Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The hostel is very well located. It has a small pool to cool off. Make sure you choose the dorm with air conditioning during the hot season. I did not and I was not able to sleep as it was SO hot and there is no air circulation :-/

Dorms have awful triple bunks. The cheaper one has too many bunks.The more expensive one has more room but you would not want to stay if either was near full. I doubt that the hostel is busy.

The hostel has a nice outside area, you can cook in the kitchen, I have met outstanding people there, the location within the historic center is perfect. The bed could have more space, you can not sit there. But after all I was happy here

People smoking in common areas and inside building. Was quiet so not overly social

The dorm room was too hot for me ,only a ceiling fan and without a/c , i was in my own sweat, it was just about ok without the thin sheet but leaves you open to mosquitos unfortunately
Lovely staff, nice communal area with a small pool, free coffee from 0730, good location.

On the website I read they had air-con but once there, I was asked an extra fee to be assigned a bed in a air conditioned room.. not so clear on the website when booking.. pool was not accessible
I liked the staff: very helpful and kind... I liked how the kitchen was furnished and equipped, showers were cool.. exactly what u want after a day spent under the baking sun..

The beds are really close to each other. So even though I'm quite small, my head was bumping against the bed above me. Also, the bunk beds are three beds, rather than two, so that makes quite a lot of people for a small room. The beds are also not the most it is still OK to sleep in.
The hostel is pretty close to the main attractions in Campeche, and you have everything you need around, a lavatory and a shop if you need a cold drink or a snack. The old town is also pretty small, so everything is fairly close to the hostel. The little pool area is really nice when it gets really hot. However, the water was also quite hot, so it wasn't much of a cooling down moment, but it was still enjoyable.

One day the receptionist just left mid-day and people arriving could not get in, especially if they didn't have a mexican SIM to call.
Good location. They provide water. I could leave my luggage on the last day.

Personally, I wasn't the biggest fan of the beds, as they had this plastic cover underneath which made moving a bit louder, together with a sqeeky door, it felt a bit busy during the night.

The hostel staff should take more care that during the sleeping time (10 PM-7 AM), nobody should make too much noise in the kitchen, which is directly at the dorm. During our stay it happened twice that some guest dusturbed the other, sleeping guests with big noise in the early morning hours in the kitchen with TV.

I only saw 2 shared bathrooms (maybe there are others somewhere else?) This was fine while I was there as there weren't many people, but might not be enough when the place is full?
The courtyard around the pool was very nice and chilled to relax. Lockers in the main reception for everyone and friendly, helpful staff. Graciasssss

The stuff didn't speak a word english but was still very friendly and helpful.
I stayed only 1 night but really liked the hostel and would definitely recommend it. The location is nice, it has nice big rooms with comfi beds, nice showers and backyard, water, lockers and it was locked in general during the day and evening. Also a very pretty house and they allowed me to leave my bag there for the next day until late night when my bus left.

There are bunk bed with three floors, luckly the hostel was pretty empty when I got there so I got a bottom one, but I wouldn't have been happy to sleep on the top one it also looked a bit unsafe. The matress wasn't really comfortable and I had the feeling the material of the sheets was really synthetic (not nice if there Is 30°C outside)
The building is really beatiful, with a nice garden and pool. Also the showers and toilets are nice and clean

Two toilets/showers are not always enough for the whole hostel Check-in times don't match
The hostel has a really goof vibe, it's located comfortably close to the city center, the staff was friendly and helpful and I liked the equipment (garden, hammocks) - it's quite nicely made
