The private balcony rooms can be a little loud during the day around 3pm when all of the tour boats let off, but after 8 pm everything ends abruptly and that section of the boardwalk is nearly silent except for the seals barking.

We stayed in a private room with a balcony. The view was fantastic! The rooms were clean and spacious, and the shower pressure was excellent. I loved the activities and the vibe. The breakfast is totally worth adding since it has vegan options and was always good.

They stick to their 3.00 pm check in policy, Even if the beds available, they make guests wait to 3.00pm to check in. They could be a little fexible especially in low season when beds are empty. Just as a customer service

Everything was great! Only think I may have liked is some hooks or something to hang my jacket/towel by the locker or a small shelf (not locked) for small items. Being in a top bunk made it hard to just hang up my hoodie or keep toiletries within easy access without opening the locker or pulling out my whole bag.

The place is amazing, it has really Nice vibe, cool pool and bar. Rooms are spacious and confortable beds. Staff is great and very helpful. Internet is pretty good.

My first experience staying in a hostel at Mayan Monkey exceeded all expectations! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the fantastic location, delicious food, and outstanding staff. The hostel's location couldn't have been better, with easy access to all the attractions and landmarks I wanted to explore. Being centrally located made it convenient to navigate the city and soak in its vibrant culture. The food at the hostel was a delightful surprise. The hostel's kitchen staff ensured that guests were treated to flavorful and satisfying meals, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to my stay. What truly set apart was its exceptional staff. Friendly, welcoming, and always willing to go the extra mile, they made me feel right at home from the moment I stepped through the door. Whether it was providing local recommendations, organizing group activities, or simply sharing stories. As a first-time hostel guest, I couldn't have asked for a better experience than what I found at Mayan Monkey. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and enriching accommodation option in Los Cabos. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! It needs a larger pubic restroom in the common area. The bathrooms were ofter occupied and as a coed, privacy was an issue.

It had a good vibe. The guests were travelers who understood the rules, but also some non travelers who did not.

I liked it all! One recommendation for guests - bring some sort of shower shoe for bathing & walking around the dorm rooms if you book a shared space.

So happy with the atmosphere and hostel staff. I had an amazing time meeting people during the Christmas holiday & the hostel staff did an amazing job providing a group dinner experience on Christmas Eve. I high recommend this location for solo travellers. The vibes are great!! All it takes is a "hi" to connect with others and make new friends for life! Don't be shy!! Thank you, also, to the volunteer, Mark, that cultivated great energy with us travellers, reading our tarots and opening our hearts to share in deeper conversation!

The pool is a bit cold

Everything was very good, the hostel is very clean, perfect location directly in the Marina, we can meet wonderful people, safe place, excellent staff very friendly, special mention to Alejandro and Cesare. Very good breakfast, I totally recommend this place to spend a good vacation in Los Cabos.

It was really noisy cause it's right above stores and they open up stores at 7am and that was awful .....the dive guys came in at 6:45 cause all the cruise ships come here so not a quiet hotel.

It’s a fun party hostel but the music can be quite loud in the rooms so bring earplugs if you’re looking for an early night

The staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Ravi, Ivon, and Jeni and all the other staff members who made my stay so wonderful. Great facilities, really yummy food and awesome vibe. I hope to be back one day!

Music plays all the time and it is a little loud. The room itself did smell a little moldy. It was clean so not sure exactly where the smell came from, I suspect the A/C.

Location was great. Easy check in. Beautiful outside space with a nice bar. They have activities regularly that are a nice bonus, like cooking lesson and cocktail lesson. The rooms were big with two comfortable beds and a nice size shower and bathroom.

The price is super affordable for the hostel. The staff are extremely friendly. I even made friends with them during my 5-day stay. The breakfast is a must when you stay there. It includes fruit, oatmeal, milk, and a main dish. Everything is delicious and sometimes I can even skip lunch! The location is also perfect. It is right inside the tourist area. Overall, if you come to Cabo San Lucas, you should definitely consider Mayan Monkey!
