Unfortunately what we don’t like it’s that our room it’s extremely small for a family of 5 , the stairs to go up to the two extra beds was very close to the walkway and we hit our heads a couple of times , no ac on second level of the room , the pool was dirty , one of the days that we were there they started working on the roof around six / seven in the morning we couldn’t sleep.

Joshua and Laidy were amazing ( employees at the hotel ) we liked that it’s was extremely close to everything .

The location is great, just a few meters from the beach and not too far from the center. At the reception, they lent you towels for the beach.

It’s super noisy, in the night there’s a lot of music and people talking until the late hours. Couldnt sleep well. The pool isn’t very inviting, nor is the reception. There’s no lobby so the hotel is good to only sleep and take a (mostly cold) shower. But that’s enough for here. Holbox is great.

The location. Beach around the corner and everything in walking distance ☺️. And it was clean.

Economy standard room is what we booked and what we received. Standard and basic but clean and tidy. Staff were sociable. Room swept and cleaned daily with fresh towels every two days which was unexpected. Quiet location very close to beach and all the bars. No issues

our room was next to the restaurant and we could hear everything. So early in the morning we couldn’t sleep in because we could hear conversations as if it were in our room 😭. besides that it’s was good tho

The room was a little hot although it had two fans. It seems like the facilities might use a little maintenance because it looks a little uncared-for.

The location was amazing, near restaurants, the beach and points of interest. The pool was nice and the personnel helpful.

During the booking one of the deciding factors was that it stated the room had A/C. Upon arrival we we told that the room did not have an A/C unit, only a fan.

great location, great price, no frills, just everything you need. A storm and seaweed made the beach unswimmable, so the pool was nice to have in the morning!

In the regular room rentals (Not a suite) there is a small full size old worn out and very uncomfortable bed with no AC and no hot water in the shower. The electrical plugs were worn out and would not hold our chargers in to charge our phones. There was no running water at times which was horrible when your trying to flush the toilet or shower after a salty sweaty day at the beach. The pool was taped off as they said there was no water, and they were bringing some in. The receptionist takes off throughout the day, and it was extremely hard for me to contact anyone at the hotel, and when I finally did, she said oh, there’s a bell you could ring there way at top as she was doing her best to unwrap the rope attached to the bell that is used to ring it. This small town is doing its best to manage the amount of people that are visiting HolBox but it just doesn’t have the electrical capacity nor the water pressure to cater to so many tourist. BUT somehow when we upgraded to a suite, the room did have an electrical water heater you had to manually turn on to get warm water to shower, good water pressure and air conditioning.

Perfect location! walking distance to EVERYTHING; shops, restaurants and most importantly the beach. Saved on having to rent a gulf cart. ***It was only when we upgraded to one of their 2 suites that we were comfortable as ONLY the suites have air conditioning, a comfortable queen mattress and hot water for your showers.
