being in the center it’s quite loud. there are a few discotecas right on the same block which play music all night on the weekends. we were able to sleep fine but if you’re someone who is easily bothered it might easily it could be a problem. not the most social hostel

in the middle of Oaxaca city, comfy beds with AC, good privacy in the private rooms, breakfast included, information about tours around town. beautiful rooftop and terrace.

I wanted to come back to the hostel after going to the mountains for a few days, contacted them , was told there were beds left but when I arrived , I was told that everything was full. didn’t appreciate that but I guess should be avoided when making a reservation via booking.com

There is almost no variety in breakfast. The staff doesn't provide many info about logistics and alternatives to tours they sell. I had the impression they take the job very seriously, that's great for the service but in a hostel vibes are important too :)

The hostel is really nice and located in a great position. The value for money is excellent: the beds are comfortable, each of it equipped with plugins and locks; there are a beautiful garden and terrace; the kitchen can be used at your convenience (even if its not so much equipped) and they serve breakfast everyday.

It was a little loud with street noise and guests coming and going but nothing unexpected for a hostel in a city centre.

Great location close to Santo Domingo. Room with three bunk beds, and attached bathroom with two showers and toilets.

The female dorm is a bit cramped. The internal shower and toilet (ensuite) were very open plan so that you have no privacy when using them.

Excellent value as breakfast was included. Nice common areas to socialise. Great central location. Friendly staff.

They overbooked the dorm and I could only stay 1 of the 2 nights I booked and for some reason I payed more then half of what I would have via booking

Great location, nice breakfast and nice terrace upstairs. Rooms were nice but a bit dark. Decent value for the money and staff were nice. However, it can be really difficult to sleep with the bar across the street blasting music until the wee hours of the morning, so just brace yourself for that. It's also a little weird how they give you a wristband that you have to wear to enter anytime. I didn't really like having to have that or else be denied entry into my place (though that's really just a minor issue).

cramped damp rooms, no air circulation. nowhere to put my bag. crazy loud at night with the clubs (4am one night). moved after my 2 nights and wouldn’t recommend.

I don’t like the idea that there is a karaoke bar right across the street and that’s the music I will be listening to as I fall asleep, lol. There is only a small two burner stove for everyone and only one fridge, so it’s packed pretty tight. l would also like to see some kind of storage unit to put my def food into

I like that there is a nice kitchen with free breakfast included and also different areas to hang out. The location is okay, not too far from the zocalo.

It's loud! The dorms are just next to the street + there are clubs in the opposite site of the street, so bring your earplugs. In the morning you can year everything from the kitchen, when they start to prepare the breakfast at 7am, as the dorms are just next to it. Be careful, the 8 bed dorm is for men only (like a female or mixed dorm) BUT it is not mentioned in the description. The 4 & 8 bed dorm have really bad air inside, as there is now window and no air circulation. In the female dorm the shower and toilet are inside the room without a door, only a curtain. The rooms don't have much space for bigger backpacks, which does not fit into the provided lockers. The free breakfast (2 toast, fruits, one egg, coffee/tea) is okay, but if you want only two extra slices of toast you should pay 50 Pesos. That's the price for the whole breakfast menu. There is no comfortable or quite hangout area, even so the rooftop terrace is nice with all the plants.

Free drinking water, bed was comfortable, luggage storage, fruits for the free breakfast, provided lockers, central location.
