Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

RomaniaNegative comments? Honestly, I looked for flaws - even under the bed - found none. If perfection had a guesthouse, it would be this one.
Kaashidhoo Island is one of those rare places that quietly steals your heart. Nestled in the Maldives, this small local island offers a unique blend of untouched natural beauty and authentic island life. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped into a peaceful sanctuary surrounded by vivid greenery and warm-hearted people. The island itself is a lush paradise. Coconut palms sway above winding sandy paths, while banana trees, papayas, and all kinds of tropical plants grow abundantly everywhere you look. It truly feels like a living, breathing jungle — not curated or tamed, but vibrant and real. The natural beauty of Kaashidhoo is something we will never forget. But what truly made our stay remarkable was the people. The locals of Kaashidhoo were incredibly kind and respectful, always greeting us with a smile and a friendly "hello." We felt genuinely welcomed, not as tourists passing through, but as guests in a community that still values connection. They offered us help without hesitation, including free rides to and from the beach whenever we needed — simple gestures that made a big difference in how at home we felt. Our accommodation was perfectly located just a few steps from the jetty, which made arrival and departure incredibly convenient. The hosts had already arranged our speedboat transfer from Malé for $35 per person (about 1.5 hours), and they met us at the jetty with a buggy to take us and our bags to the hotel. That small ride set the tone for the rest of our stay: thoughtful, kind, and welcoming. The room was bright, clean, and thoughtfully decorated — a warm and comfortable space that exceeded expectations. We especially appreciated the smart TV and strong, reliable Wi-Fi, which worked flawlessly during our entire stay. There was even good 5G mobile coverage on the island, making Kaashidhoo not just a serene escape, but a hidden gem for digital nomads as well.

RomaniaKaashidhoo island is amazing! It is full of trees: coconut, banana, papaya and many more. Is a real jungle on this beautiful island and we liked that! People are nice and friendly, they are very polite, saying "hi" every time and we felt like respected guests on their island. Bikini beach is nice, well-maintained and the water is amazing, we felt that we are in the real Maldives even on a local agricultural island! As we travel only with our backpacks, a big plus was that we had access to the washing machine! They booked speedboat tickets for us ($35 pp and travel time approx. 1.5 hrs) and waited us at the jetty with a buggy and drove us to the hotel, which is nearby. The room was nicely decorated for us and we felt like in a fancy resort! We also received coconut welcome drinks and fruits and we were offered an island tour! They delivered us lunch and cold drinks to the bikini beach, even on the rainy days! The room is clean and they also provided us free beach towels! Every evening, we took dinner on their restaurant and the food is varied and good with some international dishes, like pizza, burgers and pasta! There are a lot of shops nearby where you can find literally everything! On request, they cleaned the room during our stay! The restaurant staff was nice and polite every time, with a plus for our delivery guy, who was very friendly and smiling even when he delivered food to the beach during a tropical rain! We appreciate that for our last dinner on this island, they waited us at the restaurant with a nicely decorated table with natural flowers and the chef cooked for us a local traditional fish. Overall, the price quality ratio is really good!

PolandWe had the pleasure of staying at Sun View Residence on the island of Kaashidoo in the Maldives, and we are extremely satisfied with our entire stay! The owner was incredibly hospitable- not only did he ensure our comfort, but he also fook us on a tour around the island, showing us the key spots and explaining everything we needed to know. Thanks to this, we felt genuinely cared for and were able to fully experience the local atmosphere. We consider our entire stay to be very successful. This is a place we can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and unique accommodation in the Maldives.

NorwayThe meny in the restaurant. I do not eat wheat ( gluten) Very much « vestern fast food», and almost no vegetarian food. Little seafood exept tuna. So, for me and some others food was a frustration, becourse it is no other real options to. But many shops that sell Oat etc you can make yourself.
Everything. It is a very nice place and quiet. Outside tourist places on a lokal island. The hosts and people are very helpful and friendly🙂

Czech RepublicUnfortunately due to weather, there were limited trips for dolphins, manta, sharks etc. The visitors have to calculate with weather for trips and also for depatures from the island.
My feelings regarding accommodation, very nice, maybe I should prefer more soft pillows. The room was clean and standard for continental customers with good wifi connection. Regarding hotel, also location nice included restaurant nad very familier personal. Regarding meal I prefered more seafoods, but noodels and hamburgers with pizza was also excellent. The best benefit were rent of bikes and hotel beaach, Bikini Beach, where was only a few sunbed, better would be more and very shelow sea, where were only possible lie or snorchling when was high tide. Generally we were very satisfied s hospitality of the owner of SunView residence.

RomaniaThank you for your wonderful welcome and your smile, who makes me and my wife to feel the kindness and the spirit of my home in Maldives 28 days !!! Definitely we will come back! Thanks - Merry Christmas 🎄 🎄 🎄 I love the gorgeous views from the terrace restaurant with the wonderful colours of the water from Kaashidhoo in the morning and at the lunch meal ! The warm hospitality shown by the hosts of this guesthouse is impressive. You can experience with them and the rest of the islanders daily activities such as fishing, snorkeling , dolphins view, farming or preparing meals with local products. The interaction with the inhabitants and the authentic landscape offers not only a break from the urban routine but also a deep connection with a culture based on harmony with nature and ancient traditions. The entire island manages to balance tourist development with the preservation of cultural identity, creating an unforgettable experience. You can rent from the location kayaks, snorkeling equipment, bicycle's, all with very good prices ! If You wish to have Beach therapy and Good vibes, I recommend to do like me: I followed my heart, and it led me to the beach in every morning from 7.00 to 9.30 at bikini beach for tourists - Sunset beach. We are impressed by the perseverance with which SunView Residence takes care that every morning from 6.00 -7.00 the tourist beach is well-kept and clean, the facilities and investments they make by creating shady spaces, swings, benches and places specially designed to be able to have organized Maldivian meals at the tourist beach. You can establish access to the beach with Mauroof and the team, whether you schedule walks or rent bikes, although walking to the beach helps you stay in the best shape especially if it is early in the morning or afternoon. The landscape of the entire island is amazing !

United KingdomThis by far exceeded any expectation. I was given helpful information before my arrival including facilities available and local ferry times days and cost. When I arrived I was unexpectedly greeted in a buggey and taken to the hotel. Then offered refreshments and available options of excursions. My dietary requirements were taken into consideration for the complimentary breakfast which was a generous portion. I was given a free tour of the island and information about local culture and customs. The owner goes out of his way to accommodate you and tries to give you the best possible experience. You can tell he has poured his heart and soul into creating an unforgettable experience for all visitors and works tirelessly to maintain a beautiful space at the bikini beach, with complimentary pick up and drop offs. He is really passionate and knowledgeable about the wildlife and nature. Thanks to his local knowledge I got to see turtles, dolphins, tortoise, flying fish, tropical fish, coral reefs, fruit bat's amongst others. The island is a tranquil paradise and has all modern amenities available including WiFi, and a range of food and grocery options. At the hotel you're able to rent bikes and snorkeling equipment. I was blown away by the hospitality, generosity, enthusiasm and passion. I would wholeheartedly recommend for solo travellers to families and couples. It feels very safe and peaceful. Thank you so much for an experience of a lifetime. I really appreciate everything and thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

RomaniaI recommend to visit this wonderful location. The ocean water is as you've seen through the ads, as you'd expect from the Maldives, absolutely gorgeous. Very good food, all the dishes I tasted were tasty and the price is very good for what you receive. A big plus are the fruits (you must try the local fruits produced here, you will get them for breakfast). The staff is always attentive and smiling, ready to satisfy your wishes, to make you feel good. Special thanks to the restaurant, reception staff and tour operators at this hotel and especially the owner of this complex for always being in touch with information about everything there is to do on the island. Everyone did a good job. Given the fact that the hotel is located in Kaashidoo, the greenery scenery can be noted as a plus, the coconut trees some having impressive heights, their experience speaks for itself in making you feel very good as a tourist. The hotel has arranged the private beach for tourists very nicely, which competes with the beach of the best resorts in terms of appearance and maintenance. You can reach the beach on foot, by bicycle from the hotel, by electric golf cart with appointment. The moment you arrive on the island at the hotel you are greeted like a 5* resort with welcome drinks, coconut and sandwich club with fries it was for us and they appreciate you for choosing their location. They give you a free tour of the island where they introduce you to interesting things in a 6-person electric golf car. The price of the activities is very good and you can choose according to your preferences. We chose a few to do: Night fishing, Snorkeling, swimming with sharks, romantic beach dinner. There are other activities available as Dolphin cruise, BBQ, half day picnic island trip, canoe, photoshoot and many others. The included breakfast is tasty: Continental or Local choose. Includes Water, coffee, tea, juice.

Italy•I didn't expect her not to eat lots, many of fruit •I didn't understand why I had to pay 35$ for speed boat transport to the boss when actually everyone pays 25$ and I also talked to other tourists from another hotel •the hotel is far from the bikini beach, •the island is dirty; all, and not because tourists throw garbage, but because the locals are still not educated to clean! sin •please protect yourself with spf all the time and don't stay without a hat on your head, I had sunstroke, burned myself, swelled up; for the first time in my life •the people is friendly and safe •don’t came in Maldives Friday because is close everything and have to stay to Male city
•I find the room is new, clean and the bathroom functional •I appreciated that they took into account when I told them to change my breakfast •I appreciated the fact that when we went to the dolphins and didn't see them, the owner offered us a second time to go to see them •I eat good and interesting food: barbecue sauce and fish, Maldivian eat •bikini beach is clean but small •I posted everything on my profile instagram and TikTok: foto and video about this island

ItalyI really don't want to write anything negative because we had such a wonderful time so I'm writing this hoping that it will be taken as a suggestion for improvement. The one area which could be improved (greatly) is housekeeping. Basically, it's non existent. I would expect rooms to be cleaned and beds made on a daily basis, or at least every other day. I don't need clean towels every day but new towels after three days would be nice. We were told we could ask for the room to be cleaned. We did so but it never happened. Re towels; in the end I found the linen cupboard and helped myself. So Mauroof, if you read this: we love your hotel, and we love you but please employ a full-time cleaner to clean every day. No-one would mind you putting a few extra dollars on the room cost: it's SO reasonable and it would be so worthwhile you doing this. Your hotel really deserves to be full all the time and I will recommend it to all my friends but I'd really rather not have to say "the only disappointment is the lack of house keeping."
The Sunview Residence is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed in; and as a musician I've travelled the world and stayed in, literally, thousands of hotels. Kaashidhoo is a lovely island, full of interest. If you like to experience real local environments rather than fake resorts, this is the place for you. The hotel has an excellent restaurant: probably the best on the island, though it would be nice if the menu featured more local dishes. The rooms are large and comfortable, with nice bathrooms. Mauroof is an excellent and kind host. He met us from the boat, making us instantly welcome and all guests receive a welcome drink and sandwiches. We were given a free tour of the island, which was really enjoyable. He organised snorkeling, a dolphin watching boat trip, fishing, kayaking, and a day trip to Gaafaru for us. He also booked the ferry from Malé, which made life so easy. Most importantly, when I managed to get an ear infection he didn't hesitate to take me to the local health centre, getting me registered and seen by the doctor immediately. He also sorted out getting the necessary drugs for me from the pharmacy. Really impressive.

United StatesMohamed is a great host. Very helpful, informative, and accommodating. He was always available. Activities were nicely organized as well, and since it is a small island, there are no lines. Local people were very kind, so please be respectful of customs. Please know this is a very quiet island, so perfect for a getaway, no rowdy tourists. Bikini beach is kept pristine, local one not so much (but this is not propertie's fault, just something to consider)

EstoniaAll hotel personnel were friendly. The hotel itself is very clean and offers great value for the price. The owner of the hotel is always available to address any concerns you may have. If you require laundry service or room cleaning, simply ask, and it will be taken care of promptly. The hotel provides kayaks, bicycles, and snorkeling gear, but I recommend pre-booking if you need them for specific days. Additionally, the hotel features its own restaurant offering simple, affordable, and delicious food. During my uncle's birthday, Mohamed organized a beautiful evening at the bikini beach. Should you require anything or encounter any issues, rest assured that the hotel owner will promptly resolve them.
