Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe room and hostel was hot, stuffy and enclosed. The fan was in the room was extremely loud. The included breakfast was basically sliced bread and jam. Cold shower. Far to walk to any variety of food options.
I liked the relaxing music in the dining room and the spiritual decor. The hostel was located in a pretty quiet residential area. There was plenty of storage space in the room.

CanadaThe pictures looked much better than reality. Our room facing the street had no AC (just fan), no privacy (curtains kind of see through and would not cover the whole window). In the hall, the bedroom next to iurs had thebsame see through curtains..luckly was empty..otherwise it would have been uncomfortable to pass by. Seemed clean for the hours we would stay... washroom had no soap nor handtowel/paper Bread offered for breakfast was moldy ..but the whole area is super humid so don't think it was an oversight... we didn't take any.
My mom and I only stayed under 9 hrs. The place is faaar from downtown but it was close to where we needed to go. The owner was kind enough to wait until late night when we arrived, seemingly check in. Easy check out and independent No issues with the street parking yet not sure how safe the area is.

Austriait's reeeeally basic. the fan is SO LOUD it's impossible to sleep, but without fan it's also impossible due to the heat.. maybe invest in AC or better fans? even though both of the guys working there were nice, i got some weird vibes of the (i think) owner. he wrote me some inappropiate things in Whatsapp (felt like he was trying to flirt), which is not okay and after that I just wanted to leave this place. To be clear: Nothing happened. and I just saw the owner once shortly.
budget single room, clean bathroom, good communication with host (also before arriving) the guy working there (Moises) is really nice and gave me a great recommendation for a vegan restaurant in the area! location is okay, not the nicest area, but didnt feel unsafe a lot of buses leaving in the area

SpainThere isn't a lot of outside space (small enclosed courtyard) and my room was very small, OK for a solo traveller but two would have been a squeeze. Maybe the other rooms are bigger. 🤷🏻
The host was welcoming and friendly. Spoke good English too. I didnt use the kitchen much but it seemed fully equipped. No air con but the provided fans do the job fine. Niño beach is walkable (30 mins) as is the ferry to Isla Mujeres (20 min). Good transport links to downtown and ADO station ( collectivo $10 MXN). The Jaguar restaurant has a good (if somewhat unhealthy) menu and is fairly priced but Aurys Pizza is only 30m from Casa Jaguar, has a similar menu and is much cheaper. There is an area where you can dry clothes and towels. Free fresh coffee every morning. There is also a "Lavanderia" next to Aurys Pizza and a small shop only 100m away which stocks the basics. The shared bathroom was perfect. I enjoyed my stay at 777 Lenderman and would happily stay again.

KazakhstanNo any furniture or even hangers in the room. Breakfast is very, very symbolic - toast, jam and coffee, that's it. Too many signs with any kind of restrictions. Parking is on the street although it was mentioned as private with roof.

United StatesLocation was residential neighborhood but Robert drove us to town, so not a problem.
Owner Robert was very supportive as I was having debit card issues with my bank. Staff Moshe prepared good breakfasts. Reasonable price for private room with bath down hall. Room had fan but I didn't need it. Robert drove me in town each day on his way to work. Comfortable bed. Clean.

PortugalVery far away from town, nothing around, bathrooms/kitchen could be cleaner, no AC but there’s a very very big fan, impossible to sleep with it and without it, is very noisy, but if you turn it off you won’t be able to sleep because of the heat

United KingdomLoud music from the nearby (overpriced) bar in evening however this could be drowned out by the fan on full blast.
Basic but good value for price asked. Friendly guys running it and it does seem to attract interesting, seasoned travellers. Small restaurants and shops nearby. Good WiFi.

SloveniaLocation is quite out of center, cloce to non-touristic docs, but it seems to be safe area. Room was just basic, bed, table and fan. It looked to the main street, so you could hear noise, but also everyone could look into thru the window.
Room is enough big for solo traveler, kitchen is shared with owner. Good price for staying a night or two. Owner also gave me a lift to ADO station, he is anyway very helpful. Internet is working ok. Colectivo Nr. 6 is just passing by to go to city center for 12 PS.

ChinaThe location is probably not ideal. The accommodations are in Puerto Juarez but really only a 35-minute walk to the Starbucks in El Centro. The weather was marvellous, so I didn't mind the stroll in the least.
The accommodations are good value for the money. The premises are undergoing renovations, so the place is clean but being renovated. But quiet.

United StatesLaundry machine (which was unexpected to begin with) wasn't working but there were ample launderias nearby run by locals, it was nice to support their business and very affordable (like 6 dollars for 2 loads dried and folded). 1 shower drain would get backed up but I think they fixed it halfway through. There were a few MAGA hats in the first room in the entryway, that should be noted. At first I was concerned it was a bad omen but staff was wonderful and pleasant, and I'm not sure if I even met the owner of the property. I'm open minded and wasn't going to turn tail and run, but I was a little confused and concerned at first. I tried to take it as a sign that all were welcome there, even if they support a president who is very antagonistic to Mexico, and I did feel welcome.
This was a fabulous deal with a responsive staff. I got my own bedroom, there were two bathrooms so there was always an option. I prefer traveling to less touristy areas and loved so much walking around the area, all the amazing food, great shopping, meeting locals, and taking the ferry at puerto juarez to isla mujeres. There's a beach nearby too! Plentiful, cute, well kept common areas, a beautiful rooftop for star gazing, and the best food 2 blocks away (shoutout to tacos dona eva! Incredible food for incredible prices. Also, galeria de cafe was a wonderful, nearby coffee shop). There was a beautiful lagoon/forest nearby maintained by volunteers, laguna manati, it was such a joy to find. This place is not for every traveler though, and those who are very picky about the places they stay should know that this is maybe not for you. If you need air conditioning, go somewhere else. They provided a powerful fan which was plenty. For me, it could not have been more perfect, and this trip was so much fun and good for my mind and body. Also, they had fast internet for the area which allowed me to nix some unexpected problems with a website I am building before they got out of hand, as well as watch youtube and talk to family. Unbeatable value for the price. THANK YOU!! <3
