We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWas very disappointed in the food. The breakfast buffets were good compared to the dinner, but still not great. They had no snack options, so if you eat an early breakfast, lay by the pool for a while, bring your own snacks. The breakfast buffets were open until 11 or so, but you cannot bring food out of there. They also require masks and shirt, shorts and shoes in the restaurants. So if you get hungry while on the beach or pool you're kinda SOL. The drinks were okay. You also have to make reservations at the Mexican, Seafood and Italian restaurants. They start at 9am but we got to the lobby bar (where they do the reservations) by 8:30 and were the first in line. If you don't get to eat at any restaurants, you're really not missing much.
Resort was very clean and staff was friendly. They had activities throughout the day for everyone, karaoke night was pretty fun to watch. Although if you're looking for a more romantic getaway, this resort is very family oriented.

United StatesBuffet food was just awful. If you didn't get to the front desk between 9-10AM to make a reservation for dinner, you were stuck with buffet, and honestly you should just go out to eat at that point. The drinks are unlimited, but they're as cheap as can be with them - e.g. they only carry Modelo, and instead of giving you a can, every time they pour it into a plastic cup, sometimes using leftovers from other cans. Drinking everything out of cheap plastic gets old. Generally, some members of the staff were very nice, but some would be confrontational when you would make outrageous requests like asking for bottled water instead of tap🙄.
The beach is pretty nice, and being able to walk out of your hotel onto a private beach is nice. Pool is awesome. Drinks are unlimited. Breakfast and lunch worked decently, usually there was an a la carte option which tasted pretty good. There was somewhat of a party vibe if you're looking for it, but also plenty of families there which didn't seem out of place. Rooms are decently sized, clean, and comfortable, with some good views of the water.

United KingdomDrinks included in the all inclusive option are not good. Beers are never cold, drinks are made with artificial flavours and cheapest beverages, not the best qualities. It's a noisy hotel with music being played all the time, since 8am til 10pm, everywhere: swimming pool, beach, lounge, restaurants. You cannot find a calm place to relax without those annoying musics, but this seems to be the region's moto. The hotel is right next door the ferries leaving and returning from Isla Mujeres so if you are on the beach, you will hear the boats and their whistle - besides the terrible diesel smell - all the time. We were in 3 adults and the double rooms include 2 double beds. I had to share one with my sister and it's kind of small, not comfortable at all, would be better to have single beds options.
Staff very friendly, it's a beautiful hotel besides of not being so new. Food is not great, but is ok when you find a calm spot to have your meals. First day we had ours in the Albatroz restaurant, which is noisy and always full, but then we found out we could also have breakfast and lunch at Claraboya's, which has a more calm and relaxing environment. The Italian option for dinner is really good, the best food, but it needs to be reserved in the same morning. Great swimming pool and nice attractions to the guests, games, shows at night.

United StatesI did not like how everything was on a strict time schedule! Like to get dinner reservations it must be made all at one time with the guest in a line going to get their names on the list! So clearly i never made the formal dinner! I did not like how in the room i could always hear the door slamming! I couldn’t hear ppl n their rooms but that door was loud! We developed ants and that was unsettling! There are limited activities here and no real rainy day schedule! Party was over at 12 when the hotel next to us partied until 2am! No drinks until 12 was underlying cuz i like a mimosa with breakfast! But these are fairly minor complaints to the overall stay! Overall the stay was great yet these are a few adjustments I’d like to see happen! I would stay here again
I loved the lay of the land! It wasn’t hard to navigate! Common areas are very welcoming and entertaining! I loved how helpful the staff was!! Anything i needed was pretty much available! Food options were plentiful and Available at almost any hour (that i went anyway!) checking n and check out was smooth! Covid testing on site!! U can have your own party and not be interrupted!

United StatesThe thing we liked LEAST was the food. Not only was the buffet food bland and served in rotation but that was really the only option even though the resort has 4 restaurants. The other 3 restaurants (1 Mexican, 1 Italian, & 1 seafood) REQUIRE a reservation EVERY morning. The line starts at 7AM and by 8AM all reservations are taken; I don’t even understand what that means. I’m assuming the resort limits how many people can eat at these other restaurants per night to control how much of the “good” food is available vs how much of the “not so good” food that seems to be in abundance. Aside from the food, you have to wear a bracelet that states your resort. If you lose the bracelet, you have to pay $150 each time. The bracelet is annoying and gives you an unnecessary tan line but it also tells locals where you are staying. We had several men approach us while we were at markets telling us that they know where we are staying and that they would stop by to see us; safety concern. The entertainment was limited. The resort is on the quiet side.
Cleanliness, beautiful grounds, and attentive staff stand out most as superior! All-inclusive also includes a stocked fridge in your room daily.

United StatesI left within 30min of arriving and booked a different location. Not at all what was advertised. Restaurants are off limits, unless you book at 7am!!! Nowhere on the websites (booking or official) does it say that. The buffet was also closed at 4:45pm when I arrived. During the checkout process, I selected a room with an ocean view. What I got was a view of an alley and the side of a building. The staff was rude and dismissive. They wanted me to wear a plastic bracelet like you'd get at a carnival for the entirety of my trip, telling me that there would be a fee if I lost or broke it. When I left, they refused to refund me. I put in a dispute with my credit card.

Trinidad and TobagoThere were a lot of students on spring break. Therefore, finding vacant beach chairs was impossible as people put their towels to block the chairs from very early in the morning. Another thing I did not like was that we were tricked into their so-called presentation, which was actually a time sharing scheme. We felt very uncomfortable.
The food was great, we got value for our money. The rooms were cleaned daily, and the refrigerator fully stocked.

United StatesThe resort's beach is quite small and located next to a harbor, which was disappointing from the start. The food and drinks failed to meet expectations, with the drinks being particularly subpar. I’ve never encountered such bad drinks on vacation before, and it was truly a letdown. Initially, the room I received did not match what I had booked. I specifically requested a room with a balcony and one bed that offered a nice view. Instead, I was assigned a room with a view of the beach and harbor, featuring two separate beds and a tiny bathroom. Thankfully, the resort did change my room to one with a king-size bed and a reasonably sized bathroom, but I was dissatisfied that the balcony was minuscule compared to the previous room. Moreover, the A/C was not functioning, and although I was told the Wi-Fi in my building was the best on the resort, it was off for the first two days of my stay. As compensation, the resort offered a so-called "free excursion" that included sightseeing, tequila tasting, and shopping. However, on the day of the excursion, I discovered that none of the promised activities were taking place. Instead, I was subjected to a lengthy sales pitch for their timeshare program, which was not what I signed up for. I was told I would receive a gift at the end of the presentation, but there was no gift—just a free ride back to my resort. Overall, my experience was disappointing, and I will not return to this resort.

United StatesThe front desk was very unorganized and not attentive to our concerns of having no AC or fan in our room. From day one, we personally walked to the desk to report our fan not working because the phones in our room didn't work. We asked for another room for this reason and because it was so incredibly loud we didn't get any sleep. We were told they only had double beds.Since we were celebrating my husband's birthday, we decided to wait until the next morning to see if a king bed was available. Assuming they would have everything fixed by then. In total, we reported no working fan and AC not working 2x a day during our 4 day trip. Nothing was ever done. Our last night was so hot we had to open the terrace door for air. Our room smelled very musty, and every tile in the bathroom had primer smeared on it from their attempt at concealing mold. Everything I went into the bathroom i would cough profusely. Our room had a great pool view, but it was literally right above the nighly entertainment area and bar, so we heard everything. The 2nd night, the show was held on our floor, literally 10 ft from our room. It was awful. We didn't get any rest between the hot musty smell of our room and all the commotion and music outside of it. All of our concerns went unnoticed from front desk staff. Axel, whom my husband and I both made aware of the issues face to face, offered no apology or resolution until an hour before we checked out. We travel a lot and love all-inclusive resorts, but this will not be one of them ever again. Also, there was no room service menu and we weren't even allowed to take plates out of the lounge to take to our rooms. We couldn't walk out of anywhere with food! Never in my life have I been stopped at the door with a burger for my husband. * If you have this view from your terrace, ask for a new room immediately!
The restaurant and bar staff were amazing! They took great care of us, and we took great care of them to show our appreciation. They were the only good part of our stay.

United StatesThe rooms were hot & very musty, sewage smelling. The hotel was small & very unorganized, nothing expained about room service & phones to call down were broken. You are only allowed to eat in designated areas and can not take any food out of areas if you are hungry later, or want to snack by pool or beach.
The staff at the bars & restaurants were friendly, and had good customer service.
