Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

UkraineConditioning was bad. Imaging on TV was permanently green. But the worst thing is the beds! we had a terrible sleeping experience! The beds were very uncomfortable and narrow. Mattresses shake violently with any movement, making it impossible to sleep with someone. one of my kids slept on the floor because of that, we made a bed for him from sofa pillows
Apart from the uncomfortable mattresses, the overall impression is good. The hotel area was constantly cleaned, the staff was friendly, and offered us an extra mattress. The food was good, the pools were clean, one of them was heated. Warm ocean and fun activities for children and adults, parties, volleyball, ping-pong, drawing classes for children. My advice is not to stay at the hotel all the time, take some tours to diversify your vacation.

SwitzerlandWe personally found it a bit kitsch, with maybe too many drunk american talking very loud. It is always a bit of a risk when you have an illimitate all inclusive with all possible drinks. The room was a bit cold.
The Hotel is nice and (but) very big. It is one of those huge buildings along the Zona Hotelera. The room was big and comfortable, the food in the restaurants very good. The Buffet-Restaurant has an almost infinite amount of choices. The staff was amazing but, being in Mexico, you won't expect less, as people are always incredible friendly and nice.

United StatesNo smart TVs or ability for shows to have English subtitles or any English. This is definitely an expectation of much lower value rooms and something that would keep me from coming back to the Riu. It's not expensive either. The sushi additionally had a very fishy smell, was not edible and was well below expectations.

United StatesThe room didn't match the reservation description or picture, I was described as a junior suit, but it was just a regular room. When addressed with the front desk , I was told that booking.com false advertised ot and that will be addressed. The room was clean but ran down, and the furniture needed some upgrade. Very small TV, no blanket on the bed, sheets only ( had to ask for one) Safe in the room wasn't working, reported 3 times before someone came in to fix it. Many restaurants to choose from, but the food was just ok.
Good location, friendly, hard-working staff, clean, good selection of restaurants, gorgeous views

United StatesArriving to the hotel upon check in my room temperature wasn’t cool enough. I’m used to having my temperature cold even when I travel out the country to other resorts. I thought it was just me but other couples noticed the temperature difference as well. I can’t remember the restaurant name but the made my wife and I sick the next day that we had to travel back home not feeling well. We both had two different meals so we assumed it was that restaurant.
Great location (approximately 20mins from airport). Clean rooms and public restrooms. Pool parties 5 stars especially the Jungle Party (Monday)

United StatesThe pools were too hot
Great staff, very friendly and welcoming. These people work their a** off. Cleaning the facilities and the whole hotel non-stop. Visitors, please tip these people, they work for a minimum wage. There is 24/7 availability of top brands alcohol and food around the clock (watch your diet...) Hotel is on the beach, plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Lots of restaurants to choose, plus a buffet restaurant. After you check out at 11am, you can stay and use all facilities by 5pm-that's a bonus not every hotel would offer you.

United StatesI was disappointed in the fact that there was no early check in. My flight got in at 7 am, and was not allowed to get a room till 3 pm. It would be nice to have been accommodated but I guess it was fully booked. I would have liked to have taken my food to the room, since it is all inclusive. At times, we were tired and just wanted to take a snack up, but you had to sit in to eat the food in the Italian restaurant. Little snacks like chips, and peanuts in the room as well and have better room service options would have given a 10.
Overall, the variety of food and drinks were great. There was a Steakhouse, Japanese, Italian and Mexican Restaurants to choose from as well as the general buffet. The cleanliness of hotel was superb and so was the beach area! All the staff was courteous as well and always around to order drinks from the lounge, pool area and even the beach. Our rooms were cleaned daily and replenished with everything we drank. Our fridge was stocked with water, sodas and dos equis cans. The ojo negros were delicious as well as the baby mango shots!

United StatesThe food was atrocious. RIU really needs to invest in some better food quality. Understand they have a lot of people to feed and many properties but it was borderline inedible. We had a very hard time finding anywhere on the resort to get a meal we enjoyed. We are not picky eaters, but the food is what will keep us from coming back in future stays
Beautiful view, access to drinks everywhere, wonderful staff!

United StatesThere was a very scary and dangerous situation. A drug dealer, who was on the beach, chased a rival dealer onto the property and shot and killed him 25 feet away from the pool area where my girlfriend and I were standing in the pool. It traumatized us and many of the people there who were trying to have a good time. We all had to run back to the building fearing for our lives. I talked to front desk staff and was told that it wasn't their responsibility if someone runs onto the property and shoots and kills someone. They acted as if nothing happened and after the body was taken away by police 90 minutes later, it was business as usual. I felt like they didn't care about the trauma it caused the guests of their resort.
Food, service, entertainment and facilities were excellent. Staff was polite and helpful.
