The worst manager. Things in our room were broken we asked many times for fixing no one did anything

This place should be really nice. However, the outside area is not maintained at all. The pool was neglected, as was the ice bath. The male host was pretty unwelcoming & only interested in the “toad experience” the female staff were a lot nicer. The room itself is nice but very small. The shower temperature is extremely temperamental.

The bed was comfortable & air con worked.

The whole place is beautiful, it's like a jungle retreat in the heart of Tulum. The rooms are superb and phenemonal value, and the daily sauna/ice baths go a long way. There's also a fantastic birria taco place adjacent. I wouldn't consider anywhere else if I return to Tulum.

Even with a beautiful surrounding, Bufo Alvarius lacked on providing us a great experience, which I'll tell below. We've stayed there for 2 nights. Indeed, everything went well on the first one, however, after staying a full day outside, when we've arrived at night for a bath and sleep, the sink started to leak water all around the bathroom and the room. The staff on duty was helpful trying to find how to turn off the water register, which was only made more than 30 minutes after, our luggage was almost wet and the bathroom was not able to be used any longer. From that moment, we couldn't use the sink, shower or the flush. We later found out that this was the second time in a week that this had happened in the room we've stayed on. It seems that it was barely fixed for the next person (us) to use. We stayed in touch with the manager, which tried helping but it had to go through the owner. We've offered to get in touch with him to discuss that directly, but apparently he's unavailable to talk with customers. In the end, the only thing we got was a 50% refund of the last night. One last thing, is that we have put our clothes to dry in some chair right outside our bedroom, and we found out a staff collecting it and throwing on the trash. We would have lost some personal belongings if my boyfriend haven't seen it on time.

The place localization and the facilities were beautiful and great. They do not count with laundry, for example, nor with fridge or television on the rooms.

It was beautiful and lovely quiet. The surroundings were very well decorated with good air conditioning , The large trees surrounding the pool gave it a very cool affect the nicest place I’ve stayed in Tulum .

This is the worst review I am about to write in more than 10 years of travelling. We booked this accommodation for three main reasons. First one was the price. We were charged what we were supposed to, all good. Second one was the pool. Don’t get confused. They list on booking two pools. The outdoor one was out of order when we arrived and the indoor one is none existent. Third reason was their bike rental. We wanted to rent via hotel because it is more trustworthy. Don´t get confused again. Even though they present their bike rental on Booking, they do NOT rent bikes. (Plenty of bike rentals on the street though). If it is not true just don’t list it. Easy as that. We also had room with a flood while raining. We were offered another room which we refused for our last night there. Then we were offered towels to keep the door area dry. They were never delivered. Water in the showers is cold or very hot, nothing in between. Last thing is the (I guess) owner. He seems like a very rude person. Never said hello, not once and we met few times at the front desk. When I was dealing with one of the receptionists he just barked at her about something. Me and my boyfriend both felt like we are not welcome because of him. And I assumed he is the one who does the ceremonies or is in charge of it which is a huge paradox. But this last point is just about our feeling and perception.

The rooms are pretty as well as the property. Front desk staff was nice to us. They had to deal with a broken key in our room and were very helpful. We appreciated the kitchen.

The screaming and vomiting noises everyday from people doing the therapy in the teepees outside our room was disturbing

VERY weird vibes. We knew from other reviews that they do „wellness ceremonies“, but didn’t know how cult-like the place was going to be. Very badly equipped kitchen. Staff was not very friendly and open. Rooms are very thinly walled (we could hear the alarm of someone in the double room next to us). Lights kept turning on randomly in the middle of the night (VERY creepy).

A very pleasant and atmospheric place. Service Very nice and helpful. The rooms are small but comfortable and very clean. The center has places to relax, there is a swimming pool and a sauna (unfortunately it did not work during our stay - a small minus). I recommend this place.

It's a very commercial place that focuses on facilitating 'healing' ceremonies that take place all day in 2 big tents close to the guest pool. That means you will see random people entering all day, and you'll hear them throw up (cleansing) pretty much the entire day. Hence, we did not feel comfortable spending time chilling at the hotel in general. Very dirty showers, kitchen, and common areas. In 1 week, they never cleaned our room, no 1 time!! The service is the worst, very unfriendly, and not caring at all. We were happy to leave this hotel. I do not recommend staying here. You can find another place that works your money.
