Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaWe were disappointed that neither our adjoining family rooms had a balcony or outdoor space for privacy. Our TV did not work in either room. Beds were ok, but could be upgraded with better bedding and additional blankets for the unexpected cool weather that occurred during our trip.
Staff was extremely friendly and were helpful where they could be. The beach is rocky, but enjoyable. Staff would bring chairs to the beach when requested. The hotel bathrooms and kitchenettes have been recently upgraded. The restaurant had a number of good options, and is convenient with excellent service.

United StatesOur room, 406 had a raw sewage smell during our visit. The staff fixed our sink the was backed up. It helped a little.
It was quiet during our stay. Appreciated the stove in our room even though we didn’t use.

CanadaWe had the only key to the room therefore difficult to have housekeeping in but this is not the fault of the hotel as the previous guests left with the other keys. The room had a bit of an odour at sometimes during the day but I think this is just to do with the pipes or something. I don't think it is anything that is fault of the hotel. Pool is cold but very nice and deep- refreshing. I liked it but some may prefer something else.
Location is great for access to Conchas Chinas beach. Excellent water front view. Amazing sunsets. Short taxi to town about 100 pesos one way. Staff were very nice 10/10 for staff.

Hong KongNot good value - paid way too much . First room had tv an aircon not working . Changed room . Water took a long time to ‘ come down the mountain . Fixtures and fittings basic . Beach isn’t usable - tiny and huge waves at all times . A good 25 minute walk to the main beach which we did enjoy . Also no one knows where is it as it’s had a name change . Photographer wore rose tinted glasses.
Very quiet location - got loads of sleep . When room was cleaned , great . Good restaurant adjacent to property. Lovely sea views. Friendly desk staff .

CanadaOverpriced. Hotel is older, and the only thing going, for it is the location. The coffee maker didn’t work, I had to get another one from another room, they do not provide coffee or filters, the pictures showed a lounge chair on balconies, but there was no lounge chair on mine. No comfortable chairs to sit in on the balcony, there are patio chairs, and a table which are not good for sitting on for a long period of time. Overprice hotel for very few amenities. Only one channel on the TV. It advertises soundproof rooms, but they are not. I could hear people talking behind the wall behind my bed, and their air conditioner, kicking in at night. And if you have noisy neighbours in the balcony next to you, or underneath your balcony, then it is a problem. I thought the hotel was adults only and the Airbnb condo. Below me had a young family with a toddler, making noise at Aiden a.m. in the morning in the cool off pool. I came to hear the sound of the waves, and to have a peaceful experience.
The location, oceanfront, being able to hear the waves

United StatesIt took 30 minutes to find somebody to check me in. The hotel was an absolute dump. The facilities were almost nonexistent. There was no chairs at the pool that you could relax at. The same is true about the beach. They had palapas is but no chairs to sit on.
The location of this hotel was the only thing I liked about it

United StatesThis would have been a deal breaker had we known it before. NOTE: The restroom doesn't have a door. This is, for many people, including us, is a big NO. We do not understand the hotel's decision not to include a door to the toilet. Beyond the respected privacy, it's the smells. We tried to switch rooms but were told all rooms had no doors to the restroom/shower.
The room has balcony overlooking the private beach, and we slept like babies with the sounds of waves. It was a quiet place, and with the hot tub on the balcony, it provided us with that perfect vacation much needed. The staff is super friendly, and they clean your room no matter when you leave it during the day.

Ukraine- Our room still had trash from the previous guests. The trash can was full of newspapers and something in the bottom with maggots in it. - Our bathroom still had the sand from the previous guests, it was not thoroughly cleaned. It had some small plastic things on the floor. - The kitchen smelled terrible like cigarettes. - The walls between the rooms are very thin. You can hear other people talking in their rooms. - When I injured my foot at the beach, we turned to the restaurant manager asking if they have a medical kit. He offered us a lime, as the "medicine that heals everything". - The medical kit at the reception had other people's blood in one of the bottles.
- The hotel has access to the beautiful Conchas Chinas beach full of rocks that stop the waves and create a nice space for snorkeling. - The hotel is a walking distance from Downtown Puerto Vallarta.

ItalyTowels were old and fringed. Also, quantity was limited to 2 per room, we couldn't get a 3rd one for our kid. Same goes for the beach towels. Very old and limited quantity. At times, they had no clean ones at the reception. Room was big and a marvelous view of the ocean, but had an old feeling to it. It could be easily vamped up by adding modern furniture. Room description on Booking was misleading. It made me believe the hotel had a jacuzzi when in reality there are some rooms with a private jacuzzi. When we inquired about moving to a room with a jacuzzi, owners' answer wasn't much accommodating, and simply reminded us of the non refundable clause of the reservation. It could have been a language thing, but I feel their staff was much more accommodating and friendly.
Great location, right on a semi-private beach ideal for kids. Close to the Centro and Zona Romantica but far enough to be quiet and shielded by the craziness of those areas. Hotel has the potential to be 5 stars, but needs to be renovated. They have many different rooms to choose from. Staff was excellent. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and after couple days everyone knew us and made us feel like friends, literally.

Canadathey chose our week to do construction on a patio that happened to be just above us. plus the pool was closed but thankfully they opened a suite with a pool for guests. would have liked a toaster in kitchenette. Maybe a starter package as we’ve had at other locations with coffee, tea, cream , sugar for first morning. washing dish liquid and towels.
the view from the room is amazing. we upgraded to deluxe and had jacuzzi.

MexicoToo many stairs with no hand rails. in order to stay out on the balcony you need to turn off the ac because it’s noisy and blows out hot air. I did not like that the entrance was down in a gully bc some of the taxi drivers didn’t want to go down so far. toilet was so low to the ground you are practically sitting on the floor. construction on roof of restaurant directly outside our balcony door.
