joined the yoga sessions have previous injuries, and can’t do certain yoga pose. When I couldn’t do the pose, she asked me to leave the session if I can’t follow her instructions. Yoga supposed to be welcoming people of all ages, body types, abilities, and backgrounds, and it's designed to be adaptable to individual needs. She needs to understand the most important element of yoga practice.
We got the water front villa #528, and it was located in the perfect location. Very close to the adult only restaurant as well as the smaller reception. The snorkeling in front of our villa was good. Meeru is a very good budget friendly resort compared to the other resort. I highly recommended this place. We asked for a late check out, and they let us stay at our villa until the speedboat departure. Location 5 Food 5 Drink 5 Staff 5 Water front villa 5 Free yoga session -10

United KingdomSome rooms might feel a little basic (compared to Maldives standards) and some beach villas are a little separated from the beach with plants/trees. It’s dependent on which part of the island you are placed at. We didn’t like feeling a bit separated from the beach but we were generally facing the sunset direction, so didn’t want to compromise on it and didn’t ask for a change.
Excellent place. Beaches are phenomenal. Amazing facilities. Very diverse set of offerings of buffet/a la carte restaurants, pools and bars, as well as activities. Buffet Food is super tasty and there’s always a good quality and quantity. You can also order special baby food at every meal which is a super handy thing if you are travelling with a small baby like we did. Staff are super nice and friendly. They the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and were super friendly & warm to our baby too. Super convenient to reach from Male (~45min speedboat). We were amazed how good value for money it provides. Some places in the Maldives charge a fortune for very similar stuff, but after a thorough research and staying there, we thought Meeru offers one of the best value for money options in the Maldives. Definitely recommended!

IndiaSome unfortunate interactions left us with a bit of a bad taste. In one instance, we noticed that dress code for the Furivalhu restaurant was not enforced uniformly. In another, a rude and badly trained staff at the same restaurant (Ismail) questioned us on our choice of table at the buffet in an absolutely disrespectful manner. They need to train such staff to be more courteous and to manage the guests better at the restaurant. We couldn't help but feel a hint of racism due to the above two instances as it seemed to be directed towards us, the only Indians at that place at that time. However, there were many staff members who were really nice to us such as Sharif, Hassan, and Pavi. Additionally, there was a bit of a smell in the washroom & jacuzzi area (open area, not indoors) in our over the water villa. I think this was not originating from the villa itself but the pipes.
We had a pretty great experience overall! Loved the following: 1. Welcome - The speedboat ride, the grand welcome by the staff, and the cool tea provided 2. The villa - We chose an over the water villa (10/10 would recommend) 3. Food & drinks - Take the all-inclusive package and you can enjoy unlimited drinks and food at multiple places (there are many restaurants around the island). 4. Water and sea life - Loved the clear blue water on the white sand beaches. One can spot many types of fishes, including baby sharks around the beaches (just be cautious to not touch them). 5. Dolphin spotting and sunset cruise - Must try!! 6. Scuba and snorkeling - Lovely experience! Although we did not snorkel, we heard that it is also worth doing.

United KingdomThe all inclusive package should include at least some juices tho :) We had to pay for coconut juice. Also Water villas unfortunately a bit noisy at night because of the wind in the ocean.
All food was amazing, beach and the views are also great. Open buffet style breakfast, lunch and diner are available. Island overall was not crowded so it's good for relaxing.

GermanyDespite the season was regarded to be good, the weather has been quite terrible, as we got heavy rain, water floods strong wind for three days in a row out of seven! At this point the only way has been for us to play cards inside the facilities. We had a good time anyhow enjoining the many great bars and restaurants
The wonderful sea, a snorkeling and diving paradise, the beautiful location, the excellent food, and the great excursions offer. The beaches where alsmost empty despite fully book period, and it often felt like you are alone on a private island

GreeceIt felt like All Inclusive could offer a couple more free or discounted experiences on the island. These are quite pricey. Maybe some more items on the bar/snack menu could be included as well... Overall it was great and we would 100% return!
A truly exceptional resort! From the facilities to service, to amenities, food, location...everything exceeded our expectations. The staff was amazing and everyone was happy to go above and beyond to offer anything to the guest. From the moment we landed since the time we were dropped at the airport for departure, the staff was there to guide us, answer all our questions, and take care of any kind of need and special requests. These people are excellent professionals and deserve recognition for their efforts! Special shoutout to Dilhara on the north buffet, he was such a good dude. The overwater jacuzzi villa was perfect for us, spacious, comfortable, clean, and extremely well-equipped. The attention to detail was on point. I loved the semi-open shower so much. The sea decks too! Now for the island...the word paradise is an understatement!! The environment there was far beyond anything that we could ever imagine. The crystal clear waters, white sand, lush vegetation, coconut trees...DREAM!! Resort facilities were also amazing. Pools, Gym, Outdoor sports, game rooms...oh, and the SPA: This experience was by far the best in our lives. We booked a mix of Balinese, Thai & a 3rd style that I cannot remember and it was out of this world. 60 minutes of pure relaxation and enjoyment. The ladies at Duniye Overwater Spa were exceptional! 10/10 experience do not miss out on this one. If you're looking to unwind and relax in the Maldivian Paradise while friendly and happy people are there for you anytime, book your stay in Meeru!

RomaniaThe only thing we were a little disappointed with were the desserts. They weren't quite to our liking. But overall, the vacation was wonderful, and we highly recommend this resort.r
This was our first time in the Maldives, and we were very impressed by the beauty of the place. The resort offered many interesting activities that helped us explore the islands and enjoy the scenery. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome ( shout out to Ali from Malaan Restaurant, he is so funny, friendly and kind). The food was varied and delicious, and the all-inclusive package was very good value. The Christmas celebrations were special, with a festive dinner on 24th and a visit from Santa Claus on 25th, who arrived on the island by boat. It was a pleasant surprise!

SingaporeEverything was perfect.
Everything was exceptional. Our room was prepared every evening for 'wind down', the staff were all very friendly. Meals at the buffet restaurant and ala carte restaurants were beyond expectations. The all-inclusive package was very worth it, although there's only so much we could eat! I love the quietness and exclusivity of the 700+ over-water villas, and we witnessed the most gorgeous sunsets and sunrise at the resort. I'm so glad I chose the Meeru resort for my first-trip to Maldives!
