We rented the presidential villa and it was spectacular, we didnt want to leave the room. We got assigned one person, Ippu, to take care of our needs and she was very attentive helping our mobilization and arrangements. No complaints.

From the first day of arrival, everything went perfectly. Should give a big thanks to our host, Yusuf, Mahmud, housekeeping guy, and all restaurant guys. Also, we are grateful to all the staff of the Kidz club. All the staff are gems of Sun Siyam. Just ask around to explore the most. Love you guys. A big love from the kids, too.

The room was clean. Loved the bed it was massive and comfortable, the shower was at a good temperature. Aircon was our friend so good. Staff were really friendly, helpful and always happy to help. Yousif was always on the other end of the phone day or night. Luckily we didn't need too much. Poor guy wouldn't sleep otherwise. Bikash our cleaner, always did a fantastic job keeping our room tidy and I absolutely loved the art he put on the bed. So very talented. Very friendly guy aswell. Happy to help whenever we needed it. AK, Hemant, Dilawar were great waiters, friendly and kept the water coming. They even were told to send food to our table and they did with a smile. Satya is the best chef I've come across. Never made me feel like I was a burden. As I am gluten free and a fussy eater he always found me food I could eat or even offered making me food. Just brilliant and the food was excellent. He even got the pastry chef to make or let me know what's gluten free. The pancakes and muffins were amazing. Felt a bit uneasy on the path up to the villa, some planks felt loose. bathroom got extremely hot when the doors were closed

The beach is amazing, the room is new and very nice just steps from the new pool and the beach. Nice place for relax and great for the kids with lots of pools and activities. Food is good also with lots of fruits options.

Our Maldives experience was wonderful! We had a grand water villa with a beautiful terrace, with corals and fishes at 10m going down to the sea from the terrace. The views were magnificent. The hotel spreads on 3 islands (we were on the second one, Dream - very good) with different pools, bars and activity areas, some reserved only to adults which was definitely a plus for when we wanted some peaceful and romantic time. There are plenty of restaurants that you can try (our favorite was the thai place). You need to book in advance but as we were half board and exploring restaurants for lunch and not for diner, we always found a spot while booking the day before through the app. The massage we got was amazing. Food and service at the buffet are of great quality. Water is free and available in all bars and restaurants, which we appreciated a lot (no water bottles floating around). The last island is is only for adults and is like another branch: you need a different app and you can't participate to the sport activities organized there. However, the sport activities organized by Kristina on the main island and dream were great to stay in shape during the holidays. There is an electric bus doing the back and forth between islands (take it from the start or it can be full). The snorkeling experience around the hotel and in the excursions (3 points snorkeling for us) was amazing: colorful fishes, sharks, turtles, rays, etc. The room is very large, comfortable and clean with a formidable room boy called Noor who was always smiling, attentive and preparing some decorations in the room. He was discreet and coming twice a day to the room when convenient for us. To note that when arriving at the airport, you are waiting for the boat in the food court where there are not always space to seat as all hotels use the same approach: after a long trip, this is not the favorite part but we only waited 30 to 45 min to get a boat.

I like how all the staff are friendly. They ensure their occupants do not feel bored while waiting for check-in. They are accommodating to children, engaging with them and entertaining them.

2 areas with room for improvement - 1) During breakfast, we sometimes had to flag someone to order a tea/coffee - it would be good if this is offered by default to all tables. 2) We had to checkout at 5am due to an early flight and had to walk up to the bus stop with half asleep kids to get the shuttle to reach the reception - it would be good for the resort to offer a pick-up from the room during early hours.

As a family with 2 young children (5yr and 8yr) this was our second visit to this resort - we will surely be returning again. We travel frequently to beach resorts in Europe and Dubai - and I can confidently say this resort is up there among the best in terms of value for money in the £500-600 per night bracket (inc. half-board for a family of 4). It is a large resort with different types of accommodation to suit your budget - this review is based on our experience of the Grand Beach Suite (with pool) on the Dream island. Location: The resort is appx 45min boat ride away from the Velana airport - and their team was there to collect us at the airport (there is an extra charge for this transfer for adults - but kids go free). The resort consists of 3 islands connected to each other via bridges - with a frequent shuttle service to ferry guests from one end to the other. The grounds and beaches are maintained to an excellent standard...all very clean and green..full credit to the maintenance team. Accommodation: Last year we had stayed in a Grand Water Villa on the Dream island which we thought was excellent - this year we wanted to try one of the newly built Grand Beach Suites with private pools. The suites are at par or even better than some 5 star properties we've visited before. Well done to the management for the well thought out design and luxurious bathrooms. The suite, with its 2 rooms, was large enough for our family - with a large patio area with a pool and directly leading to the beach. Room was well stocked and we had daily visits from Santosh and his team who did an excellent job in keeping it clean and stocked up. Food and restaurants: We were booked on a half-board basis and chose to eat at the Malaafaiy buffet restaurant due to close proximity to our room - but there are numerous other restaurants to eat. Staff: All staff are very well mannered and work hard to provide a good experience. Overall great experience and we will return again!

One can see the wear (at least in our) villa so they should consider renovating them to keep the resort attractive.

Sun Siyam Olhuveli is a really nice resort. The service is probably the best part of it. We really enjoyed the adult-only zones.

Our experience at Sun Syam Olhuveli exceeded our expectations. The highlights of our stay included the location, just 45 minutes from Male Airport, the delicious quality of the food, the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, the excellent facilities, and the stunning views from the hotel. However, there are a couple of areas where the hotel could improve the guest experience. For instance, the management of boat trips from the airport could be more efficient, as our friends had to wait almost two hours for their boat to be arranged. Additionally, the restaurants do not have air conditioning, which can be quite uncomfortable during the hot season. I understand the challenges of maintaining such infrastructure in the middle of the ocean. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would recommend the hotel.

While some staff was very helpful and quick, the main person who introduced himself as the main person of contact if we need anything was unreliable and answering after few hours if at all. Which was very confusing.

This property scattered around 3 islands that connect with bridges, which is nice since give you chance to explore and have beautiful walks. First we stayed at the main island (and I do not recommend it at all - water villa we stay was outdated with poor AC), but once we moved to the Romance island (TUI BLUE) the restaurant, bars and villa were way better. That was really nice and that is what I would recommend. Stay only at the Romance Island and book Romantic villas.

We could see many tropical fish such as a stingray and a seaturtle in our water cotage. There is a guest relation staff, Joseph who speak Japanese fluently so that we can feel at ease even firt time to Moldive. Buffet restaurants are superb and didn't get bored us durjng our stay because almost all the menues are different every day and tastes are so good.

The price for the speedboat transfer feels excessive.

Sun Siyam offered us an unforgettable experience. The entire resort feels like something out of a fairy tale. The Water Villa provided us with all the comfort we needed. The restaurant offers a diverse cuisine, and the food is absolutely delicious. We especially appreciated the resort's policy regarding free accommodation and restaurant, for children under 14 years old.

Amazing resort. The room is exquisite. I just encountered some problems with the instructions given regarding the transfer to and from the hotel where we were forced to arrange one for ourselves. Also, our luggage was delivered to the wrong room. Luckily, they were returned to us by the lovely couple who found them. Lastly, the food variety were mid. Lunch and dinner buffet were disappointing.

I had the best experience here with my family with stunning beaches and fun activities .We did scuba diving near the notel and saw turtles and sharks with the help of Victoria, who was wonderful at teaching the basics and very kind too. We also saw whale sharks with Adam and Myles, who were very friendly. An additional thank you to Barack, who guided the dive very professionally. We would like to thank everyone, especially Yousif, our host who welcomed us. I definitely recommend this hotel as there's many activities to do such as snorkelling and the staff members are lovely.
