This Hostal is off the beaten path a little however it has a real Mexican character to it. Take the time and explore the area you will realize the location is fine. It is quiet and comfortable.

The sandy trail leading to the hostel was a bit scary to walk through because of the neighbors' dogs. it was also a bit far away from everything. It makes sense to stay here if you are catching a boat at the Marina

I checked in both the double room(without bathroom) and the family room(with bathroom) due to some sudden change on my itinerary. The share bathroom is clean, but the mattress for the double is too soft. Mattress for the family room (luna) is awesome. Only draw back is that they forgot to clean the bathroom of the family room from the previous checkout, they tried to make up for me, but leaving the sink totally forgotten. The road(all the way from the closest roundabout is not paved), I know that is the government's issue, but making it very difficult to drag the luggage to the hostel.

The tranquility of the place is awesome, except that those poor dogs from the entrance lot were trained to bark madly to any passing by are very annoying. With share kitchen, fridge and drinking water, I can enjoy my shopping from the convenient store slowly. Only takes less than 20minutes walk to the beach, where you can see whale breaching and jumping rays Hosts are very friendly, and the little courtyard is very comfortable, I spotted a sun bird when I was there

The single overhead light in the shared dorm! But hey, it IS a dorm!!!!

I booked a bed in the shared dorm. I loved the easy access to the bathroom, the privacy curtain around my bunk bed, and I definitely liked the cost!!! Thank you so much for providing free coffee and water each day, that was divine! And thank you for being an overall exceptional host. I appreciate my time at La Playita and WOULD book again!!!! Thank you!

Very cosy, quiet, spacious and great value for the price. Located in a more tranquil part of town and not a lot of noise or traffic around you and very hospitable service. This space was great for me personally as I was transitioning between living spaces and it was a peaceful place for me to pause. Would recommend

The signage from the road could of been better

I stayed at La Plaita Hostal just around two weeks ago now prior to departing on a Liveaboard diving Holiday . The location of the hostel was a little difficult to find and could of had better signage , however I had saved the location on Google Maps prior to leaving for Mexico so with my mobile phones help I got there safely . My flight to Cabo was delayed by 5 hours and I kept the hostel informed , they immediately emailed me back and said there was no need to worry they'd be waiting for me . This was a great weight off my mind . The dorm that I was in had 2 bunk beds and a single bed all with privacy curtains and 2 lockable compartments , one for you back pack and one for your luggage . the facility was very clean as was the communal toilets / showers . With just a 15 mins walk to the Marina it was in an ideal place for me , I also walked into Cabo from the hostel which took around 30 mins . The Hostal also provided a clean towel and Free Internet . Very nice people a very clean and reasonable priced stay , I highly recommend you to stay here

It was a very quiet setting. The location was away from the the main town but close to everything I needed. The people were so nice. I will stay there again the next tie I visit San Jose del Cabo.
