Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsI booked a private room, which I really recommend since it will give you a clean and spacious enough place to relax and unload your luggage. I loved that there was a balcony/ terrace right outside of my room on the 3rd floor. They have a little sport facility if you like to work out. It’s such a good hostal especially for the price.

SwedenThis hostel is really big and beautiful. I didn't expect it from the reviews and photos that don't do justice. It's 3 floors, it's massive, has plenty of space and common areas, a beautiful terrace with many tables and even sunbeds, a small place to workout (a bicycle+ some weights), big kitchen, free coffee , water and cookies. I booked the single room which was ridiculously cheap for being private (shared bathroom). It was clean and basic, had no real window which felt a big overwhelming, I would describe it as "spartan" as I read in another review. Had a small desk, chair, 2 lockers and the bed, literally nothing else 😅 However, I think there is nothing to complain given the price to have a private space. The toilets and showers were clean. Warm water stops between 00.00-06.00. A lot of chairs if you have any problems with that. The staff was helpful and helped me with my airport transport, also printed out a document for free. The only problem with this hostel is that it seriously lacks atmosphere, it's so massive that people cannot meet and it's such a pity because it has such a big potential. Hopefully it becomes more social lively with time, maybe organise some activities?

United KingdomAmazing location and super spacious building. The dorm was a huge room with only 4 single beds, no bunk beds. It had a nice terrace on top. The kitchen is not great but the place is really excellent value for money, 5 minutes from the centre of the city

United StatesThe Wifi was spotty and unreliable on some floors and in some rooms. Having a room on the top floor required to walk up more than 50 stairs each time.
The hostel was just 2 blocks from the mercado central which is a big food, grocery, fruit, meat and many other things indoor market. One can find many things in the market, including hot meals and clothing. The hostel was just a 10 minute walk from the zocalo, the central plaza of Oaxaca. The hostel was also in 10-20 minute walking distance to different bus stations. The hostel had many bathrooms and bathroom doors could be locked and then it was like having a private bathroom. Free water and coffee was available throughout the day. The reception was manned 24X7. The mattresses were in decent shape. The kitchen was relatively clean and organized.

GreeceThe noise... This hostel is just on a crossroad of busy streets and even on second floor it was impossible to sleep without ear plugs. Windows don't have absolutely any insulation and for that all noise enters the rooms.
The location, is just one block from the cental park Zócalo. Spacious hostel with terrace and kitchen to prepare meal if you want. There was free bottled water almost on any floor. Every morning cleaning ladies were cleaning the place. Staff is friendly but don't speak any English.

United StatesNot the patio floor to cold 🥶
It’s my 3 years that I booked my stay in Andaina. But this time I was on the 3 rd floor and it was too cold for me. I enjoyed more the past years when I was located on 1st/2nd floor. I hope next time of my stay to enjoy on that floor. It’s quiet and love that.

GermanyYou hear everything, everywhere. One person closing the door at night, everone is awake. One person coughing, everyone is awake. People who are not tired enough or young enough will not get sleep
Central location near zocalo and big market. Very nice rooftop, higher then any other in oaxca. Big and spacious terasses and public spaces. Everything clean and tidy. good beds too. We slept well.

South KoreaIt gets very loud at night because of the noises of the car outside. You would need earplugs. Internet was not that good in rooms. If we go to the corridor we can have some good connections.
The location was near the center of the city. The place was very clean. Very spacious and good price. 4 people dormitory without bunk beds are unbelievable! I would definitely recommend this place.

United KingdomMaybe ask not to be on the first floor as people can look directly in your window from the courtyards. However there are large curtains so it’s not a huge problem.

CanadaThe double rooms could use a larger table, some hooks, or a simple shelf, and maybe a light fixture to diffuse the LED light. The kitchen needs forks, they currently only have knives and spoons (?). There is a kitchen supply store right next door. :)
We always stay here in Oaxaca. As always it was very clean and safe and central for our needs. Staff are super friendly and coffee/water available all day long. The rooftop terrace is very lovely.

United KingdomSo noisy. The windows are very thin so you always hear the traffic outside. Would be good to have some comfy seating in some communal areas.
Really close to everything you need. 5 minute walk to Zocalo. Good views from the roof terrace. No bunk beds, so that was nice.

United StatesWifi drops pretty often. Hot water turns to a trickle at times. Only given one sheet and a very thin blanket for sleeping. I asked for a second blanket and it was provided but it really wasn't as clean as it should have been but I did stay warm when sleeping. 45 degrees F at night. Didn't use the kitchen, most long termers seemed to have taken control of the fridge. Also limited to no knives, forks, or spoons.
Good location. Great staff. Mostly quite. The single room i was in had no street noise. Always had coffee and drinking water provided and most times cookies too. Very clean.
