Jorge was an amazing host, so helpful and friendly. The hostel is in walking distance of everything in a quiet part of town. The rooms were cleaned every day.

The beds don’t have any shelf where to put your stuff, and even in the bathroom there could be more space where to put your stuff.

The owner, Jorge, is such a sweet character and has a lot of attentions and pleasant surprises for his guests, from sweet bread offered twice a week, to a goodbye chocolate he bought for me. Also, by staying at this hostel you can have a 150 pesos discount on the lagoon tour and further discounts on restaurants and activities. Also, the atmosphere at this hostel was so friendly. Since it’s quite small it was easy to get to know everybody and create solid groups ❤️

Not enough pots and pans Volunteer made a mistake after confirming we were booked for two nights, yet being told after the first night we had to leave due to the hostel being booked out. Luckily the owner let us stay after figuring things out abd with a discounted rate. Location: it is far from everything and a long walk home at night with a lot of stray, and potentially angry dogs, to confront.

Such a horrible room with no window, no ventilation, there was mold! Not a healthy environment to be in, nor the air to breathe. Stuffy room, dark, hot, the AC was on from 10 pm, but was not making the temperature any lower. The hostel is open all the time, during the night too! Anyone can enter. No keys given, it is not a secure place. Survived one night, but definitely not coming back

The staff was friendly and the location was close to the bus station. Free breakfast from 9am that consists of papaya, pineapple and banana, you can have coffee and tea too, a toast with jam, drinking water available

The showers didn't work well and it was a bit far from the centre.

The manager was absolutely lovely. Listened to everything, helped me when I needed it. Very attentive. It's super cosy and very easy to make friends with the other travellers.

But you can't run an hostel only with volunteers. This hostel need some maintenance. It has potential to be better hostel if it's taken care of.

photos are kind of misleading. the wifi is also a disaster, and the room I stayed in was definitely too small for 5 people. also had to drag a chair over to climb on to my bed as there was no ladder. also no warm water in the shower and the water pressure wasn’t great (although this appears to be a problem throughout mexico)

The property does not have storage for backpacks/luggage during the day when you check out or check in early. The lady was very rude when we arrived while it was raining as she told us to come back at 3pm for check in when we were 2 hours early.

The property was clean, and there was a simple breakfast every morning. The rooms are unique! AC was switched on every evening.

My room had a window inside the kitchen. It means very dark, no fresh air, noise from kitchen and bad smell in a room and regular smell from kitchen. Situation with water and electricity are not good.

Nice small hotel with interesting design. They had even hot water.
