Wasn’t a fan of the dorms. No curtains and hardly any privacy. I was unlucky with messy roommates, stuff everywhere

Tribu has a great community and amazing volunteers. The amount and type of activities they organize are unparalleled. There’s something for everyone all day long. Super easy to meet people! If their private rooms would be cheaper I would definitely be back.

You get the bed linen separately and basically have to make the bed yourself, which is totally fine for me. But it felt kind of unusual and not exactly welcoming for the first moment. A small bedside lamp would be great.

I loved the vibe and the chill-out area. There are lots of activities (also for free), which are perfect for meeting and connecting with people. The bed is super comfy and the staff are really nice.

Very nice vibe, with some many great activities and the best night time bar on the island. Suitable for all ages. Great staff including David doing an incredible job in the bar and Clara at reception.

No towel provided, but you can purchase/deposit. While the mattresses were comfortable enough, the fitted bedsheets don’t actually fit the mattress, so they don’t stay in place at all. There were no blankets, only sheets. No AC during the day. 26 Celsius at night (guests have no control of AC).

The property is super homey and cozy. Lots of spots to chill and socialize. Good WiFi and plenty of outlets and room for personal stuff in dorms. Everyone was very respectful and friendly. The bar and group activities were excellent. Proximity to beach/town was excellent. I cant wait to return.

Tribu Hostel was recommended to me by a friend. The hostel itself has a great location, a few minutes walk from the beach, a few minutes walk from the main street. The staff was super awesome, especially Clara from Madrid, she's a rockstar. She answered all my questions with patience and a big smile. Gracias Clara! The bar upstairs has a happy hour every night from 7-9pm, 2for1 drinks, I had two mezcalitas and they were good! I'd stay there again.

"The entire staff was incredible—from the management team to the reception and all the volunteers. I was also impressed by the variety of courses they offered. The travelers staying there created a great atmosphere that fit perfectly with the hostel vibe. I had the best time ever while traveling, and for the first time, I truly felt at home. While I know things might change with different people working or staying there, at that moment, it was simply perfect. I was supposed to stay for just a few nights, but ended up staying for two weeks!"

The fan above my bunk was broken so was a bit hot, but there was an aircon on at night however it was set to 36 degree Celsius so it was still warm.

Tribu hostel was excellent for what we wanted. It was situated just a little bit down from the main square so it wasn't noisy and on the beach. It was relatively clean. The bathroom was clean and the beds were quite comfortable and just got a top and bottom sheet and pillow. The staff were lovely, the hostel activities were great. We did the yoga a few times and it was so great. We booked all our tours through the hostel and they we're terrific and also got discounts for certain restaurants. It wasn't a party hostel which is what we wanted and had a curfew at midnight so all the music finished. If I ever go back I would stay again.

Everything, the place is very beautiful, in a natural environment and with positive vibes. Tribu is a few meters from the beach. There are different activities offered every day that favor contact with others. The staff is adorable, always ready to help you! The kitchen is great, super well equipped

great location, big hostel, there is a lot happening ( only if you like), with a drinktogether, free salsa and yoga. can really recommend it! if you like you can do the whole day things,if you dont, just go to the beach and chill.

A few things I didn’t like was that the owner of the hostel liked to sell drinks but they were bad and he was pushy to want the bar to do well. Also our room had a leaky toilet since the first time we were in there that would leak on the floor. One other small thing would be that they get a spatula for the kitchen they have. Everyone used forks to make food on the burners

This hostel is great and has a good environment with a variety of people that is stimulating. The Tribu spot is wonderful and loved staying with them a decade ago too. The island has grown a lot though and there is growing pains from that. Good environment to meet people

Two fans plus AC blasting all night doesn't make for the most peaceful sleeping situation but the room was cold so really can't complain!

Excellent location! Not right in the centre of things but not too far away from everything. A very well maintained hostel, well equipped kitchen with free water and coffee! The hangout hammocks are great and there is a lot of opportunities to be social if you want. I was nervous about the reviews saying the music is loud all night - never encountered this.

Music was a bit too loud in the evenings due to the rooftop bar but it was still okay if you wanted to rest in your room.

Location was good, 1 min away from the beach, 3 mins away from the main square. Had a private room which was super nice, clean and even had a balcony. Staff was very kind and helpful. Price was good and the hostel had several tours/activities every day

Clean, colorful and relaxed hostel comfortably in walking distance from the center and beaches. Natalia at the front desk kindly helped me upgrade upon check-in to a private room with a deal that I had seen on booking.com which was super appreciated! Natalia was also super helpful in suggesting activities and coordinating taxi and airport transfers for me and the other guests. The bed in my private room was very comfortable and the AC was appreciated after a long day's travel. Another highlight was the free yoga class in the morning! The hostel also has deals with nearby restaurants and beach clubs so Tribu guests get 10% off which is great (I loved spending a day at their affiliated beach club Carolinda which is apparently the best in Holbox).
