Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceCleanliness is very subjective.. There is a lot of humidity in the room.. Which could be explained by the Air-conditioning which isn't working properly and is leaking water constantly all over on the electric socket. The pressure in the shower is non-existent, we had to take our showers elsewhere. Our only interaction with the owner was a reminder of the check out time before our departure. No water / coffee available etc.. Overall, avoid this place .. this dome idea is nice but this place needs a serious shake up before being able to charge 80~100$ a night.... We got robbed.
The pictures is the booking page of this hotel, which are not representative at all of the actual place..

United StatesProperty is not well well maintained. Last night while sleeping our bed, pillow and mattress was infested with bed bugs.. I took photos and videos as proof.. property manager was unable to be reached at 12:35 am so the house keeping moved us to another room.
This is my third time staying at this property due to its ideal location and appeal..

United Kingdomnot quite as described - quite a few things missing (coffee machine, tv didn’t work, no minibar or any drinks facilities at all). Nothing was resolved when we communicated this & not sure why we paid for the ‘deluxe’ room in this case. Staff was limited and at times rude. There was also building works going on from 8am during our stay. It’s a good concept, but potentially overpriced for what it is. It’s also not sound proofed at all, we could hear everything from the room next door which was awkward!
good aircon, comfy bed

Czech RepublicThe glamping is absolutely amazing. About six small huts with private bathrooms and pretty hamacas in between. The owner was very nice, gave us loads of tips on what to do on Holbox. The location was also great, about 10 mins walk from the ferry and very close to the center and the beach. It’s not meant to be a 5-star hotel but a glamping, so I don’t really understand some of the reviews here :)

Belgiumthere was a power outage on the island. Tried the booking app and WhatsApp contact - no response, I was left on read and that’s it. on top of this, local taxi drivers advised this power outage was announced by local autohirities. we had no electricity, no airco, no candles nothing. On top of this the price they charged for a local tour was outrageous (only learned after our tour). the room was shabby, almost no water pressure and to top things off: 1 mouse, 1 scorpion and lizards in the bathroom. Definitely better places for this value around!! Avoid if possible.
the location was nice that’s about it

PolandBeautiful place to stay for few days in the jungle. This place is made with great idea to be close to the nature. While you are taking the shower you can smell the fresh air, see the sky and hear the birds. It was great experience to stay there for two nights. Very helpful and friendly guide Juan on the reception was there for us if we had any problem. He also recommended us good restaurants where we spent great time. Wish to stay at Frequency longer. Pure relax!

GermanyAs most of people mentioned, the Wi-Fi is not that great. However, don’t make your decision based on this defect. The Wi-Fi on this island is not great in general.
It’s a hidden gem. Most backpackers go to the hostel to meet new people. However, if you want a night break without party people in the lobby. This is the perfect choose. I liked the outdoor feeling, space ship shaped dorm. The open air shower is a huge plus.

DenmarkThe Wood that the houses is build of have starten to rotten, so the air inside the cabin is really not healthy. The first night we could not figure out where the smell was coming from - I was afraid that a dead animal were there somewhere, bedbugs or something else. Our second night there had been a lot of rain, and then we realized that the smell were because of all the mold and that the rottenness smell came from the cabin itself. We tried to speak with the cleaning lady earlier that day without any luck. So second night we sleept with all windows open, aircon on and deodorants on our hands so I could fall a sleep without the rotten smell right in our noses. I think we could all agree that this is not the way a nice stay in your vacation should be like… We tried to talk to the host, but he told us that I couldn’t help. So we left one day earlier, and found another place to stay. We have tried to talk with the property through booking.com, but the just state the it is the natural state of the wood. I hope I’m able to upload pictures, so you all can see all the rottenness before you decide whether you want to stay here or not..
I did like the online pictures - however I did not like the real life experience or that the picture online do not reflektere reality! On the pictures you are able to look out of the windows, however in relatively they have spray painted most of the windows, so you are not able to look at the sky, very dark inside.

BrazilThere was no water on one of the nights, we got at the hotel after spending the day at the beach and there was just a gallon of mineral water in front of our bedroom door. There was no note, explanation or apologizes. We got up the next morning, and it still wasnt any water, we had to check out without even being able to take a decent shower. We sended a message to the reception via whatsapp, as instructed by them, asking for some tips of the island and didnt get any answer. We also missed some furnitire to put our bags on top of. Overpriced for a bad experience.
The room is exactly like the pictures, its cozy and the bed its really comfortable.

NetherlandsWe don’t usually write “bad” reviews, but now we felt like we had to speak up. For a fairly high price per night (82 US dollars) we were really disappointed and the place is not at all what it seems like on the pictures: - We had to wait 1 hour before anyone arrived to check in (there is no reception), while we were told multiple times over the phone that someone would arrive in 5-10 minutes. - We were sleeping on a construction site. There was group of men renovating some cottages, and although they were friendly, they left the area scattered with paint, tools, beer cans, pots and pans etc etc. It did not feel welcoming, as we were the only tourists and the other cottages were either being renovated or used by the construction workers. It seemed like they had forgotten that there were actually guests coming and paying a hefty sum of money. - The airconditioning was really loud and made sleeping hard. - The cottage and bathroom itself was not very clean. - We had to ask for towels and we had to ask for water twice as it stopped working. - The contact person told us that a taxi was arranged to bring us to the ferry, but it never showed up. Although this could be the fault of the taxi service as well.

United Kingdommusty smell in the cabins Nobody was present at the reception and we required the room to be cleaned on the 3rd day by messaging the owner on Booking but we never received answers and the room was never cleaned. Clear lack of customer service. No real front desk service. Staff on site is pretty inexistent and indifferent. There is only a woman who lives in a small house at the entrance which is poorly maintained (actually looks like a rat's nest... see pictures) but she was basically never there. No proper common area, no breakfast or even coffee (which was in the facilities list). No drinking water is provided either, you will have to buy your own. No one was present at the reception for check-out, we just left the keys on the door. We could not get help to get a taxi to come to the estate and ended up going across the street to try and catch a taxi on the main road and ask the other hotels around. The estate suffered from successive power cuts over few hours during our last day. A guy (the woman's boyfriend?) was trying to fix it (he wasnt professional with us guests). I hope they have fixed it properly because without power, sleeping without the AC is almost impossible and you have no water access either (probably due to pumps requiring power). No possibility to hang towels and swimsuits inside / outside. Providing beach towels would be a plus, and it would help to have a wardrobe to hang / store clothes. Not recommended at all, overpriced for the service provided and overall not as glamorous as the pictures on booking would let you believe
Domes are quite small but offer a decent level of comfort, with an “outdoor” shower (shower with transparent ceiling giving a view on the surrounding vegetation and letting sunlight go through, you are not actually outside) Good toiletry products. Place was clean when we arrived Relatively cheap compared to other accommodations on the island

FranceFirst surprise, no reception, you just land at the place like this. A woman welcome us and checks absolutely not our identities. On the way to our room, she informs us the air conditioning doesn't work and the technician will come very soon. We decide to wait in the room until he comes: no towel in the room, old bedsheets, no decoration, a poor coffee machine with no cups and no coffee, a dirty shower, a dirty room in overall, traces of humidity in the room, strange smell, no service from the hotel.. I'll pass on all the problems. . As the technician has NEVER dared to come and we lost at the end 3 hours, we really push the woman how welcomed us to offer an alternative, the room as way too hot for us to sleep in there. She informs us we will go to another hotel in the City Center called "The Black Flamingo". We land in the center of Holbox in front of a complete open door (which is supposed to be the entry of the place), no sign, no light. We arrive in front of our room, she's opens us the door and we get it after some minutes: they actually offered us a room in a hotel... WHICH WASN'T FINISHED. We realized we were alone in the building and the hotel wasn't actually finished: dirty floor, no window in the bathroom, no hot water, missing key items (the sit of the toilets, missing trash bins, soap, towels again, no curtains in the bedroom...), and a little dead corcroach in BONUS. They even dared to come the day after when we went for breakfast and opened the room of our door (which was LOCKED) to install some windows in the bathroom WITHOUT ANY PRIOR INFORMATION OR AKNOWLEDGMENT FROM US. No excuse, no refund, NOTHING. Had to run to another hotel, which became expensive because of the weekend and finally go out of Holbox to get a cheaper alternative. Run away and take another decent place, which won't debit you before you come to the hotel and treat you like this.
The place is surrounded with green, that was the only positive point from our experience.
