Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe food was pretty poor. They have a pizza oven lit everyday but they don't use it for cooking pizza, instead you get a frozen one cooked in a kitchen oven with a soggy top. The pools were all very cold.
The room and the grounds are as seen in the photos and very nice. The location is as expected, as far away from town as possible so very peacefull (be sure to have cash for the 350 pesos taxi each way).

BrazilAcoustic isolation was bad. Family placed in the room next to ours was very rude and noisy and we could hear everything - including hair dryer at 01am. Breakfast literally only includes coffee as beverage (if you dont drink it, need to pay for something else)
Staff was friendly and eager to please. Location was great to see sunset, but quite far from city center. Pool is very nice.

BelgiumWe stayed here for New Year. Of the 3 restaurants on the property, only 1 was open. They had the same 4 people working there from breakfast until the end of the final dinner shift at night. They were friendly enough, but having someone work 12-14 hours a day just doesn't seem reasonable. We had lunch in the restaurant once, it took forever to get a pizza. We also tried dinner and ordered croquettes as appetizer. They arrived frozen. When we complained, the manager promptly brought out a new dish... also frozen. The food just wasn't good. Do yourself a favor and walk down the beach to Nomade. We went there for lunch and dinner for the remainder of our stay. We expected just a lot of staff were off for the holiday period and the entire property was running on a skeleton crew. We had a room with a "private" pool, but it was just next to the bridge that everyone passes. We only used it once, late at night, because otherwise it would have felt way too awkward with people walking by. The beach area was deserted and was not worth visiting. The beach bar was closed. The internet was poor. Like most places on Holbox, they use Starlink, but I guess they have the cheapest option available. 0.5-2 Mbps per device (at best) and it very regularly disconnected. It rained for one afternoon prior to our visit here and it basically is impossible to get to the hotel without using one of the ATV taxis. The entire island floods, with extremely large puddles blocking off any pedestrian/biking access. We REALLY underestimated just how bad it gets. Puddles 5-8 meters long, 5 meters wide, 30-50 cm deep. On NYE we set out for dinner in another hotel, a couple hundred meters away, but had to return and get a taxi because of the flooding.
The pool area is nice and this is what they feature in most of their pictures. No real complaints here. If you're looking to catch some sun, be advised that there are only 5 beds that actually get some sun in the afternoon. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly.

United StatesThe location could have been closer to other facilities like other restaurants, shopping etc. It's out on Punta Coco, a long ways out of town and the 4 wheel drive, golf cart taxis took 15 minutes over rough, muddy paths to get to town. As such, we stayed put, ate excellent food, drank mango margaritas and enjoyed the fantastic pool. Oh, darn, poor us.
Great facility, really well designed and out together. I'm a builder. wherever I go I look for flaws. None found. Everything was perfect and so was the staff. They bent over backwards to help us with our stay. We're independent, do it yourself types. At one point I asked them to chill. I can do this. I'm not used to that level of service.

United StatesI can't think of anything I didn't like at this property. The only downside is the distance from the property to the main city area of the island. You can walk it, but you will need to be prepared to walk at least 20 minutes. Taking taxis will be expensive so if you can bike or rent a cart yourself to save some money. Bring plenty of water/snacks with you before you check in.
This hotel was the best part of my entire vacation! The property is absolutely breathtaking. The staff are so helpful and patience. They will escort you to your room, show you how to use the amenities around the property and will assist in any way they can. The property is the last resort of that side of the island and it is so serene and picturesque. The breakfast was so fresh and delicious and I loved having the company of the iguanas running around (They wont bother you at all I promise)

United StatesWe booked online via booking.com. We wanted to edit our stay as there was a hurricane in place. We could not rebook or refund our stay. This was a huge hassle calling the facility for updates and, in return, received little information. We paid for our hotel stay in full via booking.com before traveling. Upon arrival to the hotel, we were informed of a $500 US dollar nature fee plus a 5,000 peso room tab. Both mandatory to check in. When they say breakfast included, that means you get one of three choices. The same three choices your entire stay. Plus, you are served, so be prepared to tip. Your free breakfast isn't truly free. The hotel claims to have bikes on site for guests. After requesting to rent bikes twice during our stay, the front desk finally informed us that the bikes are not up to working conditions. Please see the attached picture of the rusty bikes. We booked the private Plunge Pool room. This private pool has a very bright light shining on the pool 24/7. The pool connects to a very busy path located in the center of the resort. Many people/staff members passed during our pool soak. This made the experience uncomfortable. Please see the attached picture of the pool to show proximity to the walking path. During our stay, the resort began construction work outside of our room around 9am. The worst part of our stay was the morning the resort fumigated right outside of our bedroom without warning. Our entire room was filled with gray fumes. I asked the front desk what was going on, and they informed us it was for the mosquitos. We had to open the patio door and prop our room door open with the trash can to attempt to ventilate the room. Please see the attached pictures. Also, compare visibility to the previous pool picture. Both pool pictures are taken at approximately the same time of day, just obviously on different days. For the price you pay to stay here it is not worth it. We look forward to visiting Isla Holbox again.
The room was clean. The hotel is located right on the beach.

DenmarkIt was very far away from everything. There were no help from the hotel to get to the city. The restaurant was not good so we went away from the hotel 2 times a day to eat. Which is a shame cause we came to stay in the hotel and relax.
The hotel was beautiful. The beach was nice and secluded.

PolandLies, lies and lies. If general management of the hotel treats costumers this way, we can not expect any better behave from staff who just clean rooms or fulfill mini bars. Don’t you agree? This situation proves, that no one can feel SAFE in this hotel. What do we expect from vacations as tourists apart from sun and the nice beach? Safety and comfort. Unfortunately you don't find it in Naay Boutique Hotel Holbox.
I must admit, that my visit in Naay Boutique Hotel Holbox for my birthday was very nice till I have discovered on the ferry back home, that me and my friend were robbed in the hotel room. One of the hotel staff who filled mini bar in our room, has stolen 700USD from my wallet and 100USD from my friend’s wallet. Both wallets were kept safely in the suitcases in wardrobe. We were convinced, that such a situation in 5 stars hotel wouldn't be possible, but unfortunately it has happened in NAAY BOUTIQUE Hotel Holbox on 22nd of March this year. It is impossible to have staff in the hotel who steal money, who steal anything from the guest’s room. I have informed immediately the hotel management about this situation and I received message from the hotel management ....15 days later: "Hello, good morning, no refund or compensation applies because the chata reading has not shown any extra income to the room." Unfortunately someone from hotel management is lying. When we checked in, we decided to changed the room from grand floor to the second floor. In our new room, the mini bar was empty. So please explain to me, how possibly mini bar in my room which was empty while I arrived, few hours later was full?? Who did it? Probably the Holbox ghost, because according to hotel management, no one entered my room. They forgot about another accident as well, that during my visit the key system didn't work correctly, my key didn't work either and I had to ask receptionist to open my room with his master key....., but of course "the chata reading has not shown any extra income to the room".
