Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe beds showed signs of aging. It's about time to change them. There were 3 of us and one had to sleep on the sofa bed. We had a better mattress replaced after we talked to the front desk agents.
The swimming pools were amazing! So much space and we could use the swimming pools of the neighbor properties. The food was satisfying and we had a good variety. I only wish we had a grain/nuts option to add more nutritional value in my meals. The best beach for me is in front of the Tropical property, even though some rocks were there, there was a clearing where the most pristine and beautiful turquoise water was appealing to me. We took some photos and it shows the real Mexican Caribbean colors. The night shows were fun to watch just one added activity that made our stay memorable. The dancers were just amazing! The singers were so fantástic, they truly gave it all and deserved every ovation night after night. The themed restaurant were ok to be honest, the staff were super welcoming, with the exception of the Italian restaurant, the waiter always walked away whenever I had a question, he was just rude. Maybe he should have a talk, and I'm talking about the Italian restaurant next to the Japanese restaurant which we decided not to go and just enjoy the dinner buffet instead. No regrets there since they had 3-4 of fishes and grilled meats. The pork chops were amazing! So .. I guess it was way better than the Japanese option. We loved the iguanas around the property and all the green areas. If you wake up early enough you can hear them singing. There's a bus that runs every 15 minutes from property to property, it was a fun ride since it reminds me of the 2 floor buses from London. I took my mother for her 81 birthday and she was super happy to be there. Everyone was so welcoming and polite, we also talked to the employees since we also speak Spanish and they were happy to explain just about anything we asked. Truly grateful for the hospitality.

United StatesMore to do in the evenings. The weddings and private parties were the only action.
Buffets were amazing but they definitely varied in quality throughout the resort complex.

United StatesLots of walking to buffet and restaurants for me but rest of family okay with walking. The food was just typical for all inclusive resort nothing outstanding. Premium level at Tropical did not allow us drinks at Playa adult only facility.
Lots to do. Property was beautiful and clean. Staff were friendly and very responsive to any need. The bus to travel between facilities was very helpful.

CanadaThe rooms had high humidity, which made the bedding wet and unpleasant to sleep on. The floor also accumulated wetness and dew as a result of the humidity level.
The breakfast was good and variety of to choose from. The resort has a great amount of attractions that family can enjoy without leaving the resort. Generally, it was a good experience for me and my family.

CanadaThere honestly wasn't much I can complain about besides the fact that our reservation said we got a balcony and two beds but our family suite did not have a balcony nor did it have two beds. We had 1 big bed and them 3 couches that folded into beds in the other room. Kids still slept fine in them though.
The resort was absolutely stunning, lots for the kids to do. Lots of options for kid friendly meals. Everyone was super nice.

United StatesI hated the humidity in the rooms, I spent the most uncomfortable nights trying to sleep on a wet bed plus the clothes took a weird humid smell.
I loved the place!! A lot things to do,(the gym is big, a lot of pools, a mall, dolphins, a big game place) the night shows at the theaters were a high level shows, the beach is gorgeous. We had got the premium level which I personally consider is not worth to pay extra because I didn’t find any difference unless you are gonna drink a lot.

United Stateswalls are thin and you can hear people in the rooms next door, We were in a Suite and could hear everything below us and next door.
Breakfast buffet was always a hit it was standard American food with other international options, made to order omelets, fresh squeezed juice and the timing was just right open early enough to grab and go and then start our day at the beach. If you want to dinner at any of the restaurants be sure to set your reservations when you first check in because they fill up pretty quick especially if you have a large group. We had dinner at the Italian and Seafood restudy during our stay and food was good. I felt like 5 days wasn't enough time to explore the whole compound it was so big with so much to do, very family friendly there is a bus that picks ups and drops off at each Barcelo Hotel and it was a double decker which ran about every 10-15 mins until 1 or 2AM daily. lots of activities for teens, there is a teen club, a 24hr sports bar with food (buffet), bowling, a haunted house, go karts, a "mall", water park, can swim with dolphins, some activities aren't included but the fee's weren't bad we did go carts. I was pleasantly pleased with everything during our 5 day 4 night stay.

United StatesThe facilities were a bit worn and needed some Minor upgrading/maintenance. We wished there was a snack bar near the pool/beach. We also didn't like how they overcharged for necessities. My daughter had an ear infection and needed children's Tylenol. $23 for a bottle! It was a crime. Sunscreen was $50 usd. Thankfully we didn't need to buy any but that made us very angry and left a distaste
The beach was beautiful, facilities were very clean, food was amazing. We also loved how close the beach and pool were to eachother. The staff was phenomenal.

United KingdomThe food was good quality but not at the level expected, and the buffet was too busy, without enough service and with a slow turnover of tables. The meseros were great but overwhelmed. The juices were not great, and food could have been more exciting and diverse.
The facilities, beach, and people were excellent. We had a problem with a super noisy neighbour, and they solved it quickly and professionally. The rooms were clean and service-friendly. excellent hotel.

United StatesOutside restaurants should be informal. Go back to a grill and pasta bar. No need for all the other foods. Get rid of the men having to wear long pants to the specialty restaurants. It’s a beach, nice dress shorts should be allowed.

United StatesI don't like that if you use your credit card to book an excursion and if THEY cancel it they tell you that it's a 3rd part service and it will take at least 30 days or more to get your money. Now, I have to wait to get my $200. I love tipping, it didn't matter how much I gave the cleaning service you are limited to 2 wash cloths and your room will not be cleaned.
This place is huge with lots of daily activities to keep you busy and ALL the bartenders are nice

United KingdomThe rooms (Tropical) were very tired and we had to ask for a number of repairs during the stay (all fixed quickly, but still). Plus the walls, the towels, the linen - all were very tired. The second challenge is humidity - the aircon did not manage to dry the air, and it made all our things smell bed.
Very helpful staff, very goof food, good selection of activities, plenty of space, well prepared for Premium guests.

RussiaStuff in the front desk -during the payment the lady told us our cards were invalid, husband started ringing to the bank, but the bank told us cards did work, so after 30 (!) minutes the front desk charged from the same card correctly..not a really wonderful experience to wait with two small kids. Beds are just awful, as soft as my grandma's sofa..and the conditioner needs to be cleaned. High humidity in the room. My son came 5 minutes later from the beginning of the activity in the kids club, several girls were already drawing, he also asked to join, but the lady told him it was too late, all the rules about this activity have already been announced... seriously?..
Pools, beach, stuff during meal time and bars, food, very beautiful nature.
