Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech Republic- Breakfast is simple – toast, cereal, butter, jam, “maple” syrup, coffee/tea. - For someone, the remote location might be a downside because there are no restaurants or places to go for dinner or drinks. - Booking states that the front desk speaks English and Spanish, but unfortunately, we couldn’t communicate in English with anyone. Luckily, Google Translate came to the rescue.
Excellent accommodation away from civilization – perfect for a peaceful vacation. Very affordable prices, and booking through Booking.com includes breakfast. The stay includes access to a swimming pool and two cenotes, with a third one planned for the future. Unfortunately, there is no gluten-free breakfast option, but Josmar and Ivan were very helpful and arranged a vegetable salad as an alternative. 👌🏻

Czech RepublicWe only missed some clothes hangers and would appreciate net windows against insects.
We had an amazing 1 night stay. We arrived pretty soon in the afternoon but still it was not enough. Next time we would stay 2 nights to fully enjoy the place. It is a quite and peaceful place. Two cenotes to explore, nice swimming pool. The room was super clean and good smelling. Great outdoor shower with hot water. Everything is well designed, we really loved it. We stayed there from Tuesday to Wednesday and were the only ones out of six cottages. Maybe during weekend it is more busy. Bring some water.

NetherlandsStaff was not really welcoming and breakfast is only 2 slices of toast. But didn't matter much, this place is still great value for your money.
Amazing place, there are 3 cenotes on the property and a nice walking route for about 20 minutes.

AustraliaThe cenote had really low water level so we just wondered at the rock formations and swam in the pool.
We stayed in the glamping which was well set out. The caves are AMAZING. We had a nice time walking the friendly dog Frida on the forest trails between the cave, ruin and cenote. Bird watching from the pool was my favourite.

GermanyThis accommodation is really something extraordinary! The room was huge and really high quality equipment. But the most memorable part was the surroundings. There was a lot to explore and the cenotes were insane! To make up for it, it was very easy to spend time at the pool. Since we stayed there in the off season, we were all alone in the accommodation and we really enjoyed it. The staff was also very attentive and super nice. If we could, we would definitely come back again!

United KingdomThe place is really hard to find! Booking and Google have incorrect location spots and we spent half an hour driving up and down the roads nearby. It's because of the new bridge/ trainline being built so I think a sign is missing. You literally need to turn down the right side of the new bridge and head down a dirt track that looks like it is for the trainline workmen (photo attached to help). Well worth the effort though. And a minor point, the receptionist had kindly arranged for us to have an early breakfast but told us the wrong place to get it, so we were waiting a while and was a bit of a rush before our early start.
The room and en suite were outstanding! If this was any nearer town it would be super expensive. It was huge and so lovely! In fabulous new condition and a lovely balcony all on the ground floor looking out across the pretty grounds and new pool. The shower was powerful and we appreciated the extra details of origami towels etc. It was a great hideaway, set apart from any other buildings or businesses, it was about 15 minutes drive away from civilisation (apart from the new road and trainline being built just down the road). The 3 cenotes were fascinating which we had all to ourselves - although not enough water to swim in. We enjoyed the signposted walk around the grounds. An easy 35 mins drive to Ek Balam which was perfect for us.

BelgiumThis hotel was in a very difficult situation due to the work for the Tren Maya project and the team was surprised that we made it to their place. We were the only customer and the restaurant was closed. We nevertheless got a simple but decent breakfast before leaving the next day. Not he fault of the hotel we must say but it would be wise to enquire about the situation before booking there for the time being.
The location is heavenly. The caverna cenote is absolutely beautiful.

CanadaBring extra food for the evening time or plan to drive to Tickuch in the dark for tacos. Directions of how to get here could be clearer: take a good photo of your google maps, it is 10 minutes north of Tickuch, 25 minutes outside of Valladolid, Yalcobá is a village just to the north(over a bridge). Wi-fi is in the common lounge area only.
Lovely jungle property with 6 cabana style rooms, a really nice pool area, jungle paths, two small cenotes. The rooms have a nice balcony overlooking the pool and trees. It's quiet. It is a good place for access to nearby cenotes such as Palomitas and Chukum, as well the amazing ruins of Ek Balam. There are taco places in the nearby village of Tickuch (10 minutes by car), otherwise bring some snacks for the evening! They sell beer and coca-cola, and there is a basic breakfast. Pet fee was quite expensive, 500 pesos per night. Nice people.

MexicoThe restaurants offers a really basic breakfast, with no other food options during the day. The hotel is 30 minutes away from Valladolid, so meals become a problem.

MexicoAmazing hotel with its own cenotes and jungle paths. It was just amazing to wake up in the jungle and take a walk with our dogs around the property. The cenotes are so beautiful and impressive. The place is so interesting and full of history. The cavern cenote even has ancient paintings. The mayans were hiding there during the Spanish inquisition. We just loved every bit of our stay! The staff was super friendly ans we were all alone for two nights in the resort, definitely recommend!

The best hotel of our trip! In the forest with a beautiful hotel area. We were the only visitors there. The cenotes are fantastic, only for us. After that, we visited 33 cenotes and the one in this hotel was the best. There is an open-air pool. The room is big and clean. The staff is friendly. I love the dog which lives in the hotel area. The sounds of the forest are fantastic.

United KingdomThe hotel is really far from anywhere to have dinner, so we ended up driving 40 minutes into Vallidolid. Also the breakfast didn't have any vegan options, we thought we ordered something that was okay and it came with chicken on and we still got charged for it even though we didn't eat it. Also the person sleeping in the farthest away bed gets absolutely blasted by the aircon which makes it pretty chilly.
The cenotes and park are absolutely incredible! Not great for swimming in, but really stunning. The rooms were comfortable with two beds, although they weren't really big enough for two people so we ended up sleeping in separate beds.
