Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Drainage were a bit smelly but nothing horrible.
We stayed just one night after our arrival to Cancun which was all good for us to recover after flight. Place is clean and beds are comfortable. Shop are close by.

There was no top sheet, only a bottom sheet and a blanket. The bathroom window didn’t close at all and the room was right on a very noisy boulevard. We didn’t get the wifi code.
The room was clean and it was cheap

We had to call the staff a few times, once to fix the non existent water flow in the shower and once as the door lock was not working and we could not get into the room. No screens on the windows made it hard to keep them open to dry clothes. The wifi wasn't the greatest on the third floor.
Nice little room with everything you'd expect from a hotel room, including a desk. I liked the featured materials and clean style of the room. Two windows were great for cross ventilation and light. It was easy to get around as it's located pretty close to the downtown core and bus station.

It is on an 8-lane high road which is just too noisy and not a great sight to walk out onto at the start of everyday. We had an outdoor aircon machine directly outside our window which was too noisy in the night.
Really beautifully decorated and the staff were as helpful as they could be. They allowed a slightly later check in and we’re always smiling. Bathrooms and showers were nice and clean too

A lot of sound from ongoing works closeby. The toilet and showers are outside, but clean. WIFI did not work

The noise coming from the traffic on our room was outrageous, maybe because we were the first room in front of the street. We would’ve appreciated a heads up about the noise, and also a couple of water bottles for the room would’ve been well received.
Location was excellent and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Lupita was great, thanks.

The location is a bit not convenient for public transport usage so it is best for travelers with own transportation, ready to use Uber, or happy with 15~20 min walks to bus stops. A tip to hosts: as the location is quite out of the tourist areas, it would be nice to have a simple neighborhood map that shows location of nearest convenience stores, money exchange, supermarket, bus stops for buses to popular areas, beaches, your recommended restaurant or bars. It would be nice to have a cover for the bed blanket as it is a bit rough on the skin if someone has a sensitive skin. Small fridge/ kettle and tea bags in room or in common area would be a plus A mirror in the room would be a really nice to have.
A pleasant guesthouse with a lovely host. Lupita was very nice and helpful. Even though we had a language barrier Google translate helped us communicate well. She was prompt to respond to any queries I had and tried to be as helpful as she could. I liked the decor and the ambiance of the place, really nicely done, especially the leaving room with a big screen playing lofi music was nice and relaxing. Guest Room big and specious was also a plus.

The wi-fi had a tendency to cut in and out. The pool area is around the back of the building and isn't somewhere where you would spend the day. We also had issues with the toilet leaking and lack of hot water in the bathroom. My travel companion found the bed to be a little hard but I had no complaints.
A good location just outside of the hotel zone and good location to the bus stop etc. The room was large and secure and clean. Great price and the staff were very nice.

There was a guy bulding on the third floor up until 10pm when we asked him to stop as it was crazy noisy! Wifi was bad on the second floor. Kettle would be nice and to have someone to be there on the reception.
The room was spacious and clean. The facilities were really nice.

There is a lot of mosquito. WiFi need to fix for quality cause frustrating with us.
