Our room's boiler was rather iffy. Showers ran hot for about two minutes, then cool, then returned to lukewarm. I suspect this varies from room to room (i.e. boiler to boiler), but you might want to check your water before you settle in.

This is good accommodation in Cuetzalan. The building itself is huge, flowing down the hillside in layer after layer. We were at the bottom, which was fine but wouldn't be great for anyone with an issue with stairs. The room was spacious though rather barely furnished (bedside tables and lights would be helpful). The location is also good, about a fifteen-minute walk downhill to the heart of town, and a bit of a steep slog back. The on-site restaurant does excellent breakfast packages for 100 pesos, and there are laundry services in-house as well. Staff are uniformly friendly and helpful. Internet connectivity is very good. Overall a fine deal.

The photos made it look a lot fancier than it really was. The architecture is really interesting, the entrance is at the top and then there are various levels going down the hillside.

Hot water was good and hot but ran out quickly.It is a steep ealk uphill from the centro. The day after an amazing trip to the gruta la garganta...my legs hurt so much that i could barely make it back to the hotel walking.

All was great! You definitely get what you pay for in terms of finishings, but an excellent cost-effective base to explore cuetzalan.

100 pesos breakfast was good - Fruit, pastries, enchiladas and eggs. Free coffee all day. Great value for money.

The bathroom doesn't have a door which can be uncomfortable to use. They didn't clean it during our stay.

Location is excellent. The view is amazing and it's very close to centro in a walking distance. The room is comfortable, there is hot water and the bed is great.

Rooms are very basic. Bathroom only has curtains, no doors. As a solo traveller it was no problem but when you share the room with more people it might be inconvenient. The room did have an odd smell (like old furniture) which didn't go away, even though the window was open all day. Location is up on a hill, so be aware it's quite an uphill walk if you come from the center of town (10min).

Great place to stay if you visit Cuetzalan. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Whenever I needed something, they would make sure it was provided. The rooms on the ground floor (205/206)have the best views. Very spacious and clean rooms. If you're looking for something peaceful and quiet, than I would recommend this place. All of Cuetzalan town was very safe to walk around.

I didn't like that I could only stay one night this time! Next time I will stay longer!

This is simply one of the most enchanting places I've ever stayed. It's a secret hideaway, it's a bit like staying in a tree house, it's like sleeping in a dream. The view is spectacular, the service friendly, courteous, and welcoming. Every inch is sparkly clean. The restaurant serves delicious and ample meals. The afternoon coffee is courtesy of the owners, as is morning coffee and pan dulce (sweet bread). Don't miss the Tlayoyos. Delicious! There is a game room and several magnificent terraces, all within walking distance of Cuetzalan's Zócalo. It's a short drive to the archeological site and botanical garden of Youhualichan. Also, nearby are exquisite caves, waterfalls, and endless adventures. The owners and staff are the nicest people you'll ever meet. I will stay here again and again. It's perfect for a long-term stay, which I am seriously contemplating. It is a magical place to stay in the extremely magical town of Cuetzalan, in the state of Puebla. The buttons only allow a ten, but I give this lovely Posada a twenty+. 🥰

It's a little bit far to walk to the town center but that's okay cuz it gives you better exercise and it's fun to return to your hotel up the mountainside.

I wanted to be away from the center of the city and we were farther than I'd imagined. It is downhill all the way to the center and a very pleasant street, but it's uphill all the way back :) If you don't mind the exercise it's fine.
