United StatesNice location. Very scenic and offers lots of amenities for the business. Check in was very fast. Housekeeping staff very efficient. The room was very nice, large and had great views. The bed was extremely comfortable with nice large pillows. Restaurant has full service menu and has a wide variety of choices. Staff could have a little better English skills, but we all understood each other. The bar was nice but lacked tonic water and extra dry vermouth. I would definitely stay here again.

United StatesHotel rules indicate pets are not allowed. Unfortunately, a supposably "Support dog" was left unattended in the property on 12/30/24. Our room was next door to one whose owners were out past midnight. The dog kept barking loudly and scratched the door; the dog ran out as soon as the owner opened the room door. Owners started to run and yell after the dog thru hallways; staff had to catch him. Night manager asked them very professionally if they would move to another floor since they had received complaints from all other floor guests as well. They were very upset to do so, but they had just dropped off dog off as soon as they checked in, and their luggage were still unloaded. I could not help but think of the dog with all the New Year's fireworks in the area.
Excellent location with amazing lake views and gorgeous sunset.

United StatesThe WI-FI is so bad - really frustrating if you need to get online. The screens on the windows had rips in them so mosquitoes could enter.
We loved our spacious room overlooking the two pools and Lake Chapala. The beds were comfortable. There is a bar and restaurant steps away - both overlooking the lake and the pools. It is a peaceful retreat for those who may want to recharge and relax.

United StatesThe rooms were spacious but there was not enough lighting without a center ceiling light. With the lamps on, it still felt dark early evening. The restaurant and bar staff were not attentive to the guests. In several occasions, we sat on the patio or in the pool area and waited for them, tried flagging them over, and even sent someone to let them know we would like to order drinks and watched them stand around chatting with each other instead. There was no one in the restaurant at the time and after half hour of no service, we decided to go somewhere else for drinks. Also, the hotel should set up a coffee station for guests in the lobby since the restaurant staff told us there was no coffee after breakfast time.
The front desk staff and the cleaning ladies were excellent, very helpful and polite. The grounds were beautiful, public bathrooms were very clean, and the pool well maintained. Very relaxing stay enjoying the views.

United StatesThe bathroom had very low water pressure. The spa needed maintenance because half of the jets were not working. The receptionist charged me an extra room and fixing that problem took a some extra time.
I liked that one of the pools and the spa had hot water. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable.

BelgiumThey have a mosquito PLAGUE at the hotel. Litterally hundreds of thousands of mosquitos swarming all open areas, especially at night. The hotel looks very outdated. If you're a frequent traveller you will surely be dissapointed by the facilities. We paid 150USD per night, and all it included is the use of the beds. The pool area looks very cheap with their plastic beds and chairs, and the pool water was very cold, even for the kids. Stayed here just to take a one-night rest while travelling elsewhere, so wasnt expecting much. But wouldn't stay there more than 1 night.
Location is OK, nice view of the lake although not that easy to reach. Property is quiet, we had a good night rest. Prices at the bar are very reasonable.

MexicoThe room needs some maintenance. Shower didn't have enough flow of water and the mosquito netting was old and loose. Breakfast buffet was good and with many options. However the quality of food was not good in all of the options. Coffee was not good, Dinner also was not of good quality.
The location is excellent. Gardens are beautiful and well mantained. Pool is also very good. Room is spacious and clean. Many facilities available; restaurant, bar, hot pool, cold pool, jacuzzi.

United KingdomThere wasn't any coffee making facilities in the room and the response was you can order from the bar which wasn't convenient and at 50 pesos plus tip per cup would have been expensive over the 15 days we were there. So we bought a kettle from Walmart which paid for itself in 3 days! There we no English TV channels, the internet was slow at 5MB/s which didn't allow streaming as an alternate to the TV. Unfortunately on the two occasions that we tried the restaurant. the food was cold, mostly due to the use of cold plates for hot food.
Very helpful staff & great location right on Lake Chappala. Large bedroom and overall the hotel was laid out in a spacious manner.

Beautiful location. The best, in fact. It is right on the Lake, in a quiet residential area. Friendly staff trying their best to accommodate your needs. Appreciated the help of Natalia, at the front desk. She went out of her way to try to solve issues. Being able to be woken up by the songs of the birds is priceless...Worth paying a little extra for the Lake View instead of the Garden View rooms

CanadaOverall it is a very nice hotel, and I would stay here again. However, they seemed to have been short-staffed on the day we checked in (Saturday) as many rooms were not available at check-in time (we did get compensated with late check-out), and the service was not great at dinner at the hotel restaurant (and there were not many tables to serve).
The location, view and gardens are great! We also enjoyed the two pools and the nice spacious rooms, as well as the breakfast buffet.

United StatesSafe not working, ac not working , patio door not locking. No coffee maker, no mini fridge, and no ice machine. The front desk was unsmiling and it took them a few days to actually become helpful.
The restaurant food and staff were quite good. The view from our lakeside room was the best in Ajicjic. However, the distance to the central plaza was not conducive to walking and it was very difficult to find taxis or ubers.
