Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Rooms are not sound proof so got woken up in the night by a loud group in the corridor who had just arrived back however this is not a fault of the hotel.
Excellent location short walking distance to all main attractions. Communication for check in and check out was detailed and easy to follow. Building felt secure and safe. There is a small convenience shop next door which was useful. Room was as expected, clean and comfortable.

The noise
Great location, just few minutes walk to the jetty, street art and etc. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Only negative point was that our room was on ground floor and therefore a bit noisy due to the hallway
Modern and well equipped accommodation. Jack was really friendly and we had the opportunity to store our luggage before checking in as we arrived really early in the morning.

Not a fan of self-check but can’t help that but it was very easy over Whatsapp.
Room was great, big bed, good aircon and big bathroom and location was perfect for exploring Georgetown. Hosts were contactable on Whatsapp to help us with anything.

Honestly the property was fabulous for what we needed. We knew that we were unlikely to have a window and we do struggle a bit waking up and feeling fresh without natural daylight so if that will greatly impact you then it’s worth noting. We would stay there again though!
Super easy check in, amazing communication with host- they were sooo fast to reply and really helpful with where to go for coffee and help with buses. Shop downstairs was great. Great location for the ferry and easy walk to areas like love lane etc. we loved a coffee shop called Coffee lane which did the most amazing peanut butter toast with eggs- must go!!! Grab was so easy to get everywhere and we got a grab to the national park for a hike and boat ride.

The room was pretty dark as it had no windows or anything. It is definetly not a place to hang out in for a while, you will want to get out, but thats what you want to do in Georgetown anyways!
The location is very convenient, the check-in procedure is fast and easy (even for a same day booking) and you get an answer from the host within minutes. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There is not much in the room, you get a bed and a dresser, thats it but what more do you need. The bathroom facilities were also good. For this price, it is the perfect place to stay for 2 to 3 days and discover Georgetown.

The sound proofing - you can hear everything that’s happening outside your room (in my case kids running up and down the hallway screaming), so better bring ear plugs. Rooms don’t even have windows, so it tends to get really stuffy. Rooms are tiny, okay for solo travelers but I can imagine that space becomes an issue with 2 people in the room.
The location is excellent, right in the middle of Georgetown, easy to explore everything by foot. Many good cafes and restaurants nearby. Building has a small mini mart on the ground level. Self checkin was smooth and staff was very helpful (by WhatsApp).

Kettle given but no mugs/cups provided so couldn’t use the kettle to make tea/coffee. A fridge would be nice in the room. Poor soundproofing. WiFi was hit and miss.
Good location. Nice room and decent size. Good shower. Hairdryer included. Filtered water provided.

No complaints from us, it was exactly as expected.
Check in is all done through Whatsapp, so make sure you're comfortable with this. According to the property this is for COVID reasons. They are very responsive and helpful while checking in, it is easy. Room is clean and tidy, the bathroom is small but functional. There is a small shop on site useful for drinks and snacks. Very good coffee shop across the road.

The electrical wiring was strange. Some lights only worked when other lights were turned on.

Rate quite high, not value for money. I understand it was peak season during the time I booked the room but I spent around 1k just to rent 4 nights. There’s without small fridge in the room, soundproof is poor, WiFi is slow and asked for house keeping it charged me RM20 once.
