Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyAll good
Small Room but absolutely fine. Walking distance to City Center. It gets cold in the morning and evenings, so a warm shower is best to take in the afternoon. The owner gott me a lift to the El Chepe Station for 100 mx$

United KingdomThe owners were very nice, they let me check-out later until my afternoon train ride and were very helpful with information. I think the room is nicer in person as well.

GermanyThe accommodation was simple, rustic and very clean, which was exactly what I liked. The Interior is partly hand-crafted out of the wooden pallets. In Berlin, Germany where I come from, this is very trendy, because it’s chique and sustainable upcycling. It fits perfectly with the brick wall.

New ZealandRoom is small, but enough for me.
Excellent location, friendly owner, nice and clean, cold air con (and it's needed!), working wifi, and cheap. What more could you want?

NorwayThe bathroom is quite small. Otherwise all good!
Cosy hotel in a quiet street, yet close to the center of El Fuerte. The host was friendly, and the room was basic but nice; AC worked well and it was useful to have a fridge in the room.

United KingdomWatch out for the mozzies, they bite :-(
I arrived off an overnight bus at 08:30 and the owner immediately cleaned my room so I could check in and have a shower. She was also able to arranfge a transfer the next day to the train station for the Chepe train. The photos don't do the room justice as they are actually quite bright and come with both air con and a fan so you have the choice. The bed was comfortable, WiFi worked well and the shower good and hot.

FranceThe floor is a little painful because it is made of pebble, though it’s beautiful
Beautiful discovery arriving at this hotel! The room was very pretty, cozy, well decorated and clean. one of the nicest room we’ve had during our trip. The owners were very sweet and friendly. They offered to drive us to the train station, for a small fee, allowing us to avoid more expensive taxi.

United StatesOnly two small points: the shower is very narrow so it's hard to turn around in, and there was no bath mat. Normally not a big deal, but the floor is made up of pebbles (free acupressure!). The following wasn't a problem for me, but the room might be too small for some people, even if you're by yourself; I enjoy small spaces so it was perfect.
Omar knows everything. I ask a lot of questions, and he answered every one. He even gave me a ride to the El Chepe train station when the taxi didn't come. He is nothing short of amazing! I will definitely be back - not sure when, but there are hot springs not too far away that I must visit, and the town of El Fuerte is really awesome.

MexicoThe bathroom is very pretty, but too small. When you sit on the toilet, your feet are in the shower, no room to put your stuff while you shower. Too tight.
It was very clean and cozy. It has air conditioner fabulous. The kitchenette was handy and the decoration nice.

MexicoNO see-ums. Not a town we were too impressed with even though it's a Pueblo Magico. Certainly has character and it seems as if things are being improved.
Road was all dug up out front. Omar the owner was great. We said the construction situation was unacceptable, as we needed secure parking and couldn't enter the property. He gave us cash back to cover the amount he was receiving. We ended up driving to Los Mochis and found a hotel to stay in there. The midges, no- see-ums were terrible in El Fuerte. Never had so many bites. Not on the top of my list of Pueblos Magicos. I have visited 36 out of 134 of them.

United StatesThere is a rooster that crowed for hours and hours until sunrise for the 3 nights that we were there. I do not think Omar the owner could do anything about the rooster noise because it's on someone else's property.
