Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThere was only one outlet in the room, the other was in the bathroom. The blanket didn't feel very clean.
The Location was great. Everything in the old center was walking distance. The people at the hostel were helpful.

United KingdomI booked for four nights but only stayed one night. the room was cold and clammy and had no natural light as the windows looked over other walls of the building. the toilet didn’t work and I was told it would be fixed in the morning, no one came. only allowed one towel. only allowed 10 minutes of hot water per day, in the morning. when I complained I was told that the property is a hostal not a hotel, I have stayed in hostels before and they were never like this. after 11pm the front door was locked and the railings outside it were chained and padlocked so that I had to knock to be let in, what worried me most about that was if there was a fire how we could get out
nothing

United StatesThe list of rules, noise, and the most uncomfortable bed I ever slept in. I felt I was being monitored by the “morality police”. No visitors. No alcohol. No smoking… Hotel staff asked your name and to show your room key upon entering (though the front door is locked at all times and you needed the key to enter). Some of it I can understand, but a friend of mine and I are riding motorcycles to Argentina and were meeting a couple others doing the same. we asked for permission if we could meet on the rooftop and the said NO - registered guests only. I found that to be a bit asinine. And it was not just one staff person. worst bed ever and bring earplugs. You here all the street noise and barking dogs all night long.
The property is very well maintained, clean, and in a great location. Great rooftop terrace and parking garage.

United KingdomThe downsides for us were that the bed was smaller than a standard double, and had a plastic under-sheet – I presume for hygiene – which unfortunately meant that it was noisy if you moved at all. Also the drains in the bathroom smelt quite bad (although we worked around this by keeping the door to the en-suite shut). For the price we paid these things were probably to be expected – it’s definitely amongst the cheapest of the accommodation options in that area.
The location is amazing, it’s a really short walk to the Zócalo / downtown / markets etc. The staff are super helpful and kindly let us leave luggage there after we checked out. Having free coffee and water permanently available was really lovely. The room itself was large and very quiet at night, and felt very secure.

United KingdomNot a hostel. No common areas. No guests allowed even if you have a room that sleeps 4. And if you want to smoke past 10pm you have to stand in between the door and the gate like a prison

PhilippinesYou get with what you pay for. Good location but the pictures posted are very different from the actual room. Also some of my dollars got missing while I was staying in this hotel as there was no safe to put the valuables.

United StatesWHAT'S FRAUDULENT: The hotel description lists family rooms, a TV lounge, restaurant, snack bar, beach umbrellas, board games, DVDs, puzzles, outdoor picnic area, concierge, tour desk, and English-speaking staff. They have NONE of these things. When I questioned the front desk staff about this and showed them the booking.com listing, they appeared surprised and said they didn't know why the description said that. The info about having a restaurant and snack bar has subsequently been removed (perhaps in response to my complaint), but the other amenities are still listed even though they do not exist. The largest room is only 97 sq ft with 2 beds, hardly a "family room." The other three rooms are 75 sq ft and 86 sq ft. IMO none of these are "spacious" or "huge" even though a few reviewers have described them as such. Moreover, the rooms do not have a fan or air conditioning, even though it was 93 degrees outside (34C). There is also a plastic mattress cover on the bed, which makes the room even hotter and more uncomfortable. The entrance, lobby, and hallways of the hotel are dimly lit and uninviting. The room is dimly lit as well, with only a small ceiling light, no bedside lamps. No TV either. Showers are on a 10-minute timer, so plan accordingly. This hotel is simply a place to lay your head, nothing more. I had booked 4 nights, but immediately canceled 3 of them once I saw the hotel. If I hadn't been so exhausted from traveling all day, I wouldn't have stayed there at all. As it was, I checked out at 7:30 AM the next morning, never to return. This place is a dump.
Much of the description of this hotel is FRAUDULENT. WHAT'S TRUE: The hotel is located close to the Zocalo. The rooftop terrace is lovely, although seating is limited -- only one lounge chair and 3 stools. They offer free bottled water, coffee, and cookies (cookies were awful)). WiFi is good. They have free parking.

United KingdomThe room was too hot to sleep in, at least a fan could be provided The room was depressing, nothing on the wall just holes, no lamp shade and bad white light, no bath mat so bathroom always dirty. The "window" had no mosquito net so we got bitten a lot in the night That you had to always ask for the water to be filled up. Would be better if more water was left out.
Beautiful terrace and staff friendly and helpful
