The food in the restaurants besides the Buffett were marginal at best - room service options were a 2 out of 10.

Would love a few nights with Latin dancing - teaching salsa or other Latin style dances. When I travel to Mexico, I don’t always want to hear American cover bands.

The food wasn't good (minus the buffet). Also, each restaurant said they didn't take reservations, but had over an hour wait each night as you put your name in and receive a buzzer to let you know when the table was available. Either start taking reservations or first come, first serve with no line to keep people waiting. Also, someone got my cc# ( foind out alerts for a fraud attempt) after booking an activity with the scuba activity group at the resort.

The facility and activities were great. Location was also ideal. The buffet was decent.

Very clean, beautiful property, and friendly staff. Great views of Medano Beach and the rocks that make up the arch. A lot of selection of food and drink on almost every turn and level of the resort, the entertainment would always find you!!

The food was so-so. Most meats were overcooked. The Japanese restaurant served an ahi tuna that looked and tasted like a pork chop because it was cooked all the way through.

Lack of convenient elevators. Bathrooms near one pool was down stairs. Long walk to anywhere. Put us in a room with no air conditioner knowing the AC was broke. Had to move rooms which was a pain.

Not impressed with management staff. I traveled with a15 yr old and they wore the bracelet that showed underage. Partner served him 14 shits tequila in 1 hour. Almost had to go to ER. I understand and dealt with my child and his choices but i wrote and reported it to management and nothing was done. We continued to have to tell bartenders he's underage and check the drinks because they would add alcohol. Needless to say. Not impressed. Never heard one word from management. Front staff said they would pull tape etc. Nothing heard again even though i asked over and over again.

Wait staff and employees were amazing. Food was really good. Good choices. Location was bueatiful. Drinks really good. Entertainment was good. Rooms were older but response to light switch shortening out was quickly fixed. All in all a good place to stay.

Our initial booking request through Booking.com was not honored. We had booked our kids room with two double beds, and requested their room be near ours. Their room was a couple of minute walk from ours, and had one king sized bed. Since our children are a 21 year old woman and an 11 year old boy that was obviously a problem. They corrected this after the first two days of a 6 day stay. The issue apparently lies with Booking.com - just because booking.com says you have a room with two double beds doesn't mean the hotel takes that as a commitment - just a request. That is very problematic and Booking.com needs to correct that.

The food was excellent! Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had several issues while there (some we created, some due to the facility or booking) and they did everything they could to make it right as quickly as possible.

Our room shower was horrible. The shower in room 4134 wreaked of raw sewage during showers. The odor emanated from the drainage, and it was sickening. We dealt with this disgusting issue, but I strongly urge management to have that drainage issue inspected and resolved. The next guests may not be as forgiving as we were. We also had an issue with a soiled mattress from the pullout sofa in our daughters’ room upon arrival. We were, however, pleased with the responsiveness of the staff who delivered a brand new mattress and frame.

The staff…the hardworking people were exceptional in their attitudes and service. The food options were good too, and the setting was enjoyable.

The location is not walking distance to downtown. They will say here in booking you have 820 to use in the facilities but that is not true. Its coupon for overpriced items. I wish booking.com removes that because its misleading.

There are a lot of pool, food and activity options. The cleaning people are so dedicated. They mop our room every other day. Facilities are older than the other rui palace but its bigger in size.

We are not big drinkers, so I was very disappointed when the bartenders were watering down the drinks. Case in point: I wanted an after dinner drink and asked for Bailey's on the rocks. When the waitstaff returned with the drink it was half Bailey's and half water over ice. It wasn't fit to drink. This happened twice with two different bartenders at two different bars. When I ordered the drink myself and watched the bartender, he then gave me a full shot of Bailey's on ice as I had asked for. I would rather have half a glass, than something watered down and unfit to drink. My adult son said the tap beer was watered down as well. I also think the rooms need updating. The floor and mirrors in our bathroom were very chipped and discolored. There were a lot of tile accent pieces on the walls, near the floor, throughout the room that were missing or chipped. The hotel is not as nice as it was 5 years ago when we stayed there. The pools were missing a lot of tiles too.

The breakfast buffet was excellent. They offered a wide variety of choices and the staff was very attentive and helpful. The food in most of the restaurants was very good. I was impressed with how clean the staff kept everything.

Pool needed some repair. The theater acoustics needed to be better. It would have been nice to have some info ahead of time on taxi fares to certain destinations.
