Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe rooms are very small, even for one person. If you are not a princess, it will be just fine. For 2 people, you will feel crammed however,
Great price for a very well located private room. Beds were comfortable. Facilities were clean.

United StatesMy biggest challenge was not being sure which building it was at because there were no outdoor signs saying "Mini Rooms by Illusion". Some of the showers did not have good hot water. The elevator was broke to the roof top pool. There was some confusion about me paying the local tax through booking.com and not needing to pay again.
I travel solo a lot and stay at hostels most of the time. Mini Rooms offered a private cozy space for the same price! I wasn't sure what to expect but this hotel was fantastic. The room was the perfect size, and very comfortable. I loved the personal room ceiling fan. I used it for cooling down and it was great white noise for sleep. The owner and staff went above and beyond, and were SO friendly. The owner even made a personal visit to my room when my daughter could not get ahold of me on the phone, so she called Mini Rooms by Illusion and he compassionately helped to alleviate her fears by finding me and making sure all were ok. They even shared some of their meal with me one night. Most staff spoke some English, and the owner spoke it perfectly. The whole place is well designed and feels more expensive then it is. The location is FABULOUS, and I walked everywhere I needed to as it was close to the bus, touristy areas, the center plaza, restaurants, bars, a mini mart, and major retail stores. I was there late November to December and the place was nice and quiet.

MexicoI stayed 4 night but I got hot shower only 1 day. It takes time to come out hot water about 3-5 min and sometimes only come out normal temperture water.
Your should understand that the room is very small. However, they always keep very clean and have towel and body soup and shampoo. Very close to beach and a bus terminal. The rooms are undergrand floor but they have very good ventilation. Good wifi.

CanadaIt would be really nice to have access to a large water container on site for refilling our water bottles instead of having to buy multiple plastic water bottles. I may have missed this but I didn't see it anywhere. The only other thing that I didn't love was the light that enters the room through the vent in the door. If you are a light sleeper, bring an eye covering and ear plugs.
This is a great place and we loved the concept! Cheap and comfortable. Good location. Hot shower. Friendly staff that went above and beyond to help us out. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

United KingdomAs mentioned they're finishing the toilets so at the moment the only way to get into a ladies loo is past the urinals - but been told that will be changed shortly. Once that's all done I think you can't compare anywhere else in PDC for a budget stay
This is obviously brand new and they're still working on finishing the shared facilities so I think it will be perfect once done. The rooms were immaculate, super quiet, shared areas cleaned regularly. I stayed at the hostel opposite first and this was only 20 dollars more over all and you can't compare the difference in the nights sleep! The staff were also super nice/helpful. Coffee in the morning too.

United KingdomThe property is bookable despite being a building site. There were bits of building material everywhere, but the worst part was that they were using paint, varnish and paint stripper during the afternoon and evening when people would have been most likely to be in their rooms, with no warning, no extraction fan or anything. The rooms are underground with 0 ventilation and windows, even the fan/air con in the rooms is just from the air in the hallway. When I said to the receptionist this was unhealthy as it absolutely stunk and there is 0 ventilation and asked if he had any alternatives, he just shrugged and said no. And when pushed if we could have a refund he said we could go to the roof and wait for it to pass. We couldn't stay there in the end and checked in somewhere else. The staff member then lied to booking.com and said he had offered us an alternative room.
Absolutely nothing - the property was a building site and the staff were unhelpful. The only good thing was the price, but that was soon explained by the fact the property is terrible and a rip off.

United KingdomThe price at the hotel was more than booking.com said it would be, even considering tax. The hotel said it was 1000 pesos for 2 nights whereas booking.com said it was around 800 pesos including tax. The hotel did not budge on this and when I asked them to break down the price, they could only do so in Spanish despite otherwise speaking English to me, so I had to pay the higher price. The rooms really are tiny, consisting only of the bunk bed and about an additional 1m gap - would be quite cramped for two people. There is a grating in the door through which people could potentially look through (if they were really crouched on the ground) - unlikely but still made me feel a little unsafe. The rooms and bathrooms facilities are all located in the basement and there is no A/C in the rooms, only a fan, so it was a little hot. The fan wasn’t that cooling and was quite noisy but meant that you didn’t hear any other noise. There was a fair bit of construction work in the basement where the rooms are. Although the showers and toilets were generally clean, they smelled a bit. The Wi-Fi didn’t work very well in the rooms but did in the lobby on the ground floor. The place was hard to find - it is actually located in the same building as BFH attraction hotel, which you can find on Google Maps.
I was staying alone so this was a decent option for a cheaper room to myself. Tiny room but fine for sleeping in, comfortable enough. Surprisingly clean room and bathroom facilities - separate showers and toilets and sinks are communal. They let me store my luggage and were responsive by messages beforehand.
