I really enjoyed my stay here...the hostel has a really nice atmosphere and it was very inclusive and sociable. The volunteers/staff we really helpful and a lot of fun. I miss them already.

Well, definately it's not the cleanest... especially the fridge and the showers are quite disgusting...The way they serve breakfast is super chaotic and is so basic you end up going to the nice cafe next door anyway. There was one very nice guy who checked me in, the rest of the staff, I think it was some girls from Spain who were voulunteering- extremly loud and annoying

Very good location, it has this backpacking vibe that I'm not a fan of but if you like it, this i your place to stay. The bed had curtains (for me its essential) and it was comfortable. The patio is nice and has hammacks. Additional bathroms downstairs sometimes save life. In general for this price it was ok, but I think the other hostel nearby with free yoga classes would be better

I never leave bad reviews but in this case, I have two. First I arrived to the hostel that is fully ran by volunteers, which normally is fine, but they were more focused on chatting with each other rather than attending the guests or cleaning the space. The hostel is quite dirty. They allocated to me a room with some really young people that had the room as a complete mess with all their stuff laying on the floor, the beds, everywhere…the smell was terrible and there was a couple making up in one of the beds so I just refused to stay there and they provided another room where I was alone (that was nice!).The room was not even clean (the bedsheet had stains) and the shower was missing the head but at that point I was happy I did not have to share the other room. The biggest issue came the second night. At 1am I was awaken by a guy that entered my room calling my name, it was one of the volunteers, telling me that in the next room one guest was fully on drugs/drunk and was screaming like an animal, keeping the full hostel awake. They decided to relocate another person to my room but did nothing to solve the situation with the screaming guy leaving us sleepless for a few hours.

The door in our bathroom didn’t lock or stay shut and as it was a mixed dorm this was a bit precarious when in the toilet or shower. We also felt that the dorm could do with being cleaned a bit more regularly or leaving a broom in the room for us to sweep the sand out every day. It also would be good if we could have controlled the aircon ourselves rather than it being set for us during certain nighttime hours

Staff were excellent - really friendly, very welcoming and very happy to help. They also kept a good stock of ice which was great as it was so hot. The location was also really good - very close to the beach and to restaurants, bars, shops etc. The little cubby holes by the bed and the usb ports were really useful!

First, the hostel charges 5% more if you want to pay for the accommodation by card. Why don't they write in the description? That was just plain cheating, IMO. I have been traveling in Mexico for the past 2,5 weeks and the other hostels offer discounts if one pays by cash. Here they charge 5% extra if one pays by card. Ridiculous and cheating! Secondly, the facilities in the room were EXTREMELY basic in parts, and poor in others. The showerhead was missing, there was a massive cockroach in one of the cupboards! So all in all, I would not recommend anyone to go there. Also to repeat, it is not the fault of the staff but the ownership.

The staff were friendly. The location was also good. Breakfast was a nice touch.

Breakfast nice.beds comfy. Room temperature good. Staff very helpful. Good location, near to sops and beach, and 13 minute walk to ferry terminal. Kitchen ok, but I didn’t use. Good range of cafes and restaurants . Showers ok.

The shower in the private room had no shower head!? It was like a tap ? So I didn’t use it as was only there one night. The air con leaked in the night /morning and left a big cold puddle in the room. The kitchen looked like a camp kitchen, a bit old and rusty and didn’t seem very clean. This is not so much the property itself and not really their fault but I really disliked the vibe of this place. I’ve stayed in a heck of a lot of hostels and always start chatting to people so I’m able to pick up a vibe of a place fast and the crowd of travellers and I just got a weird vibe, it seemed super cliquey , including the volunteers /staff. Glad I only booked one night.

The bed in the private room was suuuuper comfortable (although if you like hard beds maybe not for you) central close to beach and quiet enough at night to sleep (could only hear very faint music from the street parties)

Our private room wasn’t that clean and the facilities weren’t great. The fridge didn’t keep things cold and the kitchen was exposed so the bins had a lot of flies. I woke up with bites on my legs as well.

Tours offered by the hostel are overpriced. If you look elsewhere, you can find better deals. Pillow was extremely uncomfortable and they only turn on the AC between certain periods, which means the room can get quite stuffy. Also, there was a dog in the room...

The staff was friendly and helpful when it came to making recommendations. The room was ok, it had curtains for privacy, the bed was comfortable and the water pressure and temperature was good. There was a communal place outside to meet other travelers and to watch the World Cup matches. Great location very close to the beach and within walking distance to the ferry terminal.

The bed was really uncomfortable, it felt like I'm sleeping in a hole, and I've got a single be in a dorm without curtain.
