Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomTwo stays here, the first one was great, possibly due to it being rather empty, couldn't complain at all. The staff were very helpful, stored my bag while I travelled elsewhere. Second stay was only spoiled by a noisy man in the room upstairs, significant noise travelled down until v late.

United KingdomThe room had a musty smell.
We were warmly received at the hotel. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable, we had a quiet nights sleep. There was plenty of hot water. The staff allowed us to leave our luggage with them for the day before our evening flight.

PhilippinesThere’s nothing I did not like. Keep in mind There’s no elevator in the building and it may look a bit like it’s had its years, but place is decent. Improvement in slight smell of mold in the closet.
I appreciated much the 24hr reception, check in after hours and wake up service. Also, their kindness, attentiveness from the man, and from the younger lady reception her information regarding Jesselton Point to get best deals for island hopping. Appreciate the laptop safe and tv cable clear channels.

United KingdomStrange mechanical/pump sound every few minutes. Not sure if heard by every one, but it was heard in room 304 and was annoying. Strange that a kettle, water and creamer were supplied but no coffee.
Location was great for us. The rooms was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly.

FinlandWindow in room is covered with semi-transparent film, so you actually can´t see out. But nothing to see there, except the next building´s wall.
Location is very good, 500 m from Gaya street and many restaurants next to the hotel. Staff is helpful and nice. You can leave your luggage to hotel storage after check-out time. The room was small but clean and quiet.

MalaysiaIt’s a shophouse converted into a hotel so space limitations are expected.
No F&B outlets but they won’t do well as there are so many eateries around the place. KK had a spate of water supply issues but the hotel was able to able to provide water and at good pressure too. TV programs are good too. Adequate cable channels when most hotels like it normally provide free to air boring government channels. My room was clean and the bed comfortable and firm. It has a room safe and a mini fridge. Plus coffee making facilities. All told, very good value for money.

MalaysiaThe building is not suitable for physically impaired people. I had a terrible back pain and I got a room on the 3rd floor so climbing the stairs up and down and with bags was not nice. The room was rather clean but there was human hair on the blanket and some stains so it's highly apparent the cleanliness is not a priority. Also while there they did not clean my room at any time. They'd randomly ask me if I wanted a clean room when I was already in the room, which I had to decline since I needed to use the room. The room is quite small so it worked for 1 person but for 2 with bags it will get congested easily.
The location is near Gaya street where the night and morning markets are. Just 5-600m walk and you're there. Also quite close to the waterfront. The place is cosy and petite. The staff were friendly.

United KingdomSlight smell from the bathroom. No water refill available. Slight issue with checking in, although this seemed to be an unfortunate issue and not the staffs faults.
Comfy bed, good aircon, good hot water, good location within KK. Shop downstairs and laundry place very close by. Friendly staff.

AustraliaOur room did not have towels, and it was a bit hard to work out why. Turned out the laundry service let the hotel down. We ended up getting some worn-out somewhat frayed old towels from the staff that were clean and did the job. It wasn't their fault and they were a bit embarrassed about it. Best to know there's no lift, you need to climb the stairs. Be aware some rooms are internal - no window, just request a room with a window.
Compact, comfortable room with all we needed for an affordable one-night layover. Well located. Handy shops and eating venues nearby.
