Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesFront desk manager rushed us out on last day. Our check out time was 12noon and our transportation pickup time to the airport was at 230pm. The manager was quick to cut our bracelets and told us we couldn't be on the property anymore and we couldn't have lunch. She stated that our package only included breakfast so we could not have lunch. That was not communicated to us at all. We did not know about this and did not have breakfast. We slept in and had planned to have lunch after checkout and then leave. Communication should have been better.
The property was beautiful! Perfect location for relaxation. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was great!

United StatesWe rejected the first 2 rooms in building 5 as they smelt terrible, like a mix of pesticide and mold. The showers were not clean enough either. The 3rd room in building number 2 was great - however upon closer inspection although VERY clean, there was evidence that it needed to be updated, especially the bathroom - which had terrible lighting and water damaged wood/base boards. It just seemed like the room was tired, the trash can was damaged and chips in the paint floor - it needed a little facelift in some areas. The curtain over the wardrobe had mold on the bottom of it. The aircon was a little noisy and freezing. The Italian restaurant was just OK - one pasta was good, one terrible. The anti-pasta at start was nice.
The Staff were all amazing, friendly and happy - very attentive. The breakfast buffet at Malva was awesome, especially the omelets. Both pools were lovely - but much preferred the smaller Reserve Pool - it made the vacation. The Food Truck for lunch was great food. The Asian restaurant and the Ginger Bar were lots of fun and the food was good. I loved the gardens of the resort and the beautiful views from the pools and Ginger Bar. Everything was clean and attended. The pool staff worked extremely hard to ensure everyone had a drink and had fun! The mini bar was great in the room and so was the fact that the TV has Comcast so you could cast Netflix etc... from your iphone.

United StatesYou guys need bigger bars TVs on the bar to swim up bar needs TVs so people can watch their favorite games or their favorite music videos. Also the pool closest too early we've been in other resorts or they'll close that pool at 9:00 or 10:00.
The staff was really friendly and always willing to help.

United StatesWe felt the hotel was under staff in certain areas. The check-in process took way too long due to the lack of staff at the front. The same occurred at the swim up bar and restaurants. The constant waiting rained our experience. We also felt with the quality of hotel that there would be better options than bottom shelf. We are in Mexico and only had two tequilas to choose from.
We loved the detail and design put into the hotel. We loved the beach access & beach bar. The restaurants were delicious.

United StatesThe pool was not heated. I’ve never been to a resort in Cabo that didn’t have a heated pool. Pretty ridiculous for the price they are charging. The food was average at best with the exception of the Palapa restaurant.
The service was good. The people were helpful and friendly.

United StatesMold grew in our room causing us to move rooms. The second room started the same growth. We were told it was due to the humidity, but we expected more from a claimed 5 star. Also the facility is nice, but not a true five star.
The view was stunning and the staff was great most of the time. Due to either shortages of workers or other reasons unknown to us, we did have long wait times for food service and maintenance.

United StatesCheck-in process at the reserve was a production and I would have liked it to be more streamline. The overall value for only 4 nights just isn’t there. We had 4 people, at a little over $4000 a couple for 4 nights. I would gladly pay $4000 a couple for a whole week, but not 4 nights. There was a group that checked in at the reserve, at the same swim up ocean front that we were staying in. The hotel already plays outdoor music, but they thought they’re music was better and needed to be played louder on their portable speaker. This disrupted the pool guests AND the La Palapa guests, but hotel staff did not put a stop to the disruptive behavior.
The swim outs facing the ocean at the reserve were nice, a little wear and tear, but overall nice! The food at all locations was delicious. The staff poolside and the staff in the restaurants were attentive and courteous.

United StatesThe Concierge never answered my questions during the entire stay and only wanted to make restaurant reservations. In addition, he was overly obsequious and touchy to my body. Some food was great (tacos on beach) some was weird (full wine glasses of sake? Not a big deal though.) View was terrific. Location was good. Hard to navigate resort. Adult area terrific!! There should be pickup from airport and WARNING about where to pick up transport and avoid timeshares!
Architecture. Location. Adult area!! All-inclusive.

CanadaAside from breakfast buffet, restaurant food was average. Garden view room does not face the beautiful internal gardens of the resort, instead faced a service road outside of the property.

United StatesRooms were very clean, but they are a bit small and a little dated. Not terrible by any means, just could have been a little roomier and nicer. You aren’t hanging out in your room all day, so it’s not a big deal, but for the price I would expect a little more there.
The Beach and pool are nice and the staff is very friendly. The food is very good at all restaurants. I have read comments saying the food is terrible, and that’s not true. I would pay to eat at Tokimeku if it were a regular restaurant in my hometown.

United StatesI didn't think the concierge service was worth the cost. We had this service in Dominican at the same hotel name & it was a much better experience then the one we experienced in Cabo. I would most likely not add that to my reservation again.
The staff was VERY friendly. Luis Garcia at the pool was fabulous. We moved around the pool with him everyday! The grounds were very clean as well. Rooms were great and beds comfortable!

NetherlandsVery average all inclusive resort for how much they charge. Please save your money and book something else. The staff looks like they dont want to be there, all the restaurants have extremely average food, breakfast buffet hardly had anything, not even a decent live counter. We didnt get a welcome drink while some others did, no one gave us tours or explained about the facilities much, in spite of reminding them before hand of our anniversary nothing was orrganized, they said they would send a bottle of wine but forgot! When we reminded them - they sent a guy who poured two glasses of wine for us and took the bottle back to the restaurant !! Watered down alcoholic drinks that were served in water glasses most of the time. The cocktail recipes were so off we just gave up after a while. No real wine selection at the Italian restaurant!! All of the wines were were the cheap ones that dont even have the corks in it lol, just twist and serve.
Accessible beach, good coffee, good view!

United StatesThere was a faint sewage order that would only be noticeable in the bathroom or walking some of the interior water ways.
