Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe hotel is in a great location. The architecture and art are eccentric and bold. The staff were friendly, and upgraded the room without explanation, perhaps due to a strong musty odor, which was also true of our upgraded room. The rooftop pool appeared to be half full, so perhaps there was a water leak going on? Hot water was slow to arrive, and at times did not arrive at all, especially concerning in drought like conditions. Central location is great, although be aware that Loreto is busy and noisy at night, at least on the weekend we were there.

United StatesWe've stayed once before. There's nothing to dislike.
This historic hotel has Mexican architectural charm, is filled with antiques and paintings, and has the feel of a Mexican hacienda. The location on the Loreto square is ideal for the tourist.

United KingdomFelt as if needed some modernisation. Bedding curtains etc. Was cold with draught coming through gaps in windows but got an extra blanket on 2nd night. Staff seemed a little distracted.
Great location in main square and near to Malecon. Interesting and quirky building. Large Room and was quieter than expected even though on main square as Loreto doesnt seem to go on late

United KingdomTerrible breakfast. A shame as it is an expensive hotel. Coffee was bad. Very surly waitress. Room very ordinary with 2 single beds with a huge wooden base that stuck out and very liable to catch your leg on.
Location is great. The roof bar is fantastic. Reception staff very helpful Nice coffee shop nearby which serves proper latte and cappuccinos

South AfricaThe room is FREEZING COLD AND THERE ARE NO HEATERS. Had to ask twice for extra blankets. The breakfast is PATHETIC TO SAY THE LEAST. Come on guys. Fix these two things and I’ll score you a 10. It’s otherwise lovely.
Character property. Old boutique Spanish hotel with incredible atmosphere and arty rooms. Friendly staff.

United StatesThe staff of this hotel are top notch! The hotel is charming and comfortable. There is no elevator, be prepared to walk up or down stairs for everything. The pool on the top floor provides beautiful views of the city. The only drawback was that the in-room AC was hard to control and resulted in being either too cold or too hot during the night. But, the kindness and helpfulness of the staff more than made up for it. Shout out to Kevin, the waiter, who was amazing!

United StatesThe pool is not something you would get into - it’s more like a decoration and should not be listed as a pool, it would be better declared a wading pool.
The aesthetics, location and staff are great.

MexicoIncluded breakfast had only fruits and toast with jam, but it was ok. The biggest disappointment was the receptionist recorded complete data of my credit card in the Notepad on the PC for "guarantee" purposes. Well, when I saw that (and dozens of other credit cards), I requested to delete my info immediately. She did. Extraordinary policy. I don't think it was for a different purpose, and we really enjoyed staying there, but I completely disagree with such a process.
We liked its nice interior design (roman style), its terrace on the roof, and its location on the main square. The spa salon on the same square was outstanding.

United StatesLighting, heat.
Breakfast was fine. I am not a big breakfast person so yogurt, fruit and toast was plenty. The toast was excellent, and jam wonderful. Cold and windy while we were in Loreto, not hotels fault and they gave us a blanket when asked, but check the temps and do not assume it will be bathing suit weather. We were wearing our thermals, which was a bit overkill, but it made us comfortable with winds and low temps. Music was great, the hotel is an old traditional Mexican hotel which we loved. Lighting was poor so bring another reading light if you are a book reader, like us.

United StatesFirst room we stayed in was extremely uncomfortable due to a club / live band event happening behind the hotell with loud music till 3 AM. At 7 AM the hotell staff started moving furniture/ cleaning which made resting impossible. We basically had a 4 hour night sleep Also there where several pumps and water lines / systems starting , humming, at various times throughout the evening and morning. We asked for a different room and where given the only option available , an upgrade for a surcharge to a junior suite. No other standard rooms where available The suite was better from a noise perspective. Much bigger, but also much more $$ . Second morning breakfast was arbitrarily canceled by the hotel. Staff informed us at 8 AM that they will only serve brunch for additional $$ . No breakfast available - period - orders from manager....?!? This hotell is systematicaly ripping off it's clients by offering low quality products or completely cancelling services previously paid for . There is no refund or compensation offered for the poor quality product or canceled service commitment. Wi-Fi is another rip-off. It only works at front desk lobby area. Pool not functional Upstairs bar not open. No heating in rooms makes staying uncomfortable in winter months. All this for 200 - 300 USD PER NIGHT !!
This is a great colonial style replica hotel with beautiful decor and awesome feel. The rooms where clean The beds , pillows comfortable. Sheets and towels of superior quality and cleanliness. Bathroom and toiletries are exceptional.

United Statesit was cold in late January and the rooms were very cold, the blankets were thin and it took a very long time to get hot water running in the shower. the rooms are dark and the lighting is dim.
Posada de las Flores is a beautiful property at the center of town, close to the beach and tourist shops. The design and decor are traditional hacienda style. The continental breakfast is included and is delicious and healthy.

United StatesLighting was too dim to read a book. It is designed to look rustic, but nonetheless a little on the dim side. No internet. There is internet, but too weak to make a connection. Very disappointing given that a premium price is paid for this hotel.

United StatesOur only complaint was the quality of the food at the continental breakfast, but it was totally fine and tided us over until our next meal. Oh, and they don't have WIFI in the rooms, but the rooftop and lobby WIFI are great and they let us stay there using it for hours after checkout.
We loved Posada De Los Flores. The location is perfectly situated in downtown. The staff were thoughtful and helpful. The whole property is gorgeous, the rooms are spacious and open, and the view from the rooftop deck is wonderful.
