Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWifi was good when it worked. However the day I thought I was going to work remotely and do some calls, it did not work.
Such a cool place to stay! Never stayed in a bubble before and it was so cool and fun. And the place was so clean and comfortable for being essentially a bubble room. The bathroom was surprisingly a real bathroom! Loved this place!

Netherlandsthe only reason I am giving this a 9 and not a 10 is because of a surprise fee of 415 pesos each per day to enter the park. This was not mentioned before booking online, only received this information in a message after we booked and were not able to cancel anymore. we stayed one night, and this was an additional 50% of the cost that we did not expect
Amazing experience!! the sky bubble is super comfortable and it s a unique location and set up! we had enough privacy and enjoyed the facilities!! we were also able to check in an hour early and enjoy the beach club

United StatesIn comparison to selina/mia, the food was way better taste-wise... and I felt i got more value here. Considering this is mexico, it was shocking to pay the same thing for meals and more for taxi than in ohio where I live. All in all, the say was nice but not for the budget traveler.....
I liked how private everything was. I was looking for a quiet vacation that was beautiful and I got exactly that here! I loved that there were snacks for 35 pesos and beer for 50 pesos in the fridge... the beach club was available till 6pm. For dinner i walked a little. Unlike the hotel Zone, even though it was on the beach, the opposite roads here are tarred so it is not super Dusty like the hotel zone...It is just dark at night. The nice thing is that the hotel actually provides a flashlight in case you decide to take a walk. In the room, there was a telescope to look at the stars which is awesome. It was wonderful all in all, I would say it was exactly what I was looking for. I can comfortably say that I had so much more peace of mind here than in the Hotel zone. I was not hassled about the minimum spend at the beach clubs and very interestingly because I felt more free, i found myself spending more and enjoying it more! The minimum spend at the hotel zone is $75 so it's a commitment for a solo traveler! , the service was better here than on the hotel zone side as well in my experience. I really enjoyed my stay!

I had an amazing stay at this hotel in Tulum! Armando was incredibly helpful—he went above and beyond to assist us with renting a car, arranging transportation from the airport, and giving great recommendations for local food spots. The rest of the staff were equally polite and welcoming. The location is unbeatable—right by a beautiful, clean beach that’s perfect for long, peaceful walks. It wasn’t crowded at all, which made it even more enjoyable. The rooms are really unique, almost like sleeping in a capsule. Lying down and looking up at the sky through the design was such a special experience. Overall, everything was perfect, and I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Tulum!

United StatesI think it’s not far from perfect but needs a few things - the AC due to the rain was dripping water on our heads and pillows so I had to wipe it off in the middle of the night. The bubble lacks some very basic amenities which make a difference: no water kettle or coffee maker, no hair dryer and lamps kept losing battery so we had to charge them continuously in the front room - but one lamp wouldn’t even last us a night. Finally, some comments said it but there is barely any hot water - if you want to catch some, I recommend showering between 4-6 pm.
As described, it’s quite an experience being in a bubble. You wake up with birds and sunlight and it’s something we had never felt before. Even the rain of the two first nights was interesting as it felt you were literally sleeping under the rain. The bubble is functional, clean and very close to the most beautiful beach in Tulum. Their restaurant was good and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

SwitzerlandWe absolutely loved our stay at the Astral Tulum hotel. The hotel room was unique and wonderful with its transparent roof, allowing us to gaze at the stars from the comfort of our bed. The location is fantastic, just a minute away from the ocean, and the beach was pleasantly uncrowded. The staff was incredibly supportive throughout our stay. Armando, in particular, was a gem, offering us invaluable tips on exploring the area and suggesting great tours. When we encountered an issue with our rental car, he went above and beyond, providing helpful advice and ensuring the problem was quickly resolved. One small suggestion would be to have an opportunity to enjoy a morning coffee in the room or somewhere on the hotel grounds, which would add an extra touch of convenience. We wholeheartedly recommend staying here for an unforgettable experience.

Germany- I don't know if it was because we were there off-season (december), but the restaurant of the hotel was only open during noon time to serve drinks. Thats why you couldn't get breakfast, lunch or dinner there. For breakfast there was only one reastaurant at the beach front (breakfast was delicoius the, btw), for dinner two restaurants (1x thai, 1x japanese) - the reception and the beach chairs were available from 12 am til 7 pm. - only a small thing, but the bubble rooms are made of inflatable rubber, so that they're not as transparent as it looks on the pictures. That means that you could see the night sky and the stars as clear as you would expect. - be aware that the toilet that is in your bubble has no door or curtain.
- Amazing location in the national park and right at the beach. The breathtaking beach front feels like paradise. - Very cozy and peaceful little hotel ground. You feel like on a lonely island (in a good way). - Also very friendly and reliable staff who were ready to help with any questions and needs. They were also always available via whatapp to help with any issues before our arrival. Great service. - great located to visit the tulum ruins. 25 min by feet through the beautiful national park, or 10-15 minutes by bike, which you can lend at the hotel for 200 pesos per 24 hours.

United StatesEverything was beautiful. They waited for us since we arrived late. Great experience. And yes water for shower was cold even if you wait a few minutes to let it run. But its perfect for the weather we didn't even bother to let them fix it. Coz it's just so good to take a cold shower for the weather.

GermanyThe hotel is located within a national park. You need to pay a small fee to enter and there are controls at the entrance with some queue at pick hours.
Sleeping seeing the stars and waking up surrounded by trees and the blue sky is a unique experience. The capsules are very comfortable and beside being transparent you have total privacy. The stuff is very nice and helpful. The beach access and facilities make the stay a pleasure.

SlovakiaAlmost no warm water, but it was not a problem for us, as we needed freshen up after travel and warm days outside. Otherwise we liked everything.
What an experience this was! To be completely honest - before our arrival I contemplated a bit our decision to stay in a sky bubble as we did not know the area and how safe this choice is. However after arrival, I immediately felt comfortable and safe. Each bubble has its small backyard which is surrounded by fence, so no one else can see you. Sleeping in a bubble was so special - we saw stars in the night and woke up to the sound of waves and a blue sky - watching the trees and birds before we started the day. To our pleasant surprise in the morning, after we walked for just a minute from our bubble, we were immediately on the beach where we had a walk, breakfast and a quick morning swim. Personnel was very helpful - always available on Whatsapp and during the day also around the bubble. They helped us to rent a bike at the reception and we biked to the Tulum ruins and city - doesn't take long at all. We had a great stay! (Remember - no plastic water bottles are allowed in the national park.)

United StatesI really liked the facility. However, the air conditioner was located right over the bed which I'm not really a fan. Also, I love to have coffee when I wake up and especially watching the sun rise. However, coffee was not available until 8:30 a.m. at the restaurant. The only other thing, the water in the shower no matter how long you run it, it was never hot barely luke warm.
Great location on the beach. Near many other hotels and resorts for food and drinks. Loved the dome room facility. Great to be with nature. Staff was amazing! Couldn't ask for nicer or more helpful.

GermanyYou need to pay for entrance fee to natural park even if you are hotel customer. You can't pay online and usually 30mins. Waiting time at the park entrance. Warm water at the room is problematic, comes 10-15 mins. later. It isn't enviroment friendly as you waste 15mins. Cold water :( The next door hotel has extra noisy Electric Generator which works 24/7 and it annoys Astral Hotel customers.
Astral Tulum located in the hearth of Nature (in the Natural Park - it means you need to pay to step in the nature park even if your are hotel customer). The idea "becoming close to the nature" is brilliant. Hotel employees are super helpful and friendly. Foods are freshly made and served. Overall entitiy is clean and well maintained and directly on the Ocean and you have direct access to beach. Beach club is free to use for hotel customers and it is one of the best in the beach!

RomaniaThere was hot water but very little, however the staff helped us fix it. For staying 5 nights this can be a little inconvenience but the experience overall was definetely worth it.
The place is amazing. The tent is very comfortable and during the night you can see the stars, the trees in the wind and hear the sound of the waves. The staff was very nice and friendly, always there to help. The beach bar is great and it is a great experience to walk from the tent to the beach instantly.
