Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesAn entire day of jackhammering out tile in the room across the hall. It was unbearably loud. Ruined the day!!! I paid for a ocean view room. Looked at an ugly concrete slab in front of the beach. Old and rather run down property with unappealing, minimal landscaping.

CanadaBasically it’s about the rooms. There are some renovations going on - but despite we had a new shower unit - it was very shoddy and dirty. The whole unit was dirty, the towels were literally thread bare. (2 towels, and a bath mat).
Location location location. The staff were mostly super friendly and helpful. Restaurant waiters are awesome. We did not have All Inclusive - but got a 20% discount coupon for buffet dinners. Absolutely fantastic.

ItalyThat I decided to pay extra for all-inclusive in order to avoid going out to look for a restaurant. Too bad we were not informed in advance that the only restaurant in the resort was not open as they were very noisily tearing up the floor. Dinner was served around the pool in the boiling heat.

United Statesoverall vibe, rather depressing. old facility, small crowded pool, small dark, rather depressing dining area, otherwise place looked rather vacant, in mid July. my adult daughter and I ended up leaving after day 2/4 of our stay, opting for a more upscale facility. sad to see the Posada is trying but the much older , dark facility feels struggling and a bit depressing .
location, friendly staff, good AC, and nice water pressure in hot shower

United StatesWhen we checked in, the hotel tried to charge us an extra $300 because of our children. We paid for 2 rooms so it was very confusing. They also gave us the wrong wristbands at first so we had to go and tell them that drinks were included and show proof in our booking email. They were not particularly polite about it.
The location and pool was lovely. Cleaning and serving staff did a great job.

CanadaWe haven't been told that there is a renovation next to our room!! Very loud! Mandatory mask only when you are in the breakfast line-where is the logic when you don't have to wear a mask anywhere else at the hotel. Poor lunch food.

United StatesThe property is older, but not bad
I can’t say enough about the staff- friendly, courteous, helpful. We only stayed 2 nights and liked the location. It’s a low rise building- not an over pompous mega resort. The food is good at the main restaurant - and I think the food at the taqueria by the food is better. Not bad for resort food, though I recommend heading out to SJ del Cabo town for food experience also. They have a freezer to put your fish in if necessary. Was there with my parents who are in their 80s and the low rise layout helped. Keep in mind its a 3 star place. Don’t expect Las Vegas in SJD- this place is old school. Has some deferred maintenance here and there. Close to SJD marina and markets.
