Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWhilst the kitchen is really useful the facilities were very basic. Probably worth spending a bit more and getting one of the suites, the prices are so cheap!
Great location, just 5-10 minutes walk to the walled town. Fantastic value for money and the free drinking water was a nice touch.

FranceFyi, there is no parking, even though it's advertised as such, it's just parking in the street, that the hotel for some reason consider theirs. In the two beds room we had, the shower is in the middle of the room, not in a separate bathroom, which is quite weird considering it's likely a room you will share with parents, family or friends. They put a bed sheet to give some privacy 😂 There's also mold in the corner. Main light didn't work and they didn't do anything about it when told. Was super dark at night in the room. The 2m2 pool is quite disguting. They were cleaning it but it doesn't seem like the alge would go away, don't expect to have a swimming pool. They also have very unnecessary fancy feather duvet (seriously it's 30C out) and it's written all over the room that if you stain them you will be charged 1500mx, quite bizarre and ridiculous.

United KingdomWhere do I start. The room we booked was on a split level with an iron spiral staircase connecting the 2 floors. The staircase has serious health and safety issues and is a serious accident waiting to happen. There is a makeshift hammock in the bedroom on the upper floor again I have concerns about this regards safety. The shower spilled water everywhere when in use and needs fully replacing. The room can only be described as ‘grubby’ at best and is in desperate need for a makeover. We stayed for 2 nights. I woke after the first night covered in mosquito bites. On inspection of the rooms there were several mosquitos present. My mosquito bites were painful and I have enclosed photographs. The place to hang your clothes is on the ground floor room which does not make sense as your bedroom is upstairs. We paid £51 per night and appreciate this is not a lot of money but we are now in another hotel for £10 more per night and far exceeds the standards we unfortunately experienced. I can only leave 4 photographs I wished I could leave more to show how many mosquito bites I received.
The only things that was ok was the hotels location and it had coffee making facilities and good air conditioning. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to Calle 59 the main street in Campeche old town

United KingdomTwo main reasons for the low score. Firstly, the double bed was small, creaked and was too soft. Needed a new or better mattress. So, not that comfortable for sleeping. Secondly, the outdoor spaces were quite scruffy and run down. Not sure when the photographs were taken but must have been a long time ago! Broken board walk, dead leaves on plastic grass, weedy pots, unappealing ‘pool’ ….. so disappointing.
Nice hotel in quiet, safe location. Short walk to the sea and near enough to the centre. Staff check in was good. The room was simply but nicely furnished and was a good size. Air con and shower both fine.

United Statesintermediant water available for shower in the evening. No water for shower the morning. Can't flush toilet with poop in it. We have to use the bathroom near the pool. No wifi in room #1, we have to sit outside the room in hall way to use wifi. Staff is not on duty during those times. Window curtain is too short. People on street can see our bed
Very good location and very friendly staff. Bed is ok, at least we can sleep.

GreeceThe room was quite dissapointing. It was imposible to open the windows to get fresh air into the room and there was a humidity smell the whole time. The room was very small, not many tables to put your stuff and a small bathroom.
The location was excelent because it was very central.

Germany- there was mould in our room and it smelled of it badly and when we asked about it, the problem was obviously known of but we were told there was no other room available - bed was loud and uncomfortable - shower was cold - the sink was blocked - the lighting was horrible - it was incredibly loud (our room was next to the pool toilet and also there were renovations going on) - the kitchen wasn't very clean, no forks, dirty toaster was broken
Pool area was nice

NetherlandsOur room was very humid, in such a way that I reckon it is unhealthy to stay in it, we accepted it because it was only one night, but didn't feel too comfortable about it. The accommodation is also a bit outdated and although you see people cleaning, it doesn't look clean. Bed was very small for 2 persons, but that is the case in many Mexican accommodations. Considering the price, I would say it was a bit less than we expected.
Kind staff, nice pool.

GreeceCockroaches in the garden while the cuisine door was wide open. The lighting in the room was poor, the water in the shower did not run with enough pressure and our room was in front of the registration desk. There is no private parking!! There are enough parking spaces in the road in front of the hotel though.

Czech RepublicThe room was right next to the reception, so you can hear everyone who walks through and slam the door. The only window was to the street - you can see into the room from the street. The promised quiet environment was not - loud music played until about 2am and when she stopped, then the dogs started barking. The bathroom has no ventilation, so the steam and moisture after showering goes into the room, but the window cannot be opened - every morning the window is fogged (and the clothes are damp)! The equipment is outdated - the drawer in the bathroom has no bottom. The sliding door to the bathroom is very stiff. The fan emits clicking noises. Never again - worst accommodation in Mexico so far.

South AfricaI give the Maculis a low score because I did not get a room as was shown in the info beforehand. Unlike the other rooms, mine faced the street and the windows could not open. As a result it was stuffy all the time. The curtains are flimsy and the room was full of outside light. The door opens onto the reception and all other guests coming and going at night could be heard. I can imagine that a room in the courtyard, where windows can open and light is not a problem will encourage their occupants to give a much higher score than I did. I will stay there again but only after insisting that a room in the courtyard be assigned.
Quiet area with a park in front and very little traffic. The car was parked in the street but it was perfectly safe. Aircon, wifi and bathroom amenities in perfect order. A nice cosy inner courtyard and a communal kitchen which facilitates meeting other guests. Easy walking distance from the old town with being caught up in the touristy trappings and noise of the downtown area.

BulgariaOur room was humid and the bedding and towels felt moist as there was no ventilation in the room. The bedding also had old stains which we had to ask them to change. We also asked them to arrange a taxi for us to the bus terminal as we were taking a night bus. Initially they told us it will be 60 peso. Then they told us it will be 80 peso. At the end the taxi was arranged for the wrong time and arrived 20 min earlier and tried to charge us 100 peso for their wait. Honestly don't understand where the good reviews for this place are coming from.
There was hot water in the shower and they allowed us to leave our luggage with them for the day after check out.
