Beds were a little firm for our liking.sometimes the hot water in the shower lost pressure and stopped.More of an inconvenience than a problem.

Central for all the sights with many a few blocks away.Staff was extremely helpful.Bed with a private bathroom, shared kitchen .

The hostel is not signed, and Google maps directed us to the wrong house. It's very confusing as each property is gated. We didn't receive clear instructions on how to access the property before we arrived. The shower was not great. We had 3 people in our group, and not everyone could shower each night due to poor water pressure. I tried on 2 occasions on the same day to have a shower without success. To add to this, only hot water was available, so the showers we did have were uncomfortably hot. Talking with staff this seemed normal... No air conditioning in the rooms either, however there was a fan.

Staff were friendly and polite. The room was clean and very quiet during the night, which was excellent. The location was perfect to get to all the main places around Oaxaca and had a great cafe around the corner. It felt very secure and in a safe part of the neighborhood. It was away from roads with lots of traffic.

It was very hot. In general, we think if you book in Oaxaca, it’s best to have AC.

We loved the location and the room size.

The running water in the shower was not strong but it worked, so no complains really. The room floor could be updated sometimes in the future just because the rest is really nice and it feels clean and modern.

With my son we stayed 3 nights. The room was very clean, we loved the little kitchen with the terrace, the roof top option and the great location. The hotel/hostal doesn't have a 24h reception which was OK. Access is easy, and mostly we had no noise. When visiting the city it's a perfect stay. We loved the fact Boulenc bakery was just for a few minutes walk, so we could grab our breakfast and enjoy it on the hostal's terrace. The staff was helpful and flexible, and it was also an extra we could leave our suitcase at the reception area until leaving to the bus station several hours later after check out.

    1. Toilet plumbing issues: after flushing, you have to wait around 10-15 minutes before you can use it again. If you travel alone it't not a bif issue but if there are 2 of you, it might be a problem. 2. Noise: the echo from the corridor and the street was really strong, making it hard to get a quiet moment. 3. No hairdryer in the rooms — only one shared among all guests, and if someone takes it and doesn’t return it, you're out of luck. The same issue applies to the iron, though at least it's used less frequently. The kitchen was also lacking in plates, and sometimes they were all taken, leaving nowhere to put food. 4. The hotel is outdated, it looks much older tha on the photos, it needs serious updates and has too many small inconveniences.

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful—the receptionist even arranged a taxi at a fair price. The bed was firm but comfortable, and the terrace with a view was a nice touch. The location is a bit away from the center but in a quiet area.

Fortunately we arrived just before staff left for the day. Since we were on the bus prior to arriving, we did not get the message about the door code. I would suggest sending the code a day ahead of time. Be aware the hotel is five l-o-n-g blocks uphill from center.

The staff were superb. So helpful and friendly. Room was spare but adequate.

We had a few issues with the bathroom during our stay; - there's always very little pressure, that's something you can get used to - one day there was no hot water in the evening, was fixed the next day - one day there was no water at all, also fixed the next day

Location is great, 10min walk to everything, in a quiet street, nice Cafe nearby Kitchen is rather well equipped Very big room with plenty of space Internet works very well Overall the value for money is really good

Very low water pressure; you have to plan your shower around the time everybody else tries to shower. Early morning or night works. You also have to be patient for the toilet tank to fill up.

only one disadvantage (being very picky here ;)) is that there is no ceiling fan, but a standing fan which was quite loud.

Very nice place in Oaxaca, not very central, but on the other side very quite. Nice tarrace. there is also a shared kitchen, which was also nice add on :)

Felt very basic - thin walls (but note, still quiet - everyone staying was respectful of noise it felt like), and very small room vs photo. Plus very hot and no aircon.

Pretty good location - easy to walk to downtown. Surprisingly quiet at night. Nice views to the mountains. Shared kitchen if useful for you.

No AC so it was very hot. We asked for another fan but even with it, it was hot in the room. The shower head is not very good either.

The room was simple, but for the price absolutely ok. It could use air conditioning, as it gets really hot and the ventilation is not helping much. For Oaxaca it's in a surprisingly calm and quiet area. The staff was amazingly helpful and nice (Thank you Gustavo!). Also there was a little open kitchen, with potable water for free, which was really appreciated. I would stat there again.

It was a heat wave when we were there and with only a fan, no a/c it was very warm. Our fan did not work as well as in our first room.

Having a shared kitchen with a large fridge, filtered water supply, coffee maker with outside seating area was great. The first morning the cold water in our shower did not work. The repair man came quickly but couldn't repair it and we were moved to another room within an hour. On a quiet street so noise was not an issue.

No a/c and only a noisy standing fan which was totally inadequate. The room was stifling hot and unbearable at times. You couldn't even have a cold shower as hot water was coming out the cold tap.

I liked this place. It was in a great location, had friendly staff and it was very clean. There was also a kitchen to use. There were lots of outside tables and terraces and security was good.⁸
