Not a nice inviting Hostel.Just to sleep.Kitchen is in the big Dorm. Never seen that before! 2 showers and 2 toilets in big Dorm.One didn't work. No warm water at one sink. No lightswitch inside small Dorm. Small space to sit.One sofa. The Hostel could be much better and nicer with a bit of work, details and colour. Moses we are in Mexico,put the beautiful colour of your country!

Owner and Helper friendly! Bunk Beds are comfy,but very low. Water hot/could for free. Good coffee.

The huge dorm is just almost impossible to sleep in. 10 beds, no curtains, the kitchen is right in the middle as is the door leading to the backyard, there's no official quiet time so the lights are always running and people are talking, the lockers arent big enough, the entire building is fairly old and you can see that, there's nowhere to put your stuff

The owner and staff are really nice and friendly, the price is okay and it's close-ish to the center, the beds are comfortable too

The sink is too tiny, the beds are a bit wobbly.. we paid too much for the stay but normal because we were there for los dias de los muertos! A bit out of the centre

Mosquitos

Great host but Oaxaca has mosquitos.

1. It's considered in "Zona Central" but it's about a 15 minute walk to the actual city center, which isn't too bad but at night the area can make you feel uneasy. 2. It's quite a squeeze in the rooms. The kitchenette is in the room too, which was a tad peculiar in my opinion. 3. There a no hostel activities in the evenings which was quite the bummer. This is the first time that a hostel I have been to has not had any social activities at all. In addition, besides for a small patio, there's no common area at all to chill with your fellow guests. A little frustrating.

1. It's very clean. I've seen the host personally clean in the mornings andmaking sure that the bathrooms has toiletries. 2. Host is friendly and approachable, always smiling. Tried to help me with things to do, especially regarding day of the dead. Overall it's a nice little place to sleep- but if you're looking for a very Central accommodation with a good atmosphere, I'd recommend a different place.

I paid more than 1.000 mxn for 1 night at the shared room. This is way too much, even if there is dia de muertos and all hostels are booked. I paid less for 2 nights having a room only for myself in the same city, 2 days ealier.

I have a problem giving rating this one 6.0, as I liked the place and the host. And I guess that not in the high season it's great. However...

If you like a quiet place, I would not recommend this. The shared room has 15 beds, and the kitchen is in the middle of it, which makes it very noisy and sometimes smelly, if people are cooking or having dinner...right in the middle of the room.

Very simple hostel stay, with the basic comforts available. Ok with location as long as you don't mind a 20 minute walk to the city! The host was really nice and accommodating, always helped, picked up the phone and was available to help.

the room had like 8 bunk beds (it doesn’t say when you’re booking how many beds it has nor the photos show that) and had bad lightning. the room also only had one toilet for many people. it’s far away from the city too. the house itself looked old and looked like it needed some remodelation.

anything… I arrived there I felt so disappointed that I looked for another accommodation and didn’t stay there. actually the owner was nice (although he said that the money wasn’t refundable when we left but I can’t judge since that’s what it’s written when you book the accommodation).

The owner was very nice to my face however, I got a *very* bad check in my spirit about him. I left to check my bus ticket and he entered into my room and went through my things "cleaning" yet nothing was cleaned. I don't recommend traveling here alone there is a very eerie feeling from each interaction with him. Look past how he treats you and check his spirit or even look into his eyes. For the spiritually intelligent and discerning, there are OTHER PLACES! A creep of a classifiaction yet to be revealed. I arrived and each advance, I retreated 3 steps, he either cannot read human social cues or did not care.

Flexible checkout and willing to accomodate a few blocks from centro. EVEN IF YOUR THINGS ARE IN A PRIVATE ROOM LOCK THEM UP. Be *very* careful what you share with him including photo identification. Not sure what he does with it.
