While very clean some the bathroom fixtures were a bit worn and the room could have been arranged a little more practically. The only other thing was the pool water was too hot to give any relief from the heat.

Our room had a wonderful ocean view through palm trees. The room was private, with no neighbours able to see into the windows.

Our room had a beautiful view of the marina. It’s walking distance to restaurants and the beach. Great pool. Wonderful staff especially the lovely woman who served breakfast in the on site restaurant.

Very good situated, 25 mins to Centro, 15 minutes to the main beaches. The pool and cafe was great, and amazing views of the beaches and water from the room.

Perfect stay!! It was really quiet but still with a good atmosphere, everywhere was super clean and the staff were so helpful. The views from the balcony are amazing, and the poolside restaurant/bar has great options and is good quality. Everything about hotel barlovento was lovely and the location was perfect! 10 mins from a gorgeous beach and a quiet area with no loud bars or clubs. Air con works really well, beds are comfy and rooms a great size. Couldn’t fault it! We were only here for 2 nights but wished we could have stayed longer because it was perfect. Thanks!

Beach towels are a bit old and have some tearing, but they will change them for free every day.

Solid, no-frills option a bit away from the action in Zicatela and la Punta, but close to the swimmable beaches, such as Carrizalillo and Manzanillo. AC was a blessing in mid June and worked well during a heat wave.

Beautiful quiet grounds of the hotel with lots of plants and birds. Pool was always clean and in the full sun. Staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. We had a sea view which was incredible! WiFi worked well as well as a working TV and plugs in convenient places. A short walk from a beach and restaurants/ shops which makes this an ideal location for being quiet yet convenient. Taxi to playa carrizalillo was only 60 pesos - reception were happy to order local taxis which came in minutes. If you're heading to Puerto Escondido please stay here!

The stay was quiet, chill, and good. I have no complaints. Greater language fluency at the front desk, is something to work towards. Paying upfront when you arrive, for the whole stay, rather than pre-approval to be signed when you leave, was new to me and a little unclear. Passport safe access in our room was not an option, during our stay.

This is a great, well maintained, classic Mexican coast hotel. The rroms are spacious and clean. The pool was lovely. The restaurant for the hotel, was surprisingly excellent. Juice was great. Coffee was very good. Breakfast and lunch options, quality, and flavours were all excellent. Food and drink delivery was available to the pool. The staff were pleasant and jovial.

If you want to go to zicatela or the punta it is a little far. Good location for the Centro and rinconada

Nice hotel ;big rooms, quality sheets, comfy beds, amazing view. Good pool, nice restaurant for breakfast, great staff. Very clean. Plenty of hot water and good AC. Fridge in room, daily housekeeping and free bottled water.
