Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This hostel is a great value for the price, I cannot recommend it enough! Great staff, clean rooms and kitchen, and easy to work with. Plus, they offer free wifi and breakfast each morning

Stuffy room. Because of the other occupants, the room was not more open and was stuffy even though it was windy outside. No light for each bed.
The living room and kitchen were very nice. Bathroom was clean

Lovely little place, great location. I've never stayed in a hostel and expected it to be a bit run down and full of teenagers, but the age range of male and female was quite mixed. The bathroom whilst dated was clean. Carlos, on reception, took me through the basics and was very helpful. They organise excursions etc too. I had the private room, which is just off the lounge, door locked, and bed was foam mattress, so really comfy. Supermarket across the road and the most amazing restaurant just down the street on the corner, yellow building. 5 min walk to downtown and the marina. Lovely little roof terrace to watch the sunset. Kitchen fully equiped and plenty of utensils. It had a nice quiet vibe too. Yes, you could hear residents as it is a hostel, but everyone was really respectful, and it was quite a chilled and serene feeling going on. Just chilling on the sofa didn't feel weird. A really nice place in amongst the madness of Cabo.

Can't open the windows because bugs can get into the apartment but overall very good
The host was great and I loved that I met people from all over the world at this hostel He provided us with breakfast and everyone was very respectful.

My private room and shared bathroom were clean. The room could be aired out a bit more, though, and the bathroom floor constantly wiped dry, or maybe have a mat and a hand towel available :)
I totally appreciated how Mani, the manager/owner was so hands on even from when I just made my booking online :) From his thorough welcome message with complete details on how to get to the property until his warm reception at the hostel upon arrival, I felt very comfortable and not worried about anything at all! The atmosphere is great for getting to know the other guests, especially over breakfast served together. The patio and the rooftop were also great places to either enjoy by yourself or getting to know other travelers. The location was perfect to get to the restaurants, the harbor, the beach, the dive shops, everything! Yet it was also still in a bit more quiet part so you can end and start your day in a more chill manner :)

Maybe the building need some renovations but at the need everything was ok!
Great location next to the main road and the harbour. The staff is super helpful and kind. Breakfast is good!

It is not the most comfortable bed but it works for one night
It is clean and all the other guests respect the rules, it is SUPER close to the main square and the price is super affordable
