Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumThat I had to leave :)
All you need is there - great location next to La Plancha Park, walking distance to the Zocalo square. Modern and super clean place with a restaurant and great food. They have free of charge breakfast each morning and are proactive by organizing different activities such as salsa classes etc to cater socializing among visitors. Enough common space incl. a pool. The staff is very friendly and super helpful, so if you need any info about the city, traveling around or so on don't hesitate to ask them. I've also booked 3 different tours such as Chichen Itza, Uxmal etc at the reception with their partner agency and everything was exceptional

Czech RepublicIf you’ll be in the four first rooms it will be very hard to sleep. There is a bar (with minimum people), and they blast music till midnight. Also you will hear every person who comes and goes to the hostel as the doors make a lot of noise. So you will be awake til very late and then back up in early morning. Also the toilets were clogged most of the time. And my bed lamp was fallen of the wall when I arrived, so I said it to the receptionist and she promised someone will fix it. No one did in the time I was there. I wanted to book a tour to cenotes that they advertise as daily activity but not many people are signing up for it, so it doesn’t actually go every day. I had to book external trip.
Good beds, nicely looking hostel, family dinner on Sunday.

NetherlandsThere's nothing not to like!
Very comfortable, tastefully decorated and well-equipped, super clean room. Great, tasty breakfast served by a joyful, kind team in a cozy open dining area. My wife asked if they had tortillas and they kindly and quickly hand-made some. Loved the ambience with cafe/bar next to the reception area. Really nice crowd, mix of older and younger guests. Great internet throughout the facilities and well equipped co-working space too. Super location next to Parque La Plancha, in the "corredor gastronómico" and a leisurely 8-minute walk to beautiful Paseo Montejo. Longer stroll at night, if you get lured into peeking into ithe super cool restaurants, lounges, clubs and bars. Easy to get to and from the place both to/from airport and the Maya Train station by public transport as well as by Uber (don't take a taxi, ask the front desk to arrange an Uber or take the electric tram from the stop only a block away - takes you straight to the Maya Train station or Airport or vice versa) Close to the historic center but nicely away from traffic, noise and tourist crowds. We've stayed in Mérida on different occasions and this place has more character and good-feel vibes than some of the so-called 4 and 5 star hotels. Cleaner too!

United Kingdom- Clean and tidy - Lovely facilities and common areas - Good breakfast which changes each day - the staff were so kind, helpful and welcoming - LOVED twice daily free yoga on the roof terrace - cute interiors - great location 15-20 mins walk from the centre - close to loads of restaurants - lovely to have the ‘family meal’ while I was there - essentially a free pasta dinner and a chance to meet other guests

AustriaThe bathroom was lacking at door and was only separated by see-through curtain (private double room). The room was not as clean as we hoped, there were roaches, and there were dead ants all over the bed and the bathroom. Also, the breakfast was kind of lacking.
Hostik has a really nice hostel-vibe. It is very colorful and has a lot of activities available, even free yoga. Laundry service was very good.

NorwayUnfortunately, some washing machine was often running at night and the sound kept us awake at times. Other than this, the area was very peaceful.
We were a couple staying at Hostik and had a lovely stay! The staff was super welcoming, arranged activities every day and assisted when needed. The hostel has a WhatsApp group to keep everyone updated on what's going on. Location was great, a short walk from the city center and various restaurants, grocery stores and everything else you might need. We stayed at a double room with private bathroom; Bathroom was spacious, and the room had a double bed with a shelf above it. In case you're travelling with much luggage, note that these rooms don't have much storage space for clothes etc., only a couple wall hooks. Common areas were very nice and the Wifi worked well.

United KingdomWe had the best time at Hostik and extended our stay by a few days! The place is super well designed and the shared bathrooms for private rooms never felt too busy and were always clean. The staff was super friendly and we felt safe and very comfortable. The location is superb - we walked everywhere from the hostel and there are many nice caffes around.

United KingdomBreakfast could have been better, the eggs were a little bit rubbery. Not much take up with the activities and free alcohol would have been a plus to get people to join, especially as the bar isn't open every day and you aren't allowed your own alcohol. Fairly expensive for a hostel.
Loved the location, next to a lovely park area and a nice street with lots of nice restaurants and cafes, not far to walk to the centre. The facilities were very clean and pretty much had the shared bathroom to ourselves. Breakfast was included and we took part in the free activities. Really liked the botanical decor and pool area.

Beautiful place, great free breakfasts, nice staff. Room was much bigger than pictures showed. Great area too - right next to a beautiful new park and on one of the prettiest streets in Merida.
