total no go: advertising the place as designated smoking area (I'm asthmatic and habe to work remotely - so relying on a usable work space) - and allowing smoking everyerwhere (there's no indoor space to sit) - smoke also went into our dorm and to the bathroom / showers. please change that. this is a serious health issue. especially if the boss himself just sits right next to you blowing smoke into your face at breakfast. one shower unusable as water was hitting the wall at the hight of my head.

lovely place in general. small but nice breakfast and lovely lady preparing it. volunteers are friendly and social as are the guests

Although it is hostel and I didn’t expect any luxuries I felt dissapointed. Rooms definitely look better at photos than in reality - you can see that there is not much renovation. Window is in the passage so there is no privacy as everybody goes there and as a consequence not much light if you use the curtain. It is rather noisy place, not sure if because of pepole at the street or inside the place but i recommend using earplugs or lots of alcohol to sleep through the night. And last thing is the water in toilet is not flashing properly so… just imagine.

The personel was helpful and really nice. Good location.

The hostel is a little dirty, there was mould in the room. The showers are very small and don't work really well. The photos are outdated. The breakfast is really simple.

The staff are really friendly, easy and fast check in and check out. Really good location, amazing places to eat close buy.

Too early to turn airco off at 7AM. No place to cool down. Water in shower hardly had any pressure.

The interns/volunteers are cool, but the actual staff has very poor English, and wasnt very helpful. Breakfast was good.

Everything was to my liking.

My room was clean and perfect for one night; the bed was comfortable, and the aircon (and fan) a true blessing. It was quiet. The bathroom facilities were fine. The location is impeccable!

Everything else. Disgusting shower even in the private room we booked. Staff who checked us in was rude, refused to put on a mask when we politely asked, and entered our room without a mask or invitation which really rubbed us the wrong way.

Noise is unbearable. It's hostel environment and the location is 10th Ave so the noise from outside is understandable. But we woke up in our first morning at 7AM (!) to the unbelievably high music being played by the STAFF (!) next door when she was cleaning the next door room. First we thought it's either from the teenagers staying at the hostel or the restaurant next door so we tried to go back to sleep but it was unbearable, we wanted to check, and once we saw it's a staff member doing this at 7AM, it blew our mind. Where is your common sense? It's freaking 7AM. We had very turbulent sleep for all 4 nights there, be prepared to wake up to music or variable noise either from the staff, or the restaurant next door, or guests overall. Since the rooms are right next to very narrow corridor where staff and guests walk by up and down all the time, it's never quiet. The common washroom is totally worn out. The washroom doors are broken, the floor is not paved, it's extremely small, and the floor is always wet. There is spider web all around the lighting fixture in the room, and the sheets were stained.

Location is perfect, right at the 10th Ave. Some staff are friendly and helpful.

the air condition has to be on all day! please wabi hostel change that … I would habe been happy to pay more for that but it was impossible to stay in the room more than 1 min during the day

good location, nice terrace, perfect for remote workers as wifi on terrace is good and until evening not loud, in the evening music etc but could not be heard in the rooms, i read here in the reviews before my stay that people did not like the showers but i actually did like them, nice kitchen, drink water provided
