MalaysiaThe toilet honestly is very clean most of the time but the sitting toilet has very bad flushing pressure so might sometimes end up with a surprise gift before doing your business, as the stay is above a chinese kopitiam (coffee shop) the smell of raw pork will linger (not really a convenient smell) around but then again that is more of a preference thing. Other than that room was very very comfortable
To me personally for the price it was very fair and a very good deal. The person running the place Irene was a fantastic host even got us a new night light as purs we broken. Very friendly and convenient spot to stay in if you are looking to go see Kek Lok Si, Penang Hill as the temple is just behind the stay and is very near to a bus stop which takes you into town.

MalaysiaIt's shared bathroom, it was not stated in facilities description. No simple amenities like bottle water or parking The towel provided will leave loose fiber and and bits on your body. The rooms are totally NOT soundproof but they stated otherwise. 3am rubbish truck noise 4am market people talking noise. Very noisy. For this price, there are many other better options
