IndiaReally good guest house in Maafushi managed by extremely kind and professional hosts. Mr. Shafeeq helped us everything from booking round trip transfers from Male airport to Maafushi, picked us and dropped us at the port ensuring no additional stress for us, helped us book excursions. The guesthouse was close to the main tourist point of the island i.e. the bikini beach (around 5 mins walking) and other important shopping streets, ATM, supermarkets etc.

United KingdomHad agreed to pay via card for activities organised by the host, but was not given the chance to do so, and then had to withdraw cash in MVR, and then was charged an extortionate USD MVR conversion rate, the host blamed this on the service providers but it could have been avoided if I was able to pay directly by card in USD as originally agreed with him. He also charged me the same exchange rate himself for the extra night I stayed.

AustraliaThe downstairs room has no external window or ventilation. It is a tight room for a couple, and quite claustrophobic. I think the experience would have been different with an upstairs room.
The property is well located for a local island experience. The hosts are fantastic. They provide great support, ensuring that you always feel safe, and that all your booking needs are taken care of. They would walk us to the booking office, and meet us at the wharf when we arrived. Exceptional service and friendly supportive culture.
