SwitzerlandResort life isn't for everyone and if you're looking to try something new everyday, you might be better of choosing an island with different restaurants and beaches. There is a boat going to a nearby island with different restaurant choices, but during our stay transport wasn't always available because of the weather conditions. The staff is helpful but also cold, with the exception of a moroccan staff member (can't remember the name).
We stayed in the ocean overwater villa and the unit was amazing! You can tell that the resort is of newer date, everything was spotless and the modern and clean yet trendy aesthetic really relaxes your mind. The breakfast buffet is full of delicious choices, there really is something for everyone. The floating breakfast was also really cool! We got to use the gym: you can keep up with your workouts with new equipment and a beautiful ocean view.

I would like to mention here Maria she was our host, Nalin is the head of bar and made special amazing cocktails for us, also Ashraf , Maya and Luna, they were serving us during breakfast and dinner, and dont forget about Sia who was responsible fir the great music. Dining experience is over 5 star. Location is perfect only 10 mins by speedboat from airport Male ( we had transfer, guy was waiting for us managed the packages we did not have to do anything at all also reverse to the airport they support us with checking in and whole procedure. Thank you for everything, we hade great time, we're gonna go back definitely !! 😍😘🤗

Czech RepublicWe had absolutely incredible experience at SO/ Maldives! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at home with their warm hospitality and attention to detail. The hotel itself is brand new and shiny and beautifully designed, with a modern aesthetic that feels both luxurious and welcoming. Our villa was exceptionally spacious, with plenty of natural light and every amenity we could need for a comfortable stay. Kids capsule is just what our kids need! The beach views were stunning, and we loved relaxing in such a thoughtfully curated space. Kids club staff was super nice and our boys wanted to stay all day if possible. Restaurants serves really delicious food. Chefs are keen to help with special requirements. Staff is professional and kind devoted to makecevery wish come through. Our butler Ahsan went beyond and above to make us happy. Resident manager was aleays around talking to guests which wascreally nice touch. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a blend of comfort, style, and top-notch service in the Maldives!

United Arab Emirates1.No room service after 12 as usual there is late menu in every hotel i don’t know where i will find a bread for my daughter in an island 2.7 am they knocked on door asking when i will leave i and it wasn’t my check out day 3.from 11 until 6 no one cleaned my room i put clean room button on ! 4.last day they cleaned my room but my minibar was not refilled my daughter asked for cola because mini bar wasn’t refilled the guy on front desk answered: call back at 11 pm :) 5.someone entered my room i came with cigarettes smell 6.they were nice on welcome but no one bothered to say how was your stay on check out only they took my signature on the room bell and left !

United Arab Emirates1. You’ll wait for any ride for 30-40 mins. So you’ll use a bike unless it’s a rain. Then you’ll wait 30-40 mins each way. At morning you’ll call guest service for 15-20 mins 2. Nothing is free at this resort, not even cola in mini bar. Third time on Maldives and first time we paid for everything everywhere 3. 2 previous hotels were much better for less money. We wanted an upgrade and got downgrade 4. Don’t count on early check in if your flight is at morning, you’ll wait for exactly 15:00 as it is on booking. No drinks will be offered. Well, they don’t have to, but aren’t we looking for service?

United Kingdom- Staff are not welcoming hardly anyone is smiling or is attentive across the 4 days I stayed at the property. Majority of the staff have a “ I can’t be bothered attitude” The staff barely say hello when you pass them in the common areas. - I was there for my birthday not one staff member told me happy birthday. I mentioned it to a staff member not even a cake or anything was offered. They did not seem bothered at all. - Food choices are limited you only have 2 real restaurants on the property and a bar that serves food listed as the “3rd restaurant” - Food Choice available for the price is not worth it 5/10 for taste - The sea / beach at the main beach area is not easy to enter it is filled with rocks was not pleasant to walk on and is empty for most of the day - No serving staff on the beach. You have to go back to the bar to order anything. After paying so much you would expect a bit more. - Hotel is built on a man made island so you have less fish and natural elements of the sea missing. It felt like a Dubai palm site.

United Arab EmiratesI was incredibly excited for my stay at So/ Maldives, expecting luxury and relaxation. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but. To start, we were delayed at the airport for nearly two hours after arrival, which is not the warm welcome one expects after a long flight. There was zero communication from the staff, and the lack of organization left us frustrated and exhausted. The atmosphere at the resort felt off. It was clear that staff morale was low, which directly impacted the guest experience. Most of the staff seemed disinterested, and their lack of engagement made the service feel cold and impersonal. Food and beverage options were another major letdown. The quality ranged from mediocre to terrible—definitely not what you would expect from a supposedly high-end resort. Even the simple dishes lacked flavor and presentation. We found ourselves dreading mealtimes instead of looking forward to them. What made the experience even worse was how the resort seemed more interested in catering to influencers on paid trips than actual paying guests. It was clear that we weren’t their priority, as they seemed focused on collecting glowing reviews from influencers rather than delivering quality service to everyone. Service overall was a disaster, with slow response times, mix-ups, and a general lack of attentiveness. Adding to the disappointment, I was lied to during my stay. When I asked to speak to the Resort Manager, I was told he was on leave in Italy, only to see him casually having breakfast at the resort later on. This level of dishonesty was simply unacceptable. AustraliaProperty Build was newly built, but had the bathroom roof cave in at 4am while we were staying. Manager said he will be in touch to compensate as we were very chilled guests however has not done so. As the island ground is reclaimed land, it’s quite hard especially on the bare feet, as below the sand is concrete
